Ok, lets get this show on the road. Was just waiting for other games to start because timezones can be tricky

You are goblins of the Licktoad Tribe. Or at least you will be someday. For now, though, you’re whelps—ravenous, amoral, grumpy goblin children who learned to stop eating rocks only a few months ago. But with every day that passes, your whelping cage seems smaller and smaller. The outside world increasingly beckons to your goblin curiosity (and appetite), but the hateful cage bars holds you at bay.

A few other whelps flourish in the cage, even as the smaller and weaker ones are thinned out. Kettlehead stands literally head and shoulders above the competition, being a goblin of impeccable flatulence and having already fashioned himself an impressive hat from a teapot left lying too close to the cages. Even adult goblins—legendary Chief Rendwattle Gutwad among them—have taken note of Kettlehead and his advanced skills of poking the rest of you with sticks and delivering bruise-inducing noogies. But today is special. Today, instead of a bucket of fish heads, whelp-wrangler Loptop brought a key and unlocked the door to your cage, spilling you sorry lot into the world for the first time.

Other Licktoads gather around, eyeballing you and chewing on the fish heads that should have been yours. You all are too big for cages Loptop snorts. But you’re not Licktoads yet. Licktoads gotta be useful. Licktoads gotta be tough! Licktoads gotta earn their places in the tribe. And that’s what you’re gonna do now! Show us where you belong, even if that ends being the boneyard!

Loptop lines you up along with others from the cage including Cugick and Rempty. You are presented with four “trials”. You may elect to engage in any number of them from none to four.

The point of the trials is to earn “Licktoad Badges” to help you not die before you grow up. They work like a potion. You can be activated as an immediate action, usually in reaction to some danger or special condition. There are enough badges for all of you to earn one of each

Which trials will each of you attempt?

Even though as a player I don't think this might be the wisest of things to do...why not, this might be fun...going for all 4 of the challenges

And don't forget guys, each of you has a bonus in one of the trials too. It is on your character sheet. Poog gets a bonus to Hurtful Words. Chuffy gets a bonus during Animal Friendship. Mogmuch gets a bonus during Happy Beat. Reta gets a bonus during Happy beat too.

"Poog ready to be Licktoad! Poog eat coal and cuss, and Poog catch spider! Poog do fire and riding for glory of Zarongel! Not that Poog worship Zarongel or anything b-baka~..."

Alrighty, the Poog is loose! Let's see how big of a flop this is going to be!

"Chuffy gunna show hez on da ball. Chuffy takes a chance to win dem all!

"Reta no fall in pig pen," Reta boasts proudly, "Reta surprised Chuffy not fall in. Reta show you all how to do it!"

She hops up and down, eagerly awaiting her chance to throw herself and her big, round head into danger.

Animal Friendship

You are led to an area containing a large spider. This spider is bigger than you are, but that never stopped you before.

Happy Beat

You stand in the middle of a group of adult goblins. They look on expectantly, awaiting your entertaining injuries.

Please describe how you will injure yourself, make a Bluff or Charisma check and roll 1d3 as well.

Hurtful Words

Loptop takes a stone from the fire, you open your mouth and she put it inside.

Squirmtongue

You take a mouthful of the wet, cold mud and using your teeth and tongue try to locate a worm in the soupy liquid.

Rita slams her extra large head down, mouth gaping wide, into the mud and clamps her jaws shut. Her eyes roll around in her head as her cheeks bulge this way and then that way. Finally, her eyebrows rise and she starts extruding silt and mud through her sharp teeth.

"Ree-ba hab ib! Ree-ba funk."

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12

Reta's takes a massive mouthful of mud. She finds a worm but does not manage to avoid swallowing it. It wiggles as it goes down into her belly.

Poog's Hurtful Words challenge.

Intelligence + Talent: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

Poog bravely ignores the burning stones as he comes up with a clever and original insult, directed at no one in particular.

"Chuffy's father was a hamster and his mother smelled of elderberries!"

Poog's Animal Friendship challenge.

CMB: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (19) - 3 = 16
Dexterity: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22

After muttering a strange insult not befitting a goblin of his dirty mouth, Poog attempts the Animal Friendship challenge. While certainly not friendly, Poog masterfully wrangles the spider and shoves it around for all to see, flashing a toothy grin at the other whelps.

Chuffy accepts the hot coal in his mouth and proceeds to fire off insults

FORT: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20 "Poog pertends a filthy pose...All other goblins he tries to snows...but every day he change hiz clothes...takes bath to smell like pretty rose!"
INT: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (16) - 1 = 15

Chuffy continues, "I seez thru Retas stingy ruze...she gives homeless dorfs back stolen shooz...her brain must be just one big bruiz..she a stinky burp without no scuze!" Chuffy raises his index finger in an uncharacteristic scholarly manner, "And as I have used a double negative, Reta is in fact a burp that has been excused...and we all know how rude it is to excuse a goblin's burp!"

Chuffy proceeds to slap himself across the face to exorcise whatever demons just possessed him to say such a thing-transitioning into:

Happy Beats

Chuffy plants his dagger into the ground, pulls down his pants and proceeds to carve lightning bolts into his arse. He then grabs his right ear, rears back, and faceplants into the ground. Face still planted, he scurries his legs to his knees so his butt and its new designs are in full view in all its glory!

Poog's insult was not quite clever enough for the liking of the surrounding goblins. He may choose to either spit the stone out, or try again spit it out or make another fort save and intelligence check along with your witty insult. Poog does manage to deftly lasso the spider though, much to the delight of the onlookers.

Chuffy insult is very clever and get plenty of giggles from the audience. He doesn't manage to leash the spider or not swallow the worm, but the goblins, always eager for entertainment will let you try again.

Despte an admirable display of self-harm the crowd just aren't that into Chuffy's pain. Try again if you like

Reta takes another big mouthful of mud and swishes it around in her giant mouth. She spits out the mud without ever finding a worm.

"Bah! Worms cheat!"

Reta beats her chest with her precious club and howls in challenge before ramming her giant head into the nearest adult, then another after bouncing off, and then another, and another until she's too dizy to try again.

Reta wobbles over to the fire pit and shoves an ember into her mouth. Her eyes open wide before releasing her invective. "Oo soopith ath a lobshanth oo weebs ba foobithen weffers!"

Intelligence: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (16) - 1 = 15
It burns!: 1d3 ⇒ 2

She then tries to cool off her burning tongue by taking another mouthful of mud.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

There goes another worm. "Stupid cheating worms!" She shakes her club at the mud before diving into it again.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

HP: 3/8

Reta gathers herself and makes a run at several badges in one go. Managing to catch a worm, hurl an insult and entertain the crown with her creative use of her head and other goblins.

Does she have any attempts left? Or is it try until you pass out?

She has passed everything except Animal Friend. She can attempt that too. There are limits on each task, but they are individual limits per task and don't cross over

Reta, invigorated by the two worms she accidentally swallowed, rubs her hands together and charges over to the spider pit.

"Now Reta show small-head-goblins how to wrestle spider!"

The spider dances away from her grasping green mitts. "Get back here!"

She finally catches two of the spider's eight legs and holds on tight. Using her feet, she tries to rope the spider into submission with indeterminate success.

Reta wrestles he spider and attached the rope. She has completed all 4 tasks.

Good Job Reta.

Reta stands triumphantly atop the wrangled spider and blows a raspberry at the other goblin whelps. "Reta best!"

She quickly hops down and scurries away as the spider starts to wriggle free. "Next!"

Frustrated, Chuffy starts kicking himself in the head

Despite his best efforts Chuffy swallows yet another mouthful or wormy mud, more damage to yawns from the crowd and the spider again evades his attempts to leash it.

Actually, it's Hurtful Words I've failed, not Squirmtongue.

Adamant and foolhardy as ever, Poog keeps the stone in his mouth while he thinks of a new insult. Easily ignoring the burning pain, Poog mumbles to himself, "Reta think that longshanks look nice sometimes".

Intelligence: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Even after that he doesn't spit the stone out, and in due time it starts searing his tongue.

My mistake, you are right.

Poog tries his best but doesn't succeed in being clever enough to get the crowd's approval. As he tries again the stone gets too hot and he spits out onto the ground, drawing a round of jeers from the assembled Licktoads.

"Poog take that back or Reta toss Poog to Squealy Nord!"

"Chuffy is a start ta stew, Chuffy thinks he may be due!"

Mogmurch looks as the spider and tries to grab it by one of it's legs

..and surprisingly manages to get hold of the spider as she spins it around to keep the scary fangs away from his face he tries to tie up with a piece of rope

Mormurch decides to run towards a nearby boulder and manages to scramble up to it after a while. As he stand on the top he puts his hands behind his back and dives off it, aiming head first towards the ground...hoping his flexible skull will keep the squishy parts on the inside

Hi guys. Sorry. I am a little under the weather.

Chuffy succeeds at his last 2 tasks.

In the interest of speeding this up I am going to give you the DCs. Animal Friendship DC 9 Combat Maneuver and a DC12 Dex check. Happy Beat 1d3 NL damage and a DC15 Buff/Charisma check (with bonus of the damage). Hurtful Words DC 8 fort check to hold the stone then DC 14 Int check, if you fail the fort you spit it out, if you fail the int can can try again but the fort check is a DC9, then 10 etc. Squirmtongue is DC12 Perception then DC14 Reflex

Chuffy sighs and decides one last attempt at Happy Beats. He thinks, maybe he's been too sophisticated for the audience. Not knowing what else to do at this point, he jams two fingers in his nostrils, lifts them up and slaps his nose Three Stooges Style.

CHA: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (6) - 2 = 4
DMG: 1d3 ⇒ 3

My tracker is once again all but over the place! I've only attempted Animal Friendship and Hurtful Words, and failed Hurtful Words twice.

Poog successfully keeps the stone in his mouth and eyes Reta.

"Reta's s sword so long, she must be compensating for something!"

Sorry Superdodo. The combined checks got away on me and I have had trouble keeping them straight. I will do better

So far I have Reta completing all tasks.

Chuffy has passed Animal Friend, Squirmtongue and Hurtful Words. Has 4 fails on Happy Beats and 6 Non Lethal and cannot make any more attempts (1 more damage would would make you staggered and you cannot complete the task)

Poog has passed Hurtful Words and Animal Friend

Mogmurch has passed Animal Friend and failed the other 3 once.

Seeing none of the goblins laugh as he smashes his head into the ground Mogmurch decides to try again and scramples up the highest tree he can find and against this time acts falling of one of the tree branches as he tries to climb even higher.

I think that once you spit out the stone the hurtful contest if over, right? But the worm can be tried over and over?

It takes Mogmurch 9 tries in combinations of finding a nice mouthful of mud which contains a worm and getting the worm between his lips without either spitting it out of chewing it up..but finally he manages.

Yes, once you spit it out it is over. I think others have had another attempt though so I cannot disadvantage you. You get 3 fails on Squirmtongue before you'r belly is too full of mud to continue.

That is another pass for Mogmurch on the Happy Beats.

If I had it to do over I would do each challenge on it's own so that it was easier to control and follow. You live and learn

"Poog too blind to see Reta no has sword!"

She blows a raspberry back at Poog.

Mogmurch spits out the mud and pieces of worms that didn't make it

"Mogmurch done! No more trails! Me be worthy now!"

By my count; Passed 2, failed 2 - no more retries

Chuffy stumbles off the trial area pouting, "This s*@t is rigged!"

"As rigged as your head!" Reta shouts at the pouting Chuffy.

Seeing that the other goblins are ahead of him in most tasks, Poog grabs his club and smacks himself in the knees, falling over and landing on his head.

Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 1
Charisma + Damage: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15

Succeeding to make a few older goblins laugh, and with his head still planted in the ground, Poog takes in a mouthful of dirt and starts looking for a worm. Just when he feels he can't swallow anymore a large, wriggling worm emerges from between his teeth and he grabs it, victorious.

Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Perception Attempt 2: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Perception Attempt 3: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
Reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22

That's a success in all 4 challenges.
