I've played this one too so I'm also trying to not give too much away, hehe.
(Thanks for the consideration. But it's not like it's difficult to figure out once you took the time to examine the thing and the GM laid out all the hints and everything.)
Orseb begins to see ways to enhance the diorama, using Araden's teachings. He doesn't feel spiritually comfortable doing things to honor some other god, but he figures that it might help the mission. He reluctantly starts making paint from the colored stones, as instructed by Bukkah.
He paints the buildings of the miniature Absalom in varied colors, but makes sure to include an equal share of dark gray and black. His gesture of respect for his own god.

GM chadius |

When Bukkah points out the pigment stones, Orseb reluctantly grinds them into a crude paint, which he decorates the diorama with. The petroglyph of the Artist glows faintly, and everyone feels a warm light emanate from the diorama.
Completing this ritual grants all of the PCs a +1 competence bonus on Perception checks to notice creatures.

The last time I played it there were some new-to-PFS players, but in general I guess I'll start erring on the side of 'most people have probably played this' in the future.
"Did you see that?" Liora gasps. "The little model city and one of the petroglyphs reacted! I bet if we try the steps on some of those other markings that other things will happen too!"
She gazes thoughtfully at the petroglyph of the Fisherman and then shoots the pool of fish a dirty look. "Those things are harder to catch than I thought, but I wonder..."
The sylph reaches down and snatches up one of the many centipedes prowling across the cavern floor, placing it on the diorama. "Fish are probably a lot tastier, but I'm sure there are edible bugs out there too. It's worth a try, anyway!"

![]() |

Fung exclaims excitedly. "Oh I see! The petroglyphs are a guide for rituals to be made to the god Aroden! I should have thought of that. That's quite similar to the temples back in Goka."
Thinking back on the petroglyphs that he had seen earlier, he retrieves his blanket from his backpack and wraps it around the model Absalom.

![]() |

Rathh takes some yellow-tinted parchment from his pack and begins making notes.
"This will prove of interest to the Society. And most likely to Asmodeus, as well."

GM chadius |

Fung finds his blanket fits snugly around the model of Absalom. The glyph of the Tailor glows faintly, and everyone feels their fates bind together.
Completing the ritual grants each of the PCs a +1 bonus on a single attack roll made against a flanked target within 24 hours.
As Liora picks up a caterpillar, one of the fish in the pool bites in its direction. She places the vermin on the model. It looks at her then crawls out of the model back into pool.
Fisherman and the Scholar are available. Or it's time for adventure!

"I believe we've spent a bit long here. Miss Janira may still be dealing with that cow thing."
Valuur fidgets slightly before regaining his composure.

![]() |

"Okay, but...how do we know where to find her?" Liora asks. "She led that minotaur off into the woods and said she'd try to circle back...do we go back to the entrance and wait for her?"
Looking thoughtful, she turns to look at their gillman friend. "Um, do you know anything else about these caves and tunnels? Do they lead other places?"

GM chadius |

"I usually come here through the stream." He looks at the pool and you see an underwater cave beneath it. "Might be difficult for you landwellers, though. I've heard the caves that way lead to an exit to the forest." He points west.
"The gods allowed me to witness your actions today. Very entertaining. Thank you." With that, he submerges into the pool and swims underwater.
In summary, you received these blessings:
+1 bonus on a single attack roll made against a flanked target within 24 hours.
+1 competence bonus on Perception checks to notice creatures.

Rathh scribbles some additional notes on his yellow parchment, then says "I suppose it is time to move on. Let's get through this mess, then see if Janira's still alive."

![]() |

"Wow...now I can say that I've met a gillman!" Liora laughs as they watch Uori disappear underneath the water. "Okay, sounds like going west is the way to go if we want to get back outside. I'm ready to go!"

1d6 ⇒ 3
The persistent glow of the bluish fungi dimly lights the way deeper below the Kortos Mounts. The tunnels broaden to reveal a shallow river that bisects an immense tunnel stretching to the north and south. To the east a small passage exits the chamber at a steep incline.
With the other exits too small to squeeze through or blocked by cave ins, the party quickly runs down this path. Unfortunately there are two kobolds who use this path, and they aren't happy to see the party here.
Bukkah: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Orseb: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (15) + 0 = 15

Kobolds
The party quickly springs into action.
The river serves as difficult terrain.
On your side of the river, right in front lies a pressure plate. Poison dart trap!

![]() |

Fung dashes out of the tunnel and just manages to see one of the kobolds.
perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
With the kobold still some distance away, Fung gathers a storm of static electricity around himself and launches a bolt of electricity at it, powering it with some of his internal energy to reach it.
Accepts 1 burn for extended range, i.e. 1 nonlethal damage.
electric blast: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 vs red touch AC
dmg: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Breathing heavily, Rathh lurches toward the front of the group.
"Perhaps these foolish creatures have forgotten that the strong rule the weak. It is Asmodeus' will!" he says.
double move.

![]() |

Moving to the outside of the tunnel, the monk looks about before noticing the kobolds.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
"Small lizard people! Though they don't look friendly."
Double Move so he's out of the way so the others can get through.

Round 1
"Those things, here? Ugh..." Liora groans as she moves after Fung, placing a guiding hand on his shoulder. "Come on Fung, show me what you can do with those fancy air powers of yours!"
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Liora will cast Guidance on Fung.

GM chadius |

Orseb and Liora put their faith into Fung, and uses it to the best of his ability, zapping one of the creatures. It yelps in pain and staggers to its feet. Which kobold are you hitting?
Bukkah, you are out of range to cast Daze. The closest I can move you to is still 30 feet away, and Daze has a range of 25 feet. What would you like to do instead?

![]() |

Oops, the closest one.

GM chadius |

The party moves into position.
The Red kobold, clearly reeling from the electrical blast, pulls out a spear. The other one pulls out a sling, loads a bullet and hurls it at Bukkah.
Sling: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
It shatters against the wall behind him.

Party is up.

Round 2
Liora draws her sling and moves into the larger cavern after Bukkah and Valurr. "There's just two of them so this should be easy!" she calls encouragingly as she readies a sling bullet.
Move action to draw her sling, then moving to her current map position!

![]() |

Did no one pass the perception check? Oh well...
Fung dashes closer to the river, focusing his attention on the nearer one, hoping to finish it with his next blast.
Going to roll the reflex check just in case :)
reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
electric blast, pbs, guidance: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 3 + 1 + 1 = 14 vs touch AC of red
dmg, pbs: 1d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 1 = 6

GM chadius |

Fung fries one of the kobolds and Valuur shoots the other one down before they can bolster their defenses.
Combat Over
While getting into position, Fung steps on a cleverly buried pressure plate.
Dart: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 1
A dart loaded with some kind of poison hits him in the leg. Luckily, Orseb boosted his tolerance to pain ever so slightly and he shrugs off the injury. His immune system seems fine, as well. It was a Fort Save, but I'll take your Reflex Save roll.
After repelling the beasts, you hear Janira's voice faintly call out as she and some kind of beast grunt and roar at each other. "As the legendary Gregaro Voth successfully battled the wild beasts in the deepest reaches of the Mwangi Expanse, so shall I defeat you, foul servant of Lamashtu!"

![]() |

(That was easy. Guess these weren't Tucker's Kobolds...)
After ensuring that Fung is fine from the dart trap, Orseb is about to put away his unholy symbol. He then hears Janira's war cry.
"That is undoubtedly Janira we are hearing. She is still alive. But that may change soon, if we don't help her. Hurry!"

![]() |

"Yes, we'd better hurry!" Liora gasps and hurries after the group.

GM chadius |

1d6 ⇒ 3
You enter a maze of tight passages that include steep ascents and short climbs as you travel from West to East. You can hear the sounds of a distant battle echoing through the caves, intermixed with inspirational tales of famous Pathfinders and heroic deeds.
The DC of all Acrobatics checks increase by 4 due to the slick floors and inclines.
Janira's words are faint, but you can hear them strengthen your resolve. Inspire Courage +1 is active.
As you enter the tunnel, you notice the shine of mold and protoforms as the sunlight reflects off of them.
Bukkah: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15

"Euhhhh....what are those things?" Liora grimaces as she cautiously draws her sling. "They look like jelly blobs!"

Round 1 - Inspire Courage is active
Fung (Readied)
Rathh
Bukkah
Valuur
Liora
Ameoba
Orseb
Liora isn't sure what they are, but she guesses they are some kind of ooze. Knowledge (Dungeoneering) will help. She and Bukkah figure ranged attacks will help more, so they draw weapons. Fung also prepares to blast the first one in range.

![]() |

Rathh's massive bulk can barely fit through the passage, let alone fight effectively.
He draws a javelin, but mostly fumbles with it.
javelin: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 31d6 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0

GM chadius |

One of the ameoba crawls around the corner, like a large muddy raindrop. Fung easily zaps the red-tinted ameoba as it emerges. Undaunted it continues surging toward him. The other ameoba notices something is going on and crawls toward the party.
Rathh's javelin digs into a nearby wall.

Wait a minute. Are all of us ranged attackers? Haha...
With one of the creature down, Fung shifts his attention to the remaining one.
electric blast, pbs, inspire: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 1 + 1 = 13 vs touch AC
dmg, pbs, inspire: 1d6 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 1 + 1 = 10
He then takes cover down one of the side passages as a hit and run tactic.

Round 2
"Nice one Fung!"
Feeling emboldened by Fung's success against the first blob, Liora weaves her way past Valuur and Rath before attempting to strike the remaining blob with a sling.
Attack (Sling; Inspire Courage): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Moving in front of Rath and then shooting; mobile posting so can't move myself on the map right now.

GM chadius |

Tales of the Lord of Saints inspire Liora to hit a little harder than she expected to. Rathh is also surprised that his Javelin managed to actually injure it.
Fung's electrical blast is far stronger, than the both, but the blob lurches forward.
