Zarina Magda |
Wouldn't Bryz get an AoO for her casting while prone and threatened?
Zarina takes another shot at her.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Argh!
GM Eddv |
Ah yeah, that's a solid point, I adjudicated that before he had pointed out his Orc Ferocity. Go ahead and take your AoO Bryz.
Bryzaglo |
Bryzaglo is unarmed at this point so he does not get an AoO
Ulena Teladra |
No pressure eh?
GM Eddv |
It's a really good thing I rolled so well on the damage for color spray or else we'd have to worry about the swordsmen waking up...as it stands I think we have another like 7 rounds before they are a factor
Zarina Magda |
Zarina stares in disbelief as she continues singing, wondering if there is anything she can do to stop this caster. With limited options, she simply fires another arrow.
1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 5 + 1 = 12 Darn it!
Damage: 1d4 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 + 1 = 1
Sorry guys...
GM Eddv |
Remember Zarina she was already Disabled and she's a caster wearing no armor and without access to mage armor apparently
Zarina's last ditch effort with the bow just barely connects with the Aspis Evoker. The Evoker Falls to the ground and begins bleeding.
presuming Zarina coup de graces the two swordsmen, combat is over! Congrats on the well fought win. She was out of spells and out of force missiles so this was going to be a Ray of Frost vs shortbow duel if she got the potion off.
Zarina Magda |
"Whew!"
Zarina looks around, and finishes off the thugs with their own weapons. Then she searches her companions for a wand of CLW and proceeds to heal each of them.
Bryzaglo |
Once conscious Bryzaglo gathers his own weapons and checks the attackers for anything valuable.
Perception: 20 + 5 = 25
"Thank you Zarina!" Looking around to everyone else. "How about we get out of here."
Not to self always keep a spare dagger
GM Eddv |
Bryzaglo finds a couple potions of cure light wounds on the enemy but otherwise nothing beyond mundane equipment
You collect the documents and your beleaguered friends and Drendle Dreng looks at you with a look of concern as you approach I sent you for a bottle of win, what on earth happened to you
Zarina Magda |
Zarina, now realizing that becoming a bard is not just about telling stories, is still ready to tell a doozy!
"Mr. Dreng, I don't know if you knew what we would find or not, but that bottle of wine contained a rare vintage - a story of loss and intrigue, and a treasure trove of information that the Society scholars are sure to find interesting. You may have sent some fresh recruits, but I tell you know, there are the makings of some exceptional heroes joining your ranks." She is beaming with pride.
"The Wounded Wisp, it seems, is where it all began for the Society, but it also contains untold secrets! In a back room, no longer in use, there sits a bottle of some rare wine, which allows one to open a hidden chamber full of foul creatures (ok, so they were just bats - let's not dwell too much on our performance there) and voices from long ago."
"Selmius Foster, a famous Pathfinder, documented many of his adventures - tales for another day - and also detailed an unfinished investigation he had been pursuing before he died: the lost records of a Society agent named Eylysia. Sure, we should have probably brought this straight to you, but being Pathfinders now, we were eager to investigate. Our leads took us many places throughout this grand city, including the house of a rather interesting illusionist, who left further clues for us to follow. And a magic coin, buried with a Pathfinder so that only a future Pathfinder would find it, contained another piece of the puzzle, and so on until we recovered these lost documents from Eylysia - hidden in a secret chamber within the Shrine of the failed Aspirants."
Zarina barely takes a breath. "It was all ours, to review and recover lost secrets, when we were set upon by some bandits calling themselves the Asspiss Consortium - a rather unfortunate name, if you ask me. They were strong and deadly, but by working together, these great heroes to be," she motions to the party, "were able to escape certain death, and save the documents for the Society. I give you now, Ulena the Brave... Bryzagle the Sly... Dimira the Colorful, without whom we would have all certainly perished... and of course, Rendala the Zany! Her humor lifts other's spirits when they needed a boost, and her jokes... well, some of the material still needs some seasoning, but no less so than the rest of us!"
"Really, I should write a song about this..."
Suddenly she looks up, realizing no one may even still be listening to her.
"Um, well... sorry, but we did fail to retrieve your bottle of wine..."
Rendala |
Hey, my jokes are funny, as long as you have a sense of humor. Rendala replies, while laughing, having enjoyed Zarina's version of the events.
GM Eddv |
Dreng smiles slyly giving no indication of whether he expected something like this or not This was well done pathfinders, well done indeed. I shall see to it that if you haven't already done your confirmation that I highly recommend you and if you have...well I am certain it won't be long before we can find work worthy of aspiring star agents such as yourselves. Pity about that wine though....
Congratulations all, I will have Chronicles for you shortly
