Introduction to part two
_________________________________________
Hello Newcomers.
Due to loss of players from starting six down to zero this Adventure will take an unexpected turn. I always wondered why the town needs heroes to solve their problems as there are a lot of competent people in Ravengro who could solve that themselves.
The Adventure starts with the death of Professor Lorrimor and a few selected friends coming to Ravengro for his funeral. The first conflict is when some farmers led by Gibs Hephenus oppose then on the way to bring the coffin to the grave.
After the burial the will is read which reveals that the Professor was after some mysterious cult that worked at the Harrowstone. And it looks like it was murder that lead to the Professor's death. His friends start an investigation and find that the Harrowstone is indeed haunted. But also undead start appearing in Ravengro at night attacking it's citizens. Also the Memorial - built for the remembrance of Warden Hawkran and all other good people that died in the fire that turned the Harrowstone into a ruin - got smeared with blood with the letter V at night.
From the town are involved so far:
The Sheriff who suspects the strangers to be behind some of this. Father Grimburrow who is opposed to going to the Harrowstone but trusts the strangers as they helped dispatch of the undead.
At the burial of the Professor were only a few people from town:
Councilman Vashian Hearthmount, Councilman Gharen Muricar, tavernkeeper Zokar Elkarid and his 13-year old son Pevrin, and Jominda Fallenbridge (to give you an idea who was friends of the Professor or at least was polite enough to pay their last respect).
Every NPC that already appeared would have to keep the same avatar.
The characters in town that could take part in this endeavour are:

Sheriff Benjan Caeller |

Sheriff Benjan Caeller - NG middle-aged male human ranger 2
Ravengro itself has never been a crime-ridden town (despite—or perhaps because of—the presence of Harrowstone), and its relatively small jail has always been more than enough to handle the town’s criminals (mostly public drunkards, vandals, or other minor thugs who rarely spend more than a few days in a cell). Indeed, the cells are typically empty, which is fine with the town’s sheriff, Benjan Caeller. Yet despite the town’s dearth of criminal activity, the sheriff likes to keep a tight lid on things by employing four part-time deputies.

Kendra Lorrimor __ |

Kendra Lorrimor - Female human diviner 2
(Only available if someone can persuade me to be able to play her in character)
Although he was getting on in years, Petros’s death was rather sudden and his daughter Kendra, a 25- year-old woman who has lived in Ravengro for nearly 15 years (having moved here with her family as a child from Lepidstadt after her father retired from teaching)
Has complete stats in the AP

Jominda Fallenbridge __ |

Jominda Fallenbridge - N female human alchemist 2
(not available for play)
Jominda’s Apothecary - Jominda Fallenbridge (N female human alchemist 2) keeps a well-stocked supply of pharmacological provisions, both herbal and alchemical. Here the PCs can find all of the special substances and items listed in Table 6–9 of the Core Rulebook as well as most common material components for spells and a good selection of magic potions. Rumors that Jominda crafts and sells dangerous alchemical items like poisons or drugs stem primarily from the fact that Sheriff Caeller is often seen speaking to her or patrolling near her shop.

Jorfa |

Jorfa - LN middle-aged female dwarf fighter 2/expert 3
Ravengro Forge - Jorfa is one of Ravengro’s most jealously guarded assets, for her skill at the forge is out of keeping with what one would expect to find in such a small town. Jorfa arrived only a month after Harrowstone was finished, and has lived in Ravengro ever since. Now approaching old age, she’s taken on a few promising apprentices but remains tight-lipped about her life before Ravengro.
Jorfa isn’t the oldest person in town, but she’s certainly lived in Ravengro longer than anyone else.

You couldn't have noticed that five minutes earlier? :P
Alendru Ghoroven (N old male human expert 1/wizard 5)
The Unfurling Scroll - When their parents can afford to spare them from the farms, a few “lucky” children are sent to study under Alendru Ghoroven, a retired wizard-turned-teacher. Alendru teaches reading, history, and math, as well as beginning magical theory. He seeks to elevate “the commoners,” though few of his pupils enjoy the strictness of his classes.

You've got experience with the Pathfinder Rules?
What is special about this game is that you're bound to the role of the character you choose. A sheriff's deputy is a level 1 warrior. That is quite a bit underpowered. You'd get a second level soon, but it would still be warrior (an NPC class).
If you choose Jorfa you'd still get some NPC classes (expert) but you also have 2 levels of a PC class and you start at level 5. But that would mean you will get no more level ups during the game)
Whatever you choose you have to create the stats for your character and create an alias. In case of Jorfa one that uses the same avatar. Also Jorfa is a smith, which means she has to have 5 ranks in craft weapons and craft armour and maybe a skill focus on one of them.
We're playing heroic NPCs so we're talking 15 point buy here.

Yes, I do have experience with the game rules; I play it casually every now and again. However my knowledge does have a few holes here and there. Jorfa is definately my character of choice; I just listed the deputies as another alternative.
By creating a character do you mean creating one on this site? And then I send you a link so that you can approve of it, right?

Foxy Quickpaw |

Yes. You need the alias with a matching name and avatar. When you click on the name you see that character and there is a profile tab. There you add either the information about your character, or like Jarryd does create a PDF with PCGen and write a link to that in the alias profile.

Harrold Bathshforth |

So Jens
What I suggest is creating one on a programme like PCGEN, printing it to pdf, and then adding that to a drive
Then in your profile you can create an alias, you set that alias's name to the character you want to make, and can use the forum markups to set the drive share link as a clickable URL so we can view that

@foxy I have an RP reason why Jorfa knows how to make fire-forged steel. As the first and (presumably for a long time) only blacksmith to the town she had to create her own tools and equipment. However any tools she makes out of ordinary steel break too quickly, because they struggle to withstand the heat. After experimenting and some luck she figured out how to create steel that channels heat away from it, and thus is a lot more suitable for working at the forge. This is fire-forged steel. And of course because she's the blacksmith she decided to make her own armour and weapons with the best she can produce, thus all of it is masterwork and made from fire-forged steel.
