Cursing without end under his breath, Rurik climbs to his feet and stumbles to the edge of the fort where he gazes down upon the undead figures.
"Damn this place to the Abyss!"
Taking a deep breath, he summons a Hound Archon, calling it into being with a shimmer of golden light filled with diamond motes, and has it manifest before the wights, where it immediately lets out a bark of outrage at the sight of the dwarven undead and swings its greatsword.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Damage: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (5, 2) + 5 = 12
It's aura of menace washes out over the wights, bathing them with a supernatural fear of his presence. DC 16 Will in 20 foot radius of yellow square or at -2 to all attack, saves, and AC till they hit him.
Rurik himself clicks his Boots of Speed, and quickly draws and fires his arrows at the approaching wights.

"Once again into the fray.", says Agyen with all of the enthusiasm of someone announcing dinner. Once again, he draws magics to shroud himself in holy fear and moves to where he can see more clearly. More clearly than staring at a wall at least. Nothing new
”Sooo..” Cornu opens red eyes. ”When Ulave, a paladin, stubbornly sworn to eradicate all undead from the wastes, tells us to run because he's afraid of more undead hordes...well.” Ammonis casts six mirror images upon his body. He stares out across the fields looking for a real threat. Nothing new.

The Thane awakens with a roar, casting a glance at the marching dwarven corpses. "Oh, ye wretch!", he quickly lifts his hammer, dashing to stand to the side of his warriors. "I'll put ye back where ye belong!"

But despite the monotone voice, a spark has flared in the samsaran's eyes, and as his finger briefly touches Ulave's bow, some of Agyen's strange magic passes into it. He then glances at the battle, spear still in hand.

Uncorking his potion, he pours the foul liquid down his throat, hoping that the seller had told him true. Almost immediately, he feels strange, sinewy, and strong, like he had been when he was a younger man, before his life had changed forever. He felt, in short, like a bull.
Agyen comes up to him, a flat expression on his face. Bring ruin to the enemy. Agyen says and touches Ulave's bow, which now gleams with a holy light.Thank you brother. I will.
Suddenly, the world slows down. Has Ammonis hasted me? Now Ulave dashes down the hill to join the dwarves, strong as a bull, fleet as a deer, and filled with renewed purpose.
Stand together, and we will not fail!

Rurik sends a silent command to the Hound Archon to teleport, and the celestial being appears deep within the zombie ranks, providing flanking benefits to several of the dwarves even as it hacks at their foes.

I adjusted the hound’s position as he was in an occupied space.

"Tae my side, Stonehearts! Tip o' the spaer!", the Thane continues bolstering his men, as he steps forward, spinning in a flurry. The urgrosh's vicious blade sends limbs and heads flying with every blow, as he presses ever forwards. "Protect Glomi, an' give oor allies place tae charge!", he barks in Dwarven as his axe-blade sinks into a second zombie.

Ulave reaches the line of dwarves, dead and undead alike, and quickly considers his options. Newly buffed, he is confident that he can bring at least one or two of the enemy down, but there are too many. Suddenly, on inspiration he takes out the coin he had found, and swallows it. A moment later, Ulave's form splinters into a thousand shards of light and is, briefly replaced by the form of his Goddess standing victorious over the grotesque form of the vanquished undead King Heliogu.

Ammonis yawns, trying to get that sleepy feeling back. Why'd I even get up? Come Fey, curl up in my hat...wait I don't have a hat. I'm a sorry fat wizard, am I not? Out in the wastes without my hat?

"Are there any more graves? And has anyone seen who raised the zombies?"

The Thane shields his eyes as Ulave radiates light, then opens them to see the undead lain to rest. A tired smile spreads on his face, and a single tear scarpers to his beard. "O, wee wun.", he turns towards the halfling, placing a wide palm on his shoulder. "I'm nae poet, but ye're all bound tae be sent here by somethin' else than yer choice. An' whatever tha, I'll be thankin' it fer a fortnight!" Leaning on his urgrosh, he sighs as the dwarves begin burrowing the dead once more. "Thank ye fer bringin' ma ancesters tae rest."

"I don't know your funeral rites but would funeral pyres be a possibility? They might rest more easily, if that's not possible however I understand." Iyon starts doings some maintenance on his weapons and gear, accepting any tracks are likely beyond his skill to uncover after the torrent of undead they've fought off.

Iyon assists Fenris and the dwarves in returning the gravesite to order. This late at night, after the many battles and the rush of adrenaline, it is exhausting work.
And yet, it is not the end of this ordeal, whose end it seems shall never come.
Approximately one hour before dawn, mists rise from the ground in the predawn darkness cloaking the Desolation in an ethereal blanket. You nervously watch the mists for any disturbances that would indicate something creeping along beneath its cover.

The archon’s mighty aura bolsters its allies, protecting them manipulative mind magic, while eroding the vampire spawns’ defenses. Its blade connects forcefully with the vampire spawn, though the creature’s preternaturally hard flesh insultes the full force of the blow (subject to DR).

The vampires begin to heal at an accelerated rate (fast healing). The vampire burned by Ammonis and its companion (pink and purple) assume their foggy, gaseous form and float away over the grease and down the hill, out of sight. The other vampires twist around, trying to avoid being flanked. Sensing the magical protections afforded by the archon, they turn their sight to those dwarves beyond its reach...

The Thane steps forward, the urgrosh swinging crazily, but it's clear the malady clouding the dwarven minds is getting to him. "Seize this this instance, ye knobs! Tha bloadsucker are messin' wif yer haeds!", he can't help but shout as dwarf turns against dwarf. "I'll bash ye 'till oats come oot yer ears!", he roars at the vampire spawn, as the urgrosh burrows in the creature's flesh.
I hate to be that guy, so I'll unconditionally defer to the GM's judgement here. But dwarves have a +2 versus spell-like abilities (not versus supernatural, though), and attacking a former ally would grant you a new roll at a +2 versus domination, since it's against your nature. But see the first sentence!

I'm not sure what the fear effect is. Is it the vampire domination? In any case, anone witin 10' of Ulave gets a +4 morale bonus against fear effects (Aura of Courage), and Ulave is immune.

One of the hulking guardians crashes into the extradimensional pit, another manages to scramble onto firm ground, while the stockier figure calmly steps aside.
The quest to become a lich is a lengthy one. While construction of the magical phylactery to contain the spellcaster’s soul is a critical component, a prospective lich must also learn the secrets of transferring his soul into the receptacle and of preparing his body for the transformation into undeath, neither of which are simple tasks. Further complicating the ritual is the fact that no two bodies or souls are exactly alike—a ritual that works for one spellcaster might simply kill another or drive him insane.
Unless the lich's phylactery is located and destroyed, he cannot truly be undone, and will reform in a matter of days. The lich enjoys DR X/--, 15/bludgeoning and magic, is immune to cold and electricity, and has general undead traits. Its mere touch can cause permanent paralysis.

The vampires begin to heal at an accelerated rate (fast healing). Theyexult in the arrival of this newcomer, scrambling back down the hill and toward the mysterious figure, although one heads to the southern tip of the camp. full withdrawal actions, avoiding AoO.
