Hemiantus of Erages
Asar tries to disarm Hemiantus of the threatening club...
[dice=Improved Disarm]1d20+9
That does indeed disarm me.
Hemiantus swears under his breath as the club is knocked from his hands.
Hemiantus of Erages
Hemiantus, deprived of the club, just punches the skeleton with his gauntlet. Gauntlet: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 3 + 2 = 19,Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
GM Infinity +1
Erald again tries to stabilize Medghar.
Heal: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (9) - 2 = 7
And ofc Medghar can roll his own stability check as well
Asar dodges the wizard's surprising punch and counter-attacks with a short, single swipe...
PA, Longsword 2h: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
dmg: 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17
Hemiantus, too, falls...
Well, looks like its up to William to save the day

William, the least likely to make it, growls once more and fires a ray again sure he will hit.
begging the gods for a hit: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
1d6 ⇒ 4×2=8
The ray does more than just hit, it seers the very fabric of asar's being!
OMG I WAS SURE I WAS DOOMED! OMG THE GODS SMILE APON THE EVIL BASTARD!
GM Infinity +1
Hahaha, nice! Very well done.
With combat now over, remaining party members can take 10 on heal checks/aid to stabilize. I believe Medghar last had the lantern..
As the light of William's arcanely twisted positive energy fades, and Asar's bones little more than a smudge of ash on the cold stone...the Everflame seems to burn brighter, beckoning you near...indeed you can hear whispering in your ear though still just out of reach.
Erald says something like "Let's light this thing and get out of here. I think the honor is yours, William." and passes you the lantern.
GM Infinity +1
As you near, the flame seems attracted to the lantern as if 2 magnetic poles adjoining. The flame is warm and gives light, but it does not burn. The lantern's window seems to refract a particularly concentrated beam across the chamber, like a fold in paper, and for a moment you catch a glimpse of a knight or warrior in some impossible shadow. Turning your gaze and trying to find it, you notice it is in fact some ghost of the afterlife penetrating through to this realm. In a bluish-purple glow you see the face of Kassen nearly as it has been depicted on the murals...though outside battle his demeanor is more calm and comforting. He sports a neat beard and is clad in mail.
A wave of energy pulses through the chamber, delivering healing energies into the wounded as an herbalist waters her toils...
Cure Moderate Wounds, Mass: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (1, 4) + 5 = 10
All PCs healed for that amount.
"So...Asar has been driven out at last. I thank you...no doubt you all were not expecting this."
In addition, the unconscious woman slowly stirs awake.
Hemiantus of Erages
Hemiantus groans as he sits up.

Og Booklover
Og also slowly recovers, looking about. Seeing the ghost he asks Could it have something to do with those matching pendents?
GM Infinity +1
He seems to struggle to remember, kneeling before his corpse he notes its absence "The pendants...yes...someone has taken them it would seem." he stands and explains "The pendants are 2 parts of a 3 part key which disables a complex mechanism for a vault we came across, back when we traveled together. No, it isn't just a key, but a wayfinder..."
GM Infinity +1
"We looted the vault long ago, most of the funds went into fortifying the town now called Kassen into a trade hub for this area. It was mostly a symbol of our unity...but Asar always thought he didn't get his fair share. I've never learned what happened to Iramine, our third. Perhaps she still lives."
GM Infinity +1
"Xin-Grafar, the City of Golden Death...but if you wish to seek it out, you would need to complete the tri-key. Now, my connection here is dwindling, but I can give you some things to help in the future..."
He plucks a scale from his armor, one for each of you, explaining it will grant you luck. Amulet slot, reroll attack, save or skill In addition, he produces a bag of holding type I, and a bashing shield +1.
Searching around the other opened tombs, you find the bodies of more raiders similar to those before. One has a note that reads "The amulets are entombed with Kassen and Asar". Among their remains are a wand, bracers, and a horn which all have magical auras, and a spellbook.
Hemiantus of Erages
Hemiantus approaches the specter and bows low. "Do you think there is a chance of Asar ever returning or has his spirit been sent to Pharasma's Spire?"
GM Infinity +1
"It was likely the theft of his prized amulet that woke him from rest. It is truly unbelievable how far a man's vengeance will inspire him...hatred can cross the line of death. But I think his energy has been extinguished...at least until further violations are carried against him. It's hard to see an old friend tormented over something so base." he kneels at the remains of Asar. "I never betrayed him...he only believed it to be so. Belief isn't reality, but it can change reality, I suppose."
Og Booklover
Og considers the group's options. We need to get that fire back to the town and let them know all that has happened even if we wish to follow up on any of this other information.
GM Infinity +1
At this point the crypt has been fully explored, and all treasures to be had have been had, save whats on Kassen's corpse. Oh, and Asar! Totally forgot, there is his magical mail and magic sword.
The woman speaks up "...p-please take me with you? I-I'm Dmira...Roldare's sister? I can't be here any longer..."
Hemiantus of Erages
Hemiantus nods. "Come along, Dmira. We're not very excited to remain here either. This place was almost the death of all of us."
The half-elf then helps the others gather what other valuables they came across in their exploration of the crypt and heads for the exit.
GM Infinity +1
Kassen's ghost appears contemplative as his form again fades into the shadows of the Everflame.
Your trip back to town takes 2 days, during which there is little to excite you. Dmira's loud whimpering and crying keeps some of you up at night, as she mourns the loss of the many townsfolk she had grown up with.
Mayor Uptal greets you at the gates. A crowd has gathered and they cheer again in their totally inappropriate way "Once again the brave heroes, despite the perils of...uh...good lord, what happened!?"
Hemiantus of Erages
"No, no, Roldare should be here somewhere. He was alive the last we saw him. At least I think he was."
Hemiantus then turns to William. "Thank you, William, that is a small consolation, at least."
Turning to the mayor, he explains. "Yes, it seems that most everyone sent from the village is dead, killed by the reanimated bones of a long-dead Asar, who was looking for vengeance."
GM Infinity +1
An old woman in the crowd blushes and smiles warmly at the comment "Awwww, and look how humble the adventurers are!" she waves a finger to some children "You little punks could learn a thing or two from their example!"
The jubilation in the crowd recedes however, when a stern looking farmer says bluntly "We're Kassenites. We bury our dead. Get every shovel you can and load up the mules. We've got a job to do!" he seems to be addressing the crowd, not you all.
Just as you thought it might be time to relax with an ale and a pillowed chair, Holgast approaches and says something like "Tee-hee! My little orcs gave you a good scare, didn't they! No one ever disbelieves Holgast!"
William Nightwing

William turns to the wizard, a serious look on his face. your orcs waisted out resources, and could have caused serious distress had possibly resaulted in far worse injury.
He then turns to Hem, <have you forgotten we could speak telepathically? Or did you feel it proper to awser a silent question out loud.>
Hemiantus of Erages
Hemiantus shrugs, "To be honest, I sometimes lose track of what is said mentally and what out loud. Doesn't that happen to you?"
He then holds up a hand to William. "One second." Pulling out the wand of true strike he found in the tomb, Hemiantus casts it on himself, after which he walks over to Holgast and punches him in the face.
Unarmed strike (provoking: 1d20 + 3 + 20 ⇒ (10) + 3 + 20 = 33, Nonlethal damage: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Hemiantus is not hiding his actions, so if one of the other wizards (or townsfolk) tries to stop him, they probably can get in the way.
GM Infinity +1
Blood ejects from both nostrils as Holgast's home erupts into flame, he can't help but start crying. Frightened and confused townspeople start running for their lives at the chaos. "Tainted! Tainted by the damned!" they shout. No one seems brave enough to challenge the Second Slayers of Asar.
lol guys
GM Infinity +1
Holgast casts a spell and takes flight, making a bee line for the top of his crumbling tower. A middle aged housewife shakes her fist "Damn wizards and their magics..."
Probably a good place to end the module.
Loose end: The travelling Allen Ransford, investigating the other crypt met up with Roldare as he fled and returns to town later that night. Any other questions/confusions you would like answers to?
Hemiantus of Erages
Hemiantus throws William a wink. "I would think that you would understand the desire to punch a more senior wizard in the nose, eh?"
Since we're not planning on doing part two of this, I have no further questions.
