Xerxes is hurt, but the protoss doesn't let out a single psychic scream. He withstands the pain and paralysis with remarkable vigor, and counterattacks. However, his aim must be completely impaired, for both blades only meet thin air.

Sh'yl takes down the ghoul harlot!
Out of combat!
Among the piles of revealing clothing inside the tent are a potion of cure moderate wounds in a leather hip flask depicting a crocodile (worth 25 gp), three very sharp oft-used daggers (one of which is masterwork), a chest containing six flasks of alchemist's fire, two barrels of very cheap perfume worth 25 gp each, a wedding dress inlaid with pearls and set with three tiny rubies (worth 400 gp), a corset set with mother-of-pearl inlays worth 20 gp, a dozen silver hatpins set with tiny obsidians worth 5 gp each, and scattered gems worth a total of 300 gp.
Is anybody infected?

Sh'yl M'sshakul |

The same of Sh'yl
May be some of the crew will be interested by all this ? Said Sh'yl seeing the perfume, the dress and the rubies.
No trace of our friends ? He asked Xerxes once his freezing stance stopped.

You head further into the jungle, vaguely following the path and trying to make it to the main structure you say up on the ridge above.
The path eventually reemerges on a beach (C6) and follows along until it comes to a set of fields (C7). A clearing in the jungle contains overgrown fields of some sort of corn. The crops have gone wild, creating a high barrier wafting gently in the breeze.
You also find several bodies with valuables still on them: One body has a potion of water breathing attached by a metal hook to a rotting leather belt with a gold buckle worth 25 gp. A second body has a rusted iron dagger in a scabbard inlaid with pearls worth 75 gp. A third body still grasps a purse containing 45 gp and 3 small obsidians worth 10 gp each in a skeletal hand.

Having found the path, you cautiously head through the abandoned fields but find nothing malicious blocking your path. Eventually you can see a well-built timber stockade surrounding a small ldoge in a jungle clearing. Vines wrap and strangle a great tree that rises next to the lodge, blocking light from above Beside it is a bubbling spring.
As you approach the stockade, however, some of the vines hanging above start to move!

The gate of the stockade is ajar, the walls being made of sharpened wooden stakes 7 feet high. There is a small spring nearby that provides fresh water.
You don't find anyone here but this high position at least gives you a good view of the island. You even notice a weathered spyglass fixed onto the stockade wall.
Among the furnishings of the lodge are a suit of leather armor, six crudely made spears, and a very nice ring. One might say magical, perhaps. In addition you find a silver tankard worth 30 gp and a silver locket worth 45 gp.
And with that you can level up to third!

You can take 10 on it. And you can rest here if you want, although you're still on a time limit. But it has taken you most of the day to get here so night will be coming soon.

Xerxes of Aiur |

Let's rest here for the night, we'll resume the search tomorrow at dawn. Agreed?

Francis Ulhutch, Ex-Professor |

Take 10 on Perception for both spoilers and Take 20 for the ring for a 26.
"Creatures down at the shore look like they have Sandara's hat... Should we investigate now or in the morning?" Francis asks.
When the group wants to rest, he will investigate the ring.

Xerxes of Aiur |

Ready here.
We will investigate at dawn. For now let us rest and recover our strength. I expect we'll need it.

EndlessForms |

You spend the night resting in the makeshift watchtower, safe from any intruders. It takes a few hours in the morning to reach the cove at the tip of the island but eventually you find high cliffs surrounding the cove of dark seawater. The ocean churns below near a small opening that leads into the cliff-face.
This is where you saw the creatures through the scope last night. The water looks fairly deep (Swim checks required) and you can hear splashing below as if the creatures are still down there guarding the entrance. I'll get a map up later.

Francis Ulhutch, Ex-Professor |

Do I know what the ring is?

Xerxes of Aiur |

Shall we try to mount an ambush at these presumed guards? I could try to climb down the cliff just above, and drop straight on them.
