I added a full map of Korvosa and a cutout from the campaign pinpointing the fishery, Zellara's house and the Citadel.

Bottom right of the Roll20 map.

You all can look at the map and see what would be to the west...

Roughly, the closest landmark West would be Castle Korvosa. Is the smoke from just normal, ordinary, every day morning fires, or is it unusual?

Unusually heavy, thick black clouds billow up from a number of different locations.

I'll pose this question to the rest group for what we'd like to do next (Nik & Ophelia).

Would you guys like to stay for breakfast and rest or immediately venture out again to investigate the danger smoke and/or go back to the fishery based on the guardswoman's warnings? Trisane is willing to go either way at this point now that he's finally completed his quest to return his nephew safely home.

My opinion is that it might be a good time to rest up a bit (casters especially) and gather some information from the ledger and lockbox. Maybe resupply also but if you both want to go, we can go.

I'd suggest we stay and rest a bit. Maybe figure out what is going on with the smoke, and investigate the items more.

Nik also could use a rest I would say. He is unsure what to do about the trouble and where to go with his search for Tobar. But for now he will trust that Trisane is a man of his word and will help.

Thanks for the last post. I knew mechanically it wouldn't work but it was what I felt Nik would do. I just figured it would open the door.

Now, I would like to have Nik try a reading of sorts, but I am not sure how much you want to leave to me to do this. Also, not sure what tools you have to reference for all the various Harrow methods in the game. Let me know how you would like to handle it and I go with it.

So tired now but it was worth it. Lots of PGS, too much really. Still we played in the new exclusives and the new special. I got to run a few sessions and met some now people. Pretty sure I will do it again next year, though with a break planned into it.

I have been having work issues, which is why I have been erratic in my posts the last two weeks. I think things should normalize now - just in time for Trisane's vacay!

A few questions for you guys (Ophelia & Nik):

#1.) Assuming it is still night time. How do you feel about staying the night before going after Vancaskerkin in the morning? Citadel or Inn?

Trisane's opinion: He'd rather stay in the Citadel barracks and re-equip.

#2.) We have some money owed to us by the jeweler. Adventure or shopping first?

Trisane's opinion: He'd rather go after Vancaskerkin first thing in the morning (or this evening if we don't stay the night somewhere).

Nik is willing to wait, and then he can get Rom some food (and himself). Nik will give the place a try but if need be he will return to his studio.

We had a busy day. We started early morning, and its evening now. Ophelia would want to rest for the night before going after him. She'd suggest visiting the gnome later in the morning, to give him time to get the money together.

We also have the silver chest from the queen to look at.

Just for clarification, it is night now, probably 11 or later by the time you are done talking to FM Kroft.... whatever you all decide is fine.

Equipment - anything you would expect a normal guardsman to have would be available. Nothing magical.

Excelsior true believers - time to advance to level 2.

For HP would you rather do average+1 or roll here on the discussion thread? I will go with group preference.

I'm guessing these wouldn't be available at the Fort, so she'll try to get them at the shop.

There are a few MW items. The guard probably equips mundane equipment for most of its members, but you are "special agents" of the Guard, so you can requisition a MW breastplate, and one weapon (your choice).
No MW bucklers (not too common in the guard). The sunrod, alchemist's fire and silk rope are ok.

So unless Nik has any objections, Average+1 for HP.

For Ophelia - Alchemist fire and Thunderstones: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 are available.

Yes, manacles will be a good idea. Let me know how many you take and add them to your sheet. This equipment is free/on "loan".

Nik won't really need much other than some free time eventually to make some scrolls, but that can wait until we don't have pressing matters.

Also, what would it take to attach that Adamantine Arrow head I have to a crossbow bolt?

A boyer/fletcher could attach the arrowhead. Mechanics wise a craft check and some time.... give it a day and the guard can arrange to have it done.

Good catch Ophelia. I had forgotten about that pouch. Also, thanks for the loot update. Trisane also claimed the crystalline vial of silversheen. The rest is good to sell unless Nik or Ophelia want something. Can add the 100g Cheliax ingot to the group sell pile as well.

GM - What's in the pouch? Should have time to peek inside. I also forgot to add a set of manacles to my post. I'll put it on my gear list.

The pouch from Amin holds 5 Crowns (platinum pieces).

You can all add manacles and equipment.

Might have missed it, I did a Knowledge local roll a couple posts up to see if Ophelia knew the destination and an apothecary between them.

Knowledge (local) untrained: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

@ Ophelia Sorry - I have not had a chance to pull up the city info and look yet - I will use your roll once I figure out where you are actually going, and what lies in between ..... like the apothecary, and roving mobs, looters, rampaging sewer monsters, escaped devils...

Hey Ophelia and Trisane, I wanted to try to get more of a complete list of the treasure we are working with and set up a shareable spreadsheet of it. The problem is, I am not sure what we are currently working with other than the Harrow Deck. Would you guys be able to share what it is you have listed as being currently a group item? Once we get it I will set up the sheet to share and give Grenfax the link to post somewhere for us (assuming he's cool with that). Thanks.
