Okay, so since we're talking about game mechanics, I thought I'd move this here.

I have a +4 Strength modifier, so I can make the check. Does anyone have a +5 modifier? If so, then that person taking 10 on the check plus 5 people taking 10 on Aid another, gives them the 25 exactly that we need.

So, question for Arianna's player. Since Zoranda's slipped up a couple times now and called Arianna by her proper name, instead of Anna, should Balthasar be putting the pieces together about who she is and anything related to her backstory? How big of a deal was whatever happened in there? Was it publicized, or was it more hush hush?

I'm okay with either one really. I took the drawback I did for roleplaying reasons and while it hasn't come up yet, you could certainly have Balthasar bring it up in character and I wouldn't be upset about it at all.

To the other question: I wrote it so that her father did something terrible (Specifics will depend on gm preferences and the story overall) to the crusaders. He was a traitor to the crusaders and she spent much of her youth bouncing around with the wrong crowds. So its up to you if you'd know or not.

Its a rough one. I will try to do things IC that will mitigate it some but yeah. Arianna should probably not be front and center when dealing with crusaders.

I'd also say this goes to anyone else from in the area. If you're character is interested you could have them putting it together.

People taking total defense or fight defensively actions as they move through the door would be a good idea, hence Balthasar's suggestions.

He just kind of hopes Bitey uses the shield to deflect blows and doesn't hurt himself.

Wait, is the shield medium-sized, or small-sized? If it's medium-sized, Bitey can't use it.
