Johnne Sorokin |

"You're beautiful," Johnne tells her in his strained whisper, rubbing at his throat and smiling faintly. Taking his gift from Percy, he fixes Oliveo in his disconcerting stare. "Your plan is a good one. I have little ability, other than to make others feel my pain and fear. Rosina... she can warp their minds, leave them in mental disarray."

Toska |

Nodding along with Johnne Toska speaks up "Yes, you a very beautiful indeed," he happily says, apparently oblivious to the others planning their course of action for dealing with the giants.

GM Choon |

I'll leave you to it then. She takes a small coin from her pocket and flips it into the center of the camp. As soon add it touches the snow it bounced back up to shoulder height and hands there, still spinning.
If you need me, return here and grasp this coin. I will be notified wherever I am and will come as soon as possible.
She bows slightly. Good luck. and disappears.

Asselus Screamingtrees |

She could have had it hover a bit lower, last thing we need is some random thing wandering in here an then going 'Oh shiny mine!' and grasping at it... though i suppose that would be an amusing summons.
He said with a smirk waiting to see how this group decided to proceed.

Oliveo Taragoš |

"OK, well I guess that's it then. Anyone have any spells you need to cast before we go? I have a bit of a ritual I always do, in honor of Shelyn but after that I'm ready to go. If anyone wants a ride on my carpet, just let me know. I figure I'll stay low on the approach to minimize our chance of being seen, and then head into the air if necessary to keep myself (and any passengers) out of reach of melee while I use the power of music to blind those who do evil with shame."
With that, Oliveo takes out his knife and starts to whittle, creating a little wooden dragon. When he's done, he hands it to Toska. "Keep this, with the blessing of the Eternal Rose, Dragonslayer."
Divine obedience to Shelyn; take 10 on Craft (woodworking) for 23

Rosaline, Exalt of Radiance |

Rosaline frowns once the gnome is gone, sharing Asselus thoughts on the coin. Deciding, after a while, that it was indeed mainly the gnome's problem she nodded in agreement with the elf.
"Not sure who would be most surprised, the coin finder or the gnome ..."
With an thoughtful glance at the bard's handywork she finishes arming herself. Is now really the time for toys? she thought, somewhat judgemental. But deep down, she wouldn't really mind a little statue of her own. With an semi-annoyed frown at nothing in particular she pushed that thought away.
"All right. I and Toska will approach on foot, Oliveo by air. Rosina and Johnne - you want to accompany him?" Maybe their moods will cancel eachother out! *snort* "Asselus and Charlotte - you thought about sneaking ahead and sow a little chaos?"

Charlotte Adellan |

Charlotte floats into the air. "I can throw fireballs from a thousand feet. I don't think frost giants can throw rocks quite that far. I'll do some mischief. Should I be carrying anyone? And Asselus, how's your dark vision?"

Asselus Screamingtrees |

I can see in the dark better than any dwarf, Charlotte have no worries, in fact I would honestly say the less time we spend in the light the better, So the plan is to meet over by the animals correct? If Charlotte is flying ahead I can cause quite the ruckus and lead them on a merry little chase, Surely they wont all head my direction you all take out those that remain and I will meet back up with you to ambush the ones that return.
With that, the elf slipped back through the camoflauged snow walls and made his way torwards the giant encampment.
stealth: 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (1) + 31 = 32
Assellus is aware that wolves can smell, and rather well too, so he certainly wouldnt make his approach from a direction that the wind could blow his scent into their presence.

Charlotte Adellan |

"Ah—before you go," Charlotte tries to stop Asselus, "Would you like a permanent field of darkness that will follow you, or would that give away your position?"

Asselus Screamingtrees |

He did pause just at the edge and he shook his head softly back and forth, In the open like this it might be more of a ...tell tale sign, save it, I will keep it mind for later. I'll be fine I have a few tricks up my sleeve if necessary.

Rosina Csiffra |

As if in response, Rosina floats slightly higher above the ground. I will follow you, my love, she says softly, her dresses billowing around her. The words seem to bubble in the air, as if escaping from water-filled lungs. Take the carpet. It looks like fun. A small smile plays at the corners of her mouth, even as another tear rolls down her cheek and evaporates into smoke.

Johnne Sorokin |

"Then I'll join you, if that's alright?" Johnne rasps, looking across at Oliveo. "I have no need to prepare."

Oliveo Taragoš |

Oliveo slaps the carpet beside where he's sitting, just a few feet off the ground. "Hop aboard!"
Once Johnne is on, Oliveo guides the carpet into the air by leaning plus some subtle pressure from his knees. He stays low with his eyes peeled for danger. He quickly loses sight of Asselus but gives him a bit of time to get a head start on his mischief.
When he's confident that Asselus has had the time he needs, Oliveo lets his fingers rest on the buttons of his concertina. He breathes a quick prayer to Shelyn. May each breath that passes my lips bring more of Your beauty into the world--and thwart those who would destroy or taint the beauty around us.
He then starts to play. He starts with a low drone, then rising, adding his voice to the concertina, evoking the sound of thunder crashing and angelic trumpets. Within less than twenty seconds, the air seems to electrify and tremble with the beauty of the melody, and those whose hearts are evil find themselves unable to see nor hear anything but the face of their own evil deeds.

Charlotte Adellan |

Charlotte, casting Invisibility and Tongues, flies behind and around the others, carrying handfuls of snow; once Oliveo's performance starts, she spirals through the air, looking for unblinded giants. When she finds a few targets, she throws snowballs at the ground near their feet, and begins hurling insults in Giant out of the empty air.
Artistry (criticism): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18

Rosaline, Exalt of Radiance |

Once the heavenly music starts to sound, Rosaline quickly advances up to her position. Battle called - and it was time to smite the demon lord's pawns!

GM Choon |

Both Asselus and Charlotte are successful in drawing a small band of giants away, but the majority stay in camp for Oliveo's performance. In all, one giant and two Ogres follow each of them with three frost wolves in tow. So it is that ten frost giants and eight ogres hear Oliveo's song.
19d20 ⇒ (11, 20, 8, 19, 11, 15, 20, 18, 17, 11, 7, 20, 12, 9, 4, 4, 18, 1, 11) = 236
Three giants and one Ogre manage to resist the effect, and their leader happens to be among them, effectively reducing this camp to four giants and an ogre. The camp immediately erupts into chaos as just about everybody starts stumbling about and howling at the top of their lungs! Those ones who were drawn away will probably be back soon!
There's no map on this one. Theater of the mind it. You are all within charge distance as soon as you clear the ten foot wall of hard packed snow.

Oliveo Taragoš |

Round 1
Now that Oliveo's performance is in full swing--and seeing only four of the 18 giants and ogres seem able to see or hear--he continues singing but lets the concertina rest around his neck, instead lifting his longspear high, waiving his glorious banner for all to see.
With his knees he guides the carpet to the center of his companions and weaves a spell of haste into his continuing performance.

Rosaline, Exalt of Radiance |

Round 1
With a war-cry in concert with the heavenly tone Rosaline steps up and fling her short spear towards one of the okay giants. The glowing spear soars through the air, impacting one of the (un)fortunate giants with a splash of blood and light. No sooner then coming to a halt in the frigid flesh, it disappears and reappears in Rosa's holster again. Invigorated by Oliveo's magic she readies and throws again and again!

Johnne Sorokin |

Johnne clings to the edges of the carpet, peering over the side at the battle below. He watches as Rosina charges through the wall of snow, easily dissipating through it, and plunges a fist into one of the giants. "Well done, love," he whispers, smiling.
How high up are we? I just remembered that if Rosina is more than 50 feet from Johnne in her incorporeal form, she's banished to the ethereal plane and stays there for 24 hours. I'd rather that doesn't happen. :P

Rosina Csiffra |

Empowered by the performance, Rosina gives a ghastly wail as she plunges through the snow wall. Her body erupts in a cloud of grey smoke as it hits, reforming an instant later on the other side. She rushes through the air, straight for the first giant, plunging a hand into its chest.
As soon as I get within 10 feet, the giant takes a -2 penalty on all saving throws. I also gain +2 to hit and damage against it.
Slam: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (15) + 28 = 43

Charlotte Adellan |

I thought Charlotte was still off being chased by some giants? I can participate in this fight if it makes sense.

Charlotte Adellan |

Charlotte, still invisible, flies overhead, dropping Haste on the assembled party.

Oliveo Taragoš |

Hmmm, Charlotte, Oliveo also cast Haste on the party this round, a few posts up. For expediency's sake, I'm happy to say that Charlotte cast it instead of Oliveo. In that case, I'll try to Intimidate a nearby giant...preferably the captain (if he's obvious and within 30' of my carpet while still staying within 40' of Rosina) or else an injured one, or just whichever it within my range.
.
Retcon of my Standard action:
As he swoops by 30' above the giant's head, Oliveo takes a momentary pause from his melody to bellow "Abandon hope, sower of evil and ugliness, and feel your fragile power crumble before the greater might of love, beauty, and goodness!" Then he continues with his heavenly song, leaving the bulk of giants unable to see nor hear aught but their own misdeeds.

The giants roar in defiance and counter attack! Rosina's opponent takes the hits from her and Rosaline well. In spite of a coil of fear and despair tugging at his soul, he fights and connects with his huge ax. The follow through goes slightly wide due to the weakening presence of the shade. (Rosina takes 32)
The only other body on the ground, Toska, is also suddenly and heavily engaged by a regular giant and the giant leader, a twisted, brutal looking beat. Though he inflicts a grievous wound, the counter is furious and skilled. The dragon slayer is hit twice in rapid succession. Thankfully, the leader misses. The first hit is a deadly and brutal strike. The huge, sharp steel of the frost giant's great ax cleaves into Toska's shoulder and neck, nearly severing his arm clean off. The second is a swift twist to get his ax free that doors significant damage in its own right. (Toska takes 95 from a confirmed crit with a x3 weapon and a second hit to boot.)
The remaining two giants take hold of two giant boulders and sling then into the air. One misses Oliveo by a hair and catches Johnne in the shoulder, but it's nothing really. (Johnne takes 19 from a thrown boulder)
The other thrown boulder is aimed at Rosaline, but it misses its mark by a good margin.
The lone active ogre charges up behind the suffering Toska, but can't connect with the Dragonslayer in spite of his wound.
Party, GO!

Rosaline, Exalt of Radiance |

Round 2
After the first volley Rosaline follows Toska and Asselus into the melee with the giants. As she gracefully flows over the landscape, she readies her heavy warspear. But instead of simply stabbing, she leverage the weapon and pitches the minion giant into and over the ogre, trying to sweep away both.

Toska is the first to re-engage. The leader leers over him. Toska sneers and attacks. Five graceful, deadly, and astonishingly powerful swings later the giant leader is missing his arms, legs, and head. His corpse collapses to the ground like a sopping wet towel.
The other giant, while this is happening, meets Rosaline in the worst possible way. Rosaline slams into him with all the force of a freight train and sends him flying into the ogre. Toska's sword crosses their path almost by accident and the unlucky Ogre's head explodes. 25 feet away the giant and the ogre corpse tumble to the ground... right by Asselus. The elven bounty hunter's weapons flash and the giant is dead before he can lift off from the ground.
Oliveo and Rosa cast fear and doubt into the remaining three giants. They charge into the bloodbath (as is only proper) but the party is ready and, thanks to their low morale, miss every attack.
Party up. Finish Them.

Also anything hit takes 1 point of bleed damage that stacks with itself :3
Toska hacks the giant in swings from side to side, leaving two gory piles of chili giant on each side of him as he whittled the brute down to his own size, and then to nothing.

Charlotte Adellan |

Oh! Missed the number who were still alive.
Charlotte continuous to observe. "Those are the best insults you can think of?" she calls out invisibly, and, speaking Giant (since tongues is still active), she calls into question the remaining giants' mothers, hygiene, mothers' hygiene, sexual preferences, and mothers' sexual preferences.
Artistry (criticism): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18

Rosaline, Exalt of Radiance |

Round 3
Seeing as the battle seems won, Rosaline stabs one of the giants half-heartedly.

Damage: 2d8 + 15 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (3, 7) + 15 + 8 + 2 = 35
135 damage total inflicted, not quite enough for a whole giant : P

Rosina Csiffra |

Rosina swoops in to follow on Rosaline's target, letting out a deathly wail as she swings an arm into the giant. While her first strikes true, her other arm comes up short.
Slam 1: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (17) + 26 = 43
damage: 3d8 + 11 ⇒ (5, 6, 3) + 11 = 25
Slam 2: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (1) + 26 = 27
Added in the bonus from my aura of despair (+2 to hit and damage).
If the enemy was shaken from my demoralize attempt, he's now sickened for 1 round.
Such a shame haste doesn't give extra attacks with natural weapons. =(

Johnne Sorokin |

Reeling from the boulder that grazed his side, Johnne tightens his grip on the edge of the carpet. "Are you sure this thing is safe?" he asks Oliveo, trying to make his thin voice heard over the din of battle below.
Don't particularly want to spend spells, since we seem to be mopping this up quickly >.>

Asselus Screamingtrees |

He almost laughed at the giant who hurriedly and worriedly tried to crush him underfoot. It was easy to tell its heart was nowhere near into it.

total damage = 91 damage, 91 of which was fire, Yeah I am way scarier when all my strikes are sneak attacks :P
He struck quickly several times, always striking where the giant exposed itself to an attack only the final rapid blow seemed to do any telling damage as it bit deep into the giants foots from its heightened scream he had struck somewhere... painful and/or important.
