Kendra Lorrimor __ |
Kendra is one of the characters where you don't get much choices as she is already statted out in the AP.
What you can do is add more spells, as she has access to her father's spellbook (which contains whatever you like). And she too has access to some money as she inherited the house and the money of the father.
Just look Kendra's profile here to see the details.

Some of the History given for Jorfa. Might lead to you to rethink your post:
Jorfa never speaks to
her neighbors about her past—she’s lived in Ravengro for
so long that locals see her as more of an institution than
a neighbor. In truth, Jorfa had a promising career in the
Five Kings Mountains as a soldier, but on one patrol she
panicked and abandoned her platoon during an attack
on an enclave of duergars. She didn’t stop running until
she reached western Ustalav, where she heard a call for
skilled crafters to aid in the foundation of a new town—
Ravengro. Jorfa arrived only a month after Harrowstone
was finished, and has lived in Ravengro ever since. Now
approaching old age, she’s taken on a few promising
apprentices but remains tight-lipped about her life
before she f led her kin—she still worries that she’s being
hunted for deserting her platoon.

Oh I see. I didn't know that portion about her backstory and that she was so secretive about her past. But I guess it makes sense. So I guess she's also not the talkative type in general. So she wouldn't make such a comment about a person out of her own.
Is it possible for you to delete that post? I just want to redo it entirely.

You're the one who can delete your posts. But only within the first hour. So it's to late now.
I thought more along the lines of 'Can understand that someone doesn't want to confront what he fears' but that could also be hidden behind mockery about other's fears. You make of it what you want. Sorry I gave you the info so late.

I guess you have to get used to the "I'm a villager and I'm in no way happy and excited about this stuff." vs. the "I'm the hero who will save you all."
Maybe that's not true for all. Jominda was kind of ignorant of the danger and overexcited even as NPC. Jominda I gave a backstory where she is the self made apothecary (through lucky circumstances) which gives her the 'Yes I can!' attitude. In the other CC game she even went with the heroes to the Harrowstone once. Only to get so scared that she wouldn't go again. But you need to think your character from the perspective of their life. And in case of Jorfa these are a lot of years.
Same for the Sheriff. He gets paid to keep order in a small town in the middle of nowhere. The most violent thing he gets to see is a bar brawl now and then. And he doesn't really like people (favoured enemy human). Now there is some real threat. It's the last thing that would come to his mind to throw himself voluntarily between the people and the threat. It's not to say he doesn't love his job. But fighting undead - especially out of town - is not part of his job.
Father Grimburrow has not always been here, as Prof. Lorrimor knew his predecessor. And back then the church in Ravengro knew how to handle all kinds of undead. Father Grimburrow only did the Sunday services and some healing if needed and the burial rites. Taking care that the Restlands look nice and neat. He's completely unaware of what they knew back then.
Kendra was the only child of Prof. Lorrimor. Nothing is said about her mother, but I would guess she died either at birth or in her early years from some disease or accident. And her father was a wizard who studied a lot, taught at the university and did a lot of field research about undead and sinister cults. She became a wizard (diviner) herself in the footsteps of her father.

Actually holy water is the product of a spell.
BLESS WATER
School transmutation [good]; Level cleric 1, paladin 1
Casting Time 1 minute
Components V, S, M (5 pounds of powdered silver worth 25 gp)
Range touch
Target flask of water touched
Duration instantaneous
Saving Throw Will negates (object); Spell Resistance yes (object)
This transmutation imbues a flask (1 pint) of water with positive energy, turning it into holy water.
So it is not limited by anything besides your spell slots and the component cost.

Fighting for being right may end up with you being right.
But thorough investigation shows that Bless Water is not on the adept spell list. So being right might not lead to what you wanted to achieve :P. But a I told you, creating holy water can be a hobby of Father Grimburrow who has 100 bottles sorted by vintage in the cellar of the temple.

You're the expert on undead. You know there are mindless ones like skeletons and zombies and intelligent ones that are in unlife more or less like in their former life. But in general they end up evil.
The thing more interesting in my opinion is: You could try detect evil on her. You'd come up with a blank. Or you could try detect good and her aura would surpass all of yours by far. Which is not too hard as none of you is good at all :D

I have a great idea. A bit late as I already destroyed the slamming door haunt. But we could make a haunted house of the prison. We just have to find out which areas are only spooky and which are really dangerous. Then we block the entrances to the dangerous areas and set up a toll booth at the entrance. What do you say?

She did mention she'd be away for a bit, but I hadn't expected this long.

Hi guys
I'm terribly sorry that I've been so quiet over the past few weeks. A lot of stuff has been happening; work has been hectic and I've been away for two weekends on end.
To be honest though, I don't think play by posts are for me. It just doesn't grip me, and so something else keeps on taking priority. I kinda want out because I feel bad that I'm posting so infrequently while the rest of you are so dedicated.
