Alwyn:
Last round you wanted to: "standard action ghost sound (DC15) range 45' 1/8 rounds normal volume mimicing the bards voice

move action start bardic performance(vocal) 5/23 rounds +2 attack/damage/save vs fear also move 2 right 1 down against large crate".

That's one standard action and two move actions. You can't do all of that in one round sorry. So you will move this round (unless you tell me otherwise).

Next we need to discuss, can you stealth while using inspire courage or spell casting without silent spell? I don't believe you can, particularly when the stealth skill says: Being Observed: If people are observing you using any of their senses (but typically sight), you can't use Stealth. The idea of being able to stealth while speaking with a firm voice to cast a spell breaks verisimilitude for me so much that I'm going to disallow it.

Of course neither of those actions break invisibility, so the perception check is DC20 not 1d20+34 or higher.

Do you still wish to move? They may see you and take an AOO, however you still have total concealment so they need to hit and roll 50 or above on a d100 roll.

Finally there is the question of can you flank while invisible? Apparently yes you can as long as you are threatening (although I find that very weird). You specifically mentioned drawing your sword, so yes you are threatening, and yes you can flank - assuming you still want to move.

GM:

Point 1 moving and starting Bardic Performance - goes to you.

I went back and re-read the passage and it says at lvl 7, I can start a performance as a move action, not as part of a move action. Was thinking I could start it similar to drawing a sword while moving once you are BAB +1.

Point 2 - moving while invisible with a bardic performance going using stealth.

My thinking here goes back to the use of ghost sound, at this point I can use ghost sound to project 24 voices worth of volume, and I wanted that voice filling the room mimicing my voice.

Without ghost sound, I agree that speaking in my normal voice while moving and invisible using stealth would be broken; because there is only one point my voice is coming from. Yet with ghost sound my voice coming from 25 different locations masking the true location of my actual voice. Much as mirror image mask a true person visually, I'm using ghost sound to mask my voice, to allow me to move using stealth. With your eyes closed could you pinpoint the one true voice moving if surrounded by that voice on all sides?

Gonna wait to see your reply to point 2, I would like for you to rethink it based on the above use; to me there isn't a difference between that and matching it up with silent image to fool someone.

BTW I agree that flanking while invisible would be a weird bonus for Lilly as neither she or the person being attacked know where I'm at - although that could be bothersome for the one being attacked, not knowing where I will show up. He does know I walked into the room and disappeared. The mention of it was to specify where I was located .

Palace of Birdsong| Shards of Oberon map | War for the crown maps

Alwyn:
I was almost tempted to let you do this because it's a clever combo but, it makes invisibility a bit too powerful. Normally you can pin point an invisible spellcaster by making a DC 20 perception check (a move action). But you're asking for a spammable cantrip to prevent that if they fail a DC 15 will save. That's kind of rough.

How would you feel about this scenario: you're fighting an invisible conjuration specialist wizard spamming high level summons, and he's sitting there patiently buffing them as they come out. And you have to make a DC 34+ perception check to find him... Obviously there are anti invisibility spells, but what if this mage has Spell Immunity: See Invisible, Glitterdust. TPKs are made of such things.

I think I probably shouldn't allow it but I want to give you a chance to respond first.

Incidentally part of what you're trying to do here is disguise spell casting - there is a proper way for bards to do that: Spellsong

Scarab Sages

M Human Bard 8 | HP 56/56 | AC 20 (14t 17ff)| +4 fort +10 ref +6 will | +5 init ,+10 perc, +14 stealth | Fire and Acid resist 10 Resource Tracker

GM:
Wasn't so much trying to disguise the spell casting part, as to disguise my location. While invisible the bards singing is the only way for him to impart a performance, you can't see him so visual will not work.

I wouldn't enjoy the above scenario much; but spell immunity states "Naturally, that immunity doesn't protect a creature from spells for which spell resistance doesn't apply." - Glitterdust shows " Spell Resistance no"; so doesn't that mean he can't use spell immunity to protect himself from glitterdust? so I have 6 chances to get him in 10'radius splashes, I do have a chance. See invisibility doesn't have that caveat and he could hide from that easily

GM wrote:

Lingering performance will let me cast a spell and keep the performance bonus intact, I have made it a part of my song in the past not realizing I couldn't. Using lingering performance would allow me to use one round of performance for 3 rounds, while casting 2 spells on the other two round before picking it back up and swinging my sword or using my bow. Thanks for the idea :-)

I'm not trying to break the system, but trying to learn what I can do with my PC, the synergy of the two things as you said above was to me a clever use of a cantrip at higher levels. Seems that at this point in life he would be learning the odd things he can do with it, not just using the cantrip, for a wolf's howl on a dark night or a whistle from the other side of the room.

I'll abide by whatever you choose to allow or disallow, no worries. May just have to rethink my combat options in this encounter.

Palace of Birdsong| Shards of Oberon map | War for the crown maps

Alwyn:
I think invisibility is too strong if I allow that, so I won't sorry. Don't be down about this however, invisibility is still plenty strong. It meant you where not a target for the initial flank and you got . I think your tactics for the initial part where just fine. So let me lnow if you want to move. You risk an AOO but they have to spot you first then hit and then pass concealment

Alwyn, you are entitled to an AOO.

Lilly hits the worker, puncturing a kidney as he foolishly presents his back. Withdraw wouldn't have helped here, since that only counts for the square he started on.

The worker Mohktar was attacking (purple), steps gingerly towards the loom by the door and yanks on a rope. This causes the loom to collapse spectacularly towards the entrance with bits of wood and yard after yard of silken strands everywhere. It's obvious after the fact that this was a trap.
The blue rectangle represents the debris, which is now difficult terrain.

Lilly: Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Lilly: Reflex Save DC15 or become entangled (haste bonus included): 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 6 + 1 = 10 -> Ooops.

The debris rains down on Lilly, and a large wooden block smacks her in the arm. She finds herself entangled by the mess and unable to move much.

Lilly:
You can make a DC18 strength check or do 15 damage to the debris to either rip or cut yourself free.

Mohktar also aims a well places kick at the worker intoxicated by Hirati's breath. The man staggers after the first impact and lurches unpredictably just out of reach of the second kick.

The character is lying on the ground. A prone attacker has a –4 penalty on melee attack rolls and cannot use a ranged weapon (except for a crossbow). A prone defender gains a +4 bonus to Armor Class against ranged attacks, but takes a –4 penalty to AC against melee attacks.

Standing up is a move-equivalent action that provokes an attack of opportunity.

Apparently no, he's not denied dex.The issue is moot in this instance because:

Shikyo deftly beheads the prone worker.

Alwyn opens the door to see the Spinning and Dyeing Room. Large dye vats and reels of drying silk fill this area. At the north end of the room, a large trough sits on a long charcoal bed. The place reeks with an acrid chemical odor. Here workers boil cocoons (making it easy to unravel their silken filaments), spin multiple filaments into reels of silk thread, and dye the silk bright colors. A fire burns under the trough, boiling the water within. At the far end of the trough near the next set of doors is the worker who fled in here.

Standard: Cast Acid splash and send it acid down at the thug at the end of the room.

You only just managed to do all that thanks to haste, since It takes you 8 squares of movement to get there (you had to move through one square difficult terrain, from the collapsed loom, which is 2x the usual cost).

Pratavh manages to jump over the broken loom and enters the double doors to see the worker to the south entranced by the play of light on Alwyn's sword. Pratavh sends a glob of acid to smack the worker squarely in the head! The worker snaps too and snarls in pain as the acid dissolves some of his skin.

Shiko moves forward and as he does his form shimmers until several Shiko's appear 1d4 ⇒ 1 of them. Shadow Clone

He dances forward to attack the worker that Pratavh hit

Slash: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17 but he probably misses.

If not: 1d8 + 16 ⇒ (2) + 16 = 18

Shikyo please checks where I've moved you, is that where you want to stand?

Fang Dragon: Is there a doorway I can see to the south of the map to view that blacked out area? Mohktar will want to clear it in case more baddies are lying in wait.

Mohktar signals to Pratavh, pointing to his eyes and then downward at his feet where the two men lay unconscious. "Prisoners." He says evenly.

The he points to himself and gestures south. "Searching."

With that he slips southward through the mill, seeking to reveal what's hidden there. Wary of traps he moves carefully.

The he points to himself and then the surround. "Watching."

He remains in position to survey the interior and ensure no one is coming up from behind the party.

No the only doors are the one you came through and the ones leading to the room to the left.

Mohktar:
The looms are fascinating, and you suspect the silk made here might be quite valuable. You hear curses from inside the room to the left.

Waiting on Shikyo's answer to my question.
