@Ruford: yes, I think I had you added in from last round, just forgot to mention it.
With an onslaught from the party, the spiders collapse and begin leaking ichor on the floor!
Out of combat!
With the creatures defeated, you can properly examine the files on the desk in this hidden chamber. The papers chronicle the personal exploits of Selmius Foster! Most of Foster’s more infamous adventures appear here in varying amounts of detail, but it is evident there is another investigation he had been pursuing before he died: the lost records of a Society agent named Eylysia.
Two notes in particular catch your eye:

EndlessForms |

I believe Selmius Foster was referenced back at the beginning as being one of the original Pathfinders and the proprietor of the Wounded Wisp. But maybe your group didn't make that knowledge check; hard to keep the three groups straight.
The other names are not supposed to be familiar. But you now have three distinct leads to follow up on. Just let me know where you want to start.

"I don't think the Venture-Captain is going to be very happy that we didn't bring back his bottle of wine, so we'd better have a good story to go with it. That mausoleum sounds like a good place to start, yes?"

![]() |

"Sure. Hopefully it's kept tidy and won't need any old-fashioned cleaning out." Ruford says as he polishes the blade on his horsechopper, wiping away some stubborn spider goo.

EndlessForms |

1d4 ⇒ 3
Details left by Selmius Foster indicate the location of Arkath’s burial site: a plot of land in Eastgate operated by the church of Abadar. A fence surrounds the necropolis grounds, and although members of the faith and city guards routinely patrol the property, it is still legal to enter the grounds to respect the departed.
While the gates into the necropolis are left open to those paying their respects, the doors of the mausoleums are sealed with sturdy stone slabs.
Several guards patrol the area and several priests meander about, tending to the necropolis and to visitors' needs.

![]() |

The Varisian looks around at the cemetery, frowning. "First we must find the mausoleum, then enter without being seen, yes? Easier said than done, I fear. Do any of you have skill in such things?"

![]() |

"I could try to scare someone into letting us in. That kind of thing comes naturally for me. But unfortunately I think this place is too busy for it to really stick. We'd be arrested in a second." Ruford admits with a sigh.

EndlessForms |

Or you could just ask nicely:
several priests meander about, tending to the necropolis and to visitors' needs.

EndlessForms |

The young man introduces himself as Kefilwe, a priest of Abadar. "Yes, I believe I can help you there." He speaks in a careful and deliberate voice, weighing each word. "If you seek a certain mausoleum, I can open it for you and allow you to look around or pay your respects, as you would have it. You are Pathfinders, yes?"
Kefilwe nods and starts to lead you toward the mausoleum in question. "Of course, we also appreciate when visitors offer restitution to the church of Abadar for their trespasses, if you are able."
"Here you are," he says after unlocking the mausoleum and showing you inside.
The interior of Arkath’s sarcophagus is empty save for the stonemason’s long-dead skeleton. Inspecting the corpse you discover a small silver coin inside the skeleton’s mouth.
PATHFINDER’S COIN PRICE
1,500 GP
SLOT none CL 3rd WEIGHT — lbs.
Aura faint divination
This apparently simple coin, usually styled to resemble ancient currency, hides intricate gold and platinum wires within. This matrix, carefully modeled after fragmentary Azlanti coins, causes the Pathfinder’s coin to rise an inch into the air and slowly spin in place if placed atop a wayfinder. In addition, when levitating above a wayfinder, the coin can be given a message of 25 words or fewer. This message repeats in the speaker’s voice the next time the coin is floated above a wayfinder. Only one message may be stored at a time, and once it is triggered, the message is expended and a new one may be recorded.

Sorry been really sick he last couple days. I have been keeping track of what is going on though.
Zartrel looks at the small silver coin. Magic you say? He weaves a quick spell that causes the coin to radiate slightly.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
OH! This is an old Pathfinder's coin. It is modeled after an old Azlanti coin but you can record a short message into it. Does anyone have a wayfinder with them? Mine is being built still.
I really should pick it up at the end of this scenario lol
Place it above you wayfinder and the message should speak.Take notes as it will only say it once

Assuming someone has a wayfinder or you go back and borrow Janira's at the Wounded Wisp:
The Pathfinder's coin levitates and rotates above the wayfinder and a gravely voice begins to speak out from it.
The path and chamber are complete, hidden behind the nameplate of the requested aspirant and guarded by the word you requested. Fimbrik will add more.
