Sabas smirks. "Mind enhanced I would say. Stupid brute tried to come at me with a guisarme and take me back to my masters. I wouldn't have any of that and showed him the error in his thinking, that I was actually a friend, you see! And he's served me loyally since!"

Assuming he is beaten pretty basly, tied up, and the club is nowhere around, Ill try a Disple Magic on him, then a Channel Heal.
Dispel Magic: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Channel: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 2, 5) = 12

He looks at the jester, through his vizor of his helm, before speaking
"If Wreck finds out, that not-funny man lied to Wreck and friends, Wreck come visit not-funny man in jail..."

Ignatious dispels magic on the man and he snaps out of his charm, telling you that he is Baran and was sent to capture the Jester.

"Your brother is looking for you, Baran. Go back to him, and tell him we helped free you, so we don't have to fight him again."

Baran will take leave and Sabas is safely in your custody now. Going back to look for the lost necklace? T10 or T20 if you have to and go back to that spoiler you guys missed earlier.

Perception DC 22:You spot an acid-scarred satchel tangled amid the brambles. It holds a scorched grimoire, the journal of Lady Ariesin Bourtze. Her final entry describes the planned summoning of an ancient salamander. It also holds a necklace adorned with intricately worked rose motifs.
Not taking a Nat 1 this time. . .

Yea i cant make that check..
"It appears to be a necklace of adaptation.. However knowing that the three items are cursed or whatever I wouldn't mess with it.."

EndlessForms |

Actually, I just reread under cursed items that if you know it's supposed to be cursed the normal DC (and not the DC + 10) is enough to recognize it for what it is. So Darius determines that it is a necklace of strangulation.
With the urn and other items returned, House Bourtze sends you back to Absalom in triumph, laden with items from the Grand Campaign for the Society’s vaults. The Society leadership is glad to see that the artifacts have been secured and did not fall into the wrong hands and that the party has recovered many other valuable objects for future study!
And that's it! Chronicle sheets are going out!
