Gordon finds lots of fresh vegetables that are well taken care of. Someone is clearly working in this garden. You do not see another being in the room.

Panels of electronics wrap around this thirty-foot-wide circular room. The steady hum of energized computers gently drones, while lights rhythmically flash on and off. Monitor screens display live images of various rooms throughout the outpost. There is an exit door to the north.
This is the security center for the outpost. Displays feed the video from the outpost’s cameras into this room. The controls are an older form of hybrid technology and magical defenses; the hybridization was intended to allow easier access to the chamber for colonists that were proficient in one or the other.
You can gain control of the cameras in some of the areas by succeeding at a DC 12 Computers or Mysticism check allowing you to turn those cameras on or off. The controls for the other cameras are damaged.
An outpost-wide intercom can also be used in this room.

Mysticism: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24
Bubbles sits down at the terminal, tentacles reaching out. He doesn't so much touch the keys as graze over them. Yet, there is still action on the screen as his mind reaches into the magical system. " I can deactivate the security in one of the other rooms. Sounds like a good plan. We probably don't look like colonists... "
Mysticism: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27
Then, Bubbles happily turns on a camera, at random. How many cameras are there?

GM_CariMac |

Loads. I'll mark the rooms that you can see in and who/what you can see in them. Map has been updated. It's in my header.

" Excellent. It looks like I disabled the security in the Mess Hall. But the exile has some robotic friends in the command center. Perhaps we can convince him to join our Host. " Bubbles looks to the group, then moves through the next door. " Ooh, hallway. How very uninteresting. " Bubbles moves to the left and examines the door to the barracks. If boring, he moves inside.
Perception : 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16

GM_CariMac |

The barracks are quite boring.
The room is mostly empty except for some bunk-bed units and remnants of personal items from the original residents.

![]() |

"Lame. Not exciting." Bubbles floats around the room, briefly examining the personal items. After taking a few notes for his log, Bubbles moves on. "Knock, Knock!" The barathu examines the door for a moment then enters the Medical Center.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20

GM_CariMac |

Site was down more than up yesterday. Updating now.
This room served as the medical center for the colonists. Although it is in some disrepair, it is still functional and can be used as an immovable medical lab. Most of the supplies over the years, but some valuable medical equipment remains. The shelving unit in this chamber contains four mk 1 serums of healing, two basic medkits, and four medpatches.
There is a locked cabinet near the bottom shelf.

Bubbles moves to the door to the command center and stops. For once, his courage wavers. " I'm not sure the one through this door will want to join our Host. But we should try anyway. " Once everyone is ready, the barathu's tentacle pushes the door open.

This immense circular room is bare, except for several computer screens and databanks that line the inner walls. Chairs jut out from some of these computerized desks, while doors exit to the northeast, southeast, and southwest.
The exile turns as you open the door.
He yells at you in common. "You killed the elder. How could you? Now I'll never become an elder." A spell is slung at Bubbles from the exile.
The two bots fire shining arrows at Bubbles and Gordon. The arrow clatters off of Bubbles armor, but the projectile aimed at Gordon connects. 3 DMG

Just spelling out the rules I think are in effect in my post above Move action to draw weapon standard to fire. On a natural attack roll of 20 a crit is confirmed if the attack roll would hit on a twenty otherwise a 20 is just a hit. I believe the exile will recieve a cover bonus to his EAC but not enough to negate the hit. So I rolled double damage. If that shot is the one to reduce the exile to zero hp the pulsecaster non lethal damage type kicks in. Otherwise it is just damage. Have I missed anything or got anything wrong?

GM_CariMac |

I believe you have it correct Gordon.
The Exile cries out as Bubble's Mind Thrust hits him, but he manages to fight off most of the damage. 5 DMG. Gordon's attack also hits him. 7 DMG He falls dead.
45X moves into the front of the fight, but doesn't manage to hit anything.

There are no further threats in this building. You can explore the rest of the complex at your leisure.
You discover the computers in this room are easily accessed, and can give you the information that you need to report to the Church of Desna.
You discover that a rogue strain of the Stardust Plague swept through the colony, wiping it out in days.

![]() |

" ooh... plague. A horrible way to go, indeed. Let us leave this place quickly, in case there is any stray bacteria remaining." Bubbles floats through the complex in a hurry, careful not to touch anything. The barathu takes lots of photos and notes, eager to write a good report.
After finishing, he waits by the front door. "Well, should we brave the storm again?"

Blibdoolpoolp doesn't look like she relishes the idea, but after a moment of thickening her outer membrane, she projects, "Once more unto the breach!"

GM_CariMac |

You find the inhabitants pleased to see you and hear about your victory over the exile. They ask you many questions. "Will the haunts be back?" "Is it safe to venture to the outpost now?"
They throw a small celebration in your honor and promise to look favorably upon Starfinders in the future. As well as show a great deal of interest in racing in the Junk races on Absalom Station.
When you arrive back on Absalom Station, Guidance debriefs you.
“Welcome back, Starfinders. The contracting organization is eager to review the data you have recovered. I’ve prepared a list of subsequent missions that might appeal to you, once you’re properly debriefed. There are a multitude of other lost outposts in Near Space, and with your experience, we hope you will take these assignments into consideration. Now, what have you to report?”
We are basically finished. I'll get the chronicle sheets completed tomorrow night. Tomorrow afternoon is my in person AP game.
