Still tired, Darathys leaves the questioning part to his companions. Once they're ready to move on, he simply grabs his greatsword and follows them. He appears to be thoughtful and distracted as he leaves the Horned Helm Tavern.

Darathys is a little surprised when he realizes Kayanor has just spoken to him. He grunts and shakes his head: "My blood got the best of me. I didn't want to kill the man pretending to be Hjort. I didn't want to kill anyone. But sometimes I feel like I can't control myself as much as I would like. Plus, this icy land makes me nervous...If I was a dragon, I would have melted these lands down a long time ago. Seems like the ice freezes people's brains too..."

The thug’s directions lead straight south across the market to a blank, wooden structure straddling the line between the market and a secured residential district. All seems quiet, though a small group of guards are speaking (in Skald) to one another quietly out front.

Behind the group of guards, the front door to the armory is made of a heavy, thick wood and is bound by iron. At several points across the door, visible cracks and splintered wood can be seen. The battered door stands slightly ajar, opening inward to darkness.

Her halberd isn't easily sheathed, exactly (though she does have straps to lash it to her back if necessary), but she stands with the donkey, in order to keep the obvious weapon a little more hidden and lets those with sweet tongues do the talking.

GM Metagaming thoughts only for those interested:
This was a poorly constructed part of the scenario, I think, because the guards start off as hostile, which is a touch DC to beat. It doesn't matter from the scenario whether they cooperate or get killed, but it seems like it was setup to fail if you ask me. Maybe if each of the characters had chimed in to assist rather than leave it to Titus, that might have worked, but it would require a fairly charismatic group...
Anyway, as GM I applaud your approach, but we will stick with the scenario as written for PFS purposes.

Im really loving the dynamic having a dangerous predator best friend has when you take into account how the animal handling rules and their low intelligence scores would work. He's not an automaton, and I'm really constrained by the limits of his tricks. I'll likely have to tell Droogami to heel next round unless I can make the handle animal roll to use nonlethal damage or grapple, which I'll do in the interests of our reputation.

Kayanor's arrow skitters off a nearby wall, and Darathys's javelin clangs off of one of the guards heavy wooden shields.

The guards all draw axes off their belts, and approach.

The yellow guard moves to attack Thessaly, but she was ready for it, and smacks him in the side of the head with the pole of her halberd, trying to knock some sense into him. He doesn't go down, but it clearly is a solid hit. He shakes his head to clear the spinning stars, and swings with his axe.

Seeing Darathys, still covered in blood from the tavern fight, both the red and green guards come at him, each scoring a solid hit.

Unfortunately, in an attempt to minimize the damage, the blow was simply not strong enough to penetrate the man's armor.

Green stands up (provoking AoO from both Thessaly and Droogami), and swings at the cat.
