"Oncssse more!", Sritaro calls out, pointing to the last skeleton to Kamu as he moves to attack it as well.
Kamu bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Damage on hit: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Sansetsukon Power attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Damage on hit: 1d10 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 3 = 8

Presuming that between Sritaro's twirling weapon and Kamu's gnashing teeth, the last skeleton is reduced to bone fragments, Valya will walk over to the body in the corner, and say a brief benediction committing the body to the heavens.
I'm not sure of this person's beliefs, but what say you all to cremating them?

GM Farmagnuðr |

You finish off the skeletons easily, but you have some problems starting a fire in this damp environment here.
Among the fallen bodies, you find a note written by the dhampir that details plans to start an army of undead made from the “fish people” who have been frequenting this cave. Additionaly you find a +1 longsword and an elixir of swimming beneath the rubble.
If you want to search the room further give me a perception check please.

![]() |

Ah I won't start the fire without everyone agreeing!
perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (12) + 0 = 12
Valya has a brief look around before remembering she should be noting all these things down. She makes a quick copy of the dhampir's notes, frowning at his plan all the while, and adds a couple of notes on what has happened over the last few hours to bring her journal up to the present.

![]() |

Sritaro checks around the sides of the cave, looking for anything else unusual among the number of bodies and its walls.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

![]() |

"Valya, a fire would generate smoke that can't be vented from this place. I certainly would not want to suffocate. If you want to persist in your actions then wait until I have left the caves. After that you can do what you want." Faeranduil says with a shrug while looking around the cave.
Perception, aid Sritato: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

![]() |

Now Faeranduil, that's an excellent point! It was only a suggestion, and only because we cannot determine his post-mortem wishes. Never mind, if Sritaro's thorough search does not turn anything else up then let us move on!

![]() |

Rani's brow wrinkles in frustration as he looks around the room. "I am less concerned with this vile necromancer's last wishes, and more with these unwilling gillmen he killed for their bleached bones. Perhaps we should take their bones back to Uori and ask him how they should be disposed?"
Peception check to assist Sritaro: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

GM Farmagnuðr |

You find a concealed passage in the northern wall, feeling the faint draft going there. It seems to be a longer tunnel, leading somewhere unknown, but obviously it must have some connection to the outside of the cave. What do you do? Head back and try the other way or go through the tunnel? Will you bring along the gillmen bones?

![]() |

Well I say let's move on, we can always return to Uori later, but we have a cave system to map!
Valya will begin heading towards the tunnel.

![]() |

"I am right behind you Valya"
Faeranduil will not take the bones with him

GM Farmagnuðr |

As you travel down this passage, you begin to hear the faint sounds of combat and a familiar woman’s voice halfshouting and half-reciting, “As the legendary Gregaro Voth successfully battled the wild beasts in the deepest reaches of the Mwangi Expanse, so shall I defeat you, foul servant of Lamashtu!” It sounds a lot like Janira Gavix.
The route to the surface leads through a maze of tight passages that include steep ascents and short climbs as they wind from west to east. As you travel, you can hear the sounds of a distant battle echoing through
the caves, intermixed with inspirational tales of famous Pathfinders and the heroic deeds—the raging fight between Janira and the minotaur like it sounds. Janira’s words are sufficiently audible to let you feel encouraged by them.
The tight tunnels here range from 2 to 5 feet in width and average about 9 feet in height. The slick floors and steady incline from west to east increase the difficulty of all acrobatic maneuvers.

![]() |

Saranrae smiles upon us this day, Janira is nearby! We must hurry as it sounds like she is still trailing the minotaur!
Valya keeps moving forward, at a quicker pace now, following the sound of Janira's voice.

![]() |

"Oncesss again we are in agreement, Valya.", Sritaro pushing Kamu to move faster as he hastens his own speed.

![]() |

"Careful, we do not want to be ambushed in turn by creatures that dwell in these tunnels"
Faeranduil follows the others, but does not rush. He tries to keep someone else between him and the tunnels branching of to the side.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

GM Farmagnuðr |

The light of the surface world above provides a welcome reprieve from the blue and green fungus of the caverns below, and light illuminates a stream whose water is hastened by runoff from a recent storm further up the mountains. A ledge to the west rises up to the nearby forest canopy.
The full moon above casts provides dim light over the entire area, bright enough to illuminate even the shaded leaf litter beneath the trees. Dim Light untill you care to provide something better. The dark green spots on the map are supposed to be trees and there is undergrowth, making that area difficult terrain. If you´re in one square with a tree, you also get partial concealment.
Nearly 100 feet from the cave’s entrance, Janira Gavix is locked in combat with her relentless minotaur foe in a clearing on the southern bank of the stream. Janira shouts: You vile beast! I know not what drives your black heart, but I shall not fail in my duty. I shall see you driven from this forest, back to the hills from whence you came!
You still profit from inspire courage from Janira.

Having immediately discarded the idea of switching to a ranged weapon as taking too long, Valya runs as fast as she can towards the combat,
Double move as can't run in difficult terrain :(

![]() |

Sritaro immediately moves up, pulling a chakram out with one hand, preparing to aim it at the minotaur and telling Kamu to charge forward.

Rani moves along the path overlooking the battlefield. He trains his crossbow Deicide on the minotaur and squeezes off a shot.

Faeranduil is still carrying his lantern, so in a radius of 60 ft around him there is normal light.
"People, remember that Janira said she would deal with that foul creature. We should listen to her commands and continue mapping the cave system!"
Faeranduil waits to see what the others do, knowing that he is dependant on the protection of the more martial folks if it would come to fighting in the cave system.

Janira looks wounded and exhausted. If you want to know more, give me a heal check. I´ll forget about that perception check over the distance^^
Rani´s bolt hits, but the Minotaur doesn´t really seem to care. It could have been a mosquito byte to him as it looks.
Janira manages to disarm the minotaur and then step away a bit towards the river.
The Minotaur picks up his battered axe and is fully focused on Janira. You can see the murder in his eyes even over the distance. She might be drawing her last breaths as he steps up to her.

Seeing Janira nearly defeated, the nagaji gives a bestial roar and makes a mightly leap over the river to engage the minotaur with his nodaichi.

Note, Sritaro went first for AoO purposes.

Rani lets out a mild curse in his own language as the dinosaur steps between him and the minotaur. "Sritaro," he calls out in Common, "Get Kamu out of the way. I can't get a clear shot!" The Garundi man moves along high the path, trying to get a better angle and reloads his crossbow.
Move action and reload action.
Post incorrect. Correct post below.

![]() |

@Rani: Your initiative is actually higher than Sritaro/Kamu, so this attack will be good.

![]() |

@Sritaro: You're right. People updating maps out of initiative orders is good for momentum but also tricky to follow.
Quickly drawing another bolt from one of the cases slung around him, Rani reloads the heavy crossbow and manages a crack shot against the minotaur!
Rani reloads Deicide and squeezes off another shot. hvy crossbow attack + Inspire Courage: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22 for 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 points of damage; roll to see if crit confirms: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9; nope.

![]() |

Whoops... forgot about the Inspire Courage. Sritaro damage for the crit is 28 and, if Kamu hits with the extra +1, Kamu deals 8 damage

![]() |

Valya puts her head down and sprints as fast as she can to get to the minotaur. She takes her time wading the river rather than risk missing a jump, and is still not involved in the melee yet. Frustration mars her normally joyous face.
Must...improve...speed...gah!

Faeranduil moves forward, straining under the weight of his backpack. Meanwhile he is grumbling as if there was a price to be won:
"It's clear they did not pay attention at ranged combat 101, try to keep a lane of fire open for spellcasters and archers they said. But why would you listen if you have a brain the size of a pea and a big sword? Idiots."
He then mumbles something and a white ray materializes between his hands and shoots toward the minotaur. Although the minotaur is way bigger then his companions Faeranduil manages to shoot over its head.
Ranged Touch, Inspire Courage, Melee and Cover: 1d20 + 3 + 1 - 8 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 1 - 8 = 1

Sritaro and Kamu both jump over the small river with ease. Then just after a bolt from Rani´s crossbow hit it heavily in the chest, Sritaro´s nodachi connects with it´s unprotected neck and slices an artery. Gargling the minotaur falls down to his knees and then on the floor, trying to stop the blood in vain. It´s clear he will blees to death if not helped.
In the back, you hear Faeranduil mutter something about tactics and wizardry, but it´s overlaid with the triumphant and relieved shouts of joy from Janira.
Ah you came just in time! I think i couldn´t hold back that foul beast any longer. Already saw it axe me in half and roast me on a spit. Not a pleasant thought! Your skill at arms is impressive! Once my pupils, now my saviors. A good education and tutors are really worth something it seems after all! I´m so glad it´s dead. Perhaps make sure of it. No i don´t want to touch it. Felt that stinky breath on my face long enough. She goes on like that for hours, thanking and praising you.
Then she asks you if you could map the cave and what you found.
You could go back and scout the whole cave, but there is no need to. Let me know if you want, else i´ll conclude the scenario. There is some nice roleplay left. And yes that damage was awesome!

![]() |

Rani is clearly still shaken by the presence of the minotaur. He reloads his crossbow and remains on the upper path, gazing intently into the forest in case anything else murderous emerges.

![]() |

Well I am glad the evil foe was vanquished, even if I didn't get to assist, and am doubly glad no-one was severely injured!
She turns to Sritaro
It has been an honour fighting by your and Kamu;s side she smiles.
Happy to conclude the scenario too. I'm a newbie when it comes to PFS so what happens now? Are there virtual records for our kind GM to fill in?

![]() |

"I jussst performed my job.", answering the halfling's constant thanks.
If no one else disapproves, with a mighty chop, Sritaro will sever the head of the minotaur, draining the blood before covering it with canvas and tying it to his bag for a future trophy.
Upon the paladin's gratuity, Sritaro replies back, "Likewissse, Valya. It's good to not to have to worry about defending everyone."
"We found a gillman, praying. A shrine... to the hum-god Aroden."

GM Farmagnuðr |

The minotaur bleeds to death before your eyes, but you surely don´t mind the death of an evil creature like that. Janira doesn´t and makes sure of it.
As you are done there, Janira leads you back to safety and civilization in Absalom. There you meet master Shane, who is curious about what you learned. He asks if anyone took notes and states that you are now the authorities on that cave and what it contains, so you might have the honor to name it.
