About Grunyar the Dragon Slayer

HISTORY: Appearing as a deeply tanned Dwarf, Grunyar Jebala stands 4 and-a-half feet tall. He is fairly muscular with dark brown hair and grey eyes. In addition to his armor, he commonly wears desert type clothing with sturdy boots in the reds and golds of his deity with a white tunic. He is carrying a composite long bow and has a Dwarven Waraxe on his hip.
Grunyar was born, and spent his early years, in a quiet village of Dwarves nestled in the Barrier Wall Mountains along the Western border of the nation of Katapesh. Spending his early years in the village he was raised by his parents, a Dwarven tinkerer and his wife giving him an affinity towards math. Eventually the day came that would change his life, and give it a permanent goal. On that eventful day a red dragon flew into the small valley where Grunyar was living destroying it completely and scattering the few inhabitants that survived. As some of their fellow villagers left for other Dwarven settlements or places like Osirion, he and his mother fled across the Katapeshi dessert to Katapesh City.
After moving to Katapesh City, Grunyar was forced to grow up in the area of the city known as the Nightstalls. While surviving there he learned how to fight fear and was then that he decided some day he would become a dragonslayer and avenge the destruction of his childhood home. When he became old enough to do so, he began to hire himself out as a caravan escort. It was on these caravans that he gained a hatred for Gnolls as they would commonly attack the caravans as well as the other remaining Dwarven settlements, among others. It is his hope to eventually become a well-trained ranger and an accomplished Dragonslayer.
