It seems that all has not been well with him, which is most troubling when you stop and think about how could things not always be well with a God!?! But then, I suppose these mysteries are why we must all seek for the higher truths of enlightenment. What of you? What do you believe?"

Acrobatics to balance paper on head: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
It's no use; the paper just won't stay on her head. Wading back to the pile of her belongings, she sets down the drawing supplies and wades back into the pool to swim over to the miniature city for a good look.
Swim: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (7) - 1 = 6
Unfortunately, she sinks like a stone. Fortunately, she is able to hold her breath and walk along the bottom back to shore. Gasping heavily, she plops down at the water's edge to regain her (albeit feeble) strength. After a few minutes, she tries again.
Swim: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19
This time with aplomb! Upon reaching the miniature city, Pai grasps the edge of the pedestal and examines it in excruciating detail so as to memorize it for sketching later.
