Yes, we had this conversation before. Small sized HC's do d8. The crit-range is indeed 19-20. Under a certain condition, you can wield iversized weapons with a penalty

My bad yes that crit was incorrect. Reverse that and only take 9. Yes they are small sized using medium crossbows (only one is) No From the inside of the pit to the rafters is not within reach of Krupt's weapon.

With the crossbow bolt still sticking out of his neck, Petronicus high-tails it out of the ambush room. Once safely in the previous chamber he pulls out a potion from his back, screaming: "Medic!"

Quintus moves to get to the ladder and as he looks up ready to climb he sees a woman at the top, a woman oddly fitting the description you were provided of Natlya. As the two meet eyes she begins casting a spell and the ladder becomes covered in grease.

The one goblin up with the crossbow moves back under cover and you can hear the crossbow crank turning. The other two pulls out another set of bags and toss them at Nimt.

One bag misses horribly while the other connects smashing into her chest, the stench of the filth inside even worse than the rest of the place.

It's actually a potion of cure moderate wounds that we got off the sorcerer, so it would do an additional 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 points of healing, which would bring me up to full.

The sight of Nimt getting hit in the face with a bag reeking of sewage is enough to really set Mach off now.

"Catch this." He growls as he moves next to her and fires his bow. The arrow flies at the goblin who threw the bag...

I'm guessing there's not a convenient spot to move to and color spray the lot, so my options are somewhat limited at the moment.

Um'bala moves to a position to target one of the goblins and chants a short arcane phrase, sending a short jab at the green-skinned nuisance. A purplish fist of telekinetic power flies towards the creature.

Mechanics:

Using a telekinetic fist on one of the offending goblins with a crossbow. 5 left for the day.
Attack, Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2

Only one goblin had a crossbow I think. Jabbing that one is a splendid idea.

Inside the room the only place that would give cover from the goblins is over by the ladder where Quint is. Marked on the map

While Nimt tries to reason with the woman and is busy administering a potion to Krupt, Mach takes a shot with his bow, dropping one of the goblins with a single shot. Um'bala follows up with his arcane powers smacking one of the goblins.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

It's enough to throw him off balance as he tries to reload the crossbow causing him and the weapon to fall into the muck below.

The goblin lands head first into the muck and you hear a loud snap as his body goes limp.

Krupt nods a quick thanks to Nimt for administering the healing draught, then pulls a javelin from a back holster and hucks it at the nearest opponent. Sadly, his misjudges the amount of cover given by the rafters and his javelin sticks with a SPOINGG!!! into the wood.

5'-step, draw weapon as move; throw as standard; if I don't have line-of-sight on any of the goblins from the doorway, I will ready an action to throw the javelin once one pokes his head out. It's hard to tell since the goblins aren't marked on the map; also, if I need to move into the room to get line-of-sight, I'll do that.

Krupt tosses a Javelin but has no luck. Quintus waits at the bottom of the ladder that is still covered in grease considering his options.

In the meantime Natalya comes out on the rafters and begins casting a spell.

It's somewhat difficult to see on the current map where Natalya and the remaining goblin are. Could we have an overview of their positions ?

As her magics wash over Krupt and she sees there effects she yells out "Stop your companions. They are crazy to attack! You should all be working with me rather than the foolish Pathfinders!"

Krupt:
You now consider Natalya one of your closest friends and will help her with her requests as long as it is not harmful to yourself or something you wouldn't normally do. If this is something your character would not normally do you get an opposed Cha check.

Cha: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18

Mach takes a shot at the remaining goblin but it sticks into the rafter before even reaching the goblin. Um'bala uses some more of his arcana power, attempting the attack he performed before. However this time it does not seem to connect.

As for positions. Natalya and the goblin are on some wooden boards up in the rafters. Basically the 2 squares directly above and one space east of where Quint is currently at.

Krupt suddenly realizes the huge mistake they've made. "Guys!" he shouts out. "Don't attack the nice lady, she is like my bestest friend ever! And Pathfinders really suck, also! Let's just kill all the goblins instead! They're dirty sub-humans who don't deserve to live! And they've probably captured the nice lady!"

Then with a maniacal smile, he hefts another javelin and throws it at the nearest goblin, but misses wildly.

Quintus climbs up the ladder and if he can he tries to get all of the goblins and the woman in the burst of a color spray.

2 HD or less The creature is unconscious, blinded, and stunned: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3 rounds, then blinded and stunned: 1d4 ⇒ 4 rounds, and then stunned for 1 round. (Only living creatures are knocked unconscious.)

3 or 4 HD: The creature is blinded and stunned: 1d4 ⇒ 1 rounds, then stunned for 1 round.

5 or more HD: The creature is stunned for 1 round.

Quint the ladder is greased (she did that on her first round when you got to the stairs) you have two options. Acrobatics roll to get up and still do your action or take 10 but will require the full round (ie can't do your second action)

Natalya hearing Quintus climbing up the ladder behind her turns as he is getting close to the top and lobs what looks like a glob of acid at him.

The acid splatters on the wall near Quintus' face and slowly eats away at some of the wood. Natalya curses and looks back toward Dimral. "Help me over here. Keep your friends from hurting me. They know not what they do."

Keep in mind you consider her a very close friend now, but if this is not something you would normally do then you get an opposed Cha check.

The remaining goblin keeps his attention on the targets below. Pulling out another nasty bag and tossing it at Nimt this time.

Mach feels Nimt's magic settling in

Frustrated at his terrible aim with his bow, Mach throws it into the muck after taking a few steps to the south. Stupid piece of garbage.

Hearing Petronicus start singing Natalya's praises and moving to defend her, Mach is more than a little surprised. He draws a knife from the many on his belt and throws it at the goblin, Nimt's magic guiding his aim as it flies through the air...

He then moves into the room and tries to grab Mach. "Stop throwing those sharp daggers!" CMB to grab provoking from Mach: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14

As Petronicus shoves past Nimt and moves to grab Mach, the tiefling finally realizes the warrior is not in his right mind.

"Wha--?! Get off me!" His foot lashes out...

The resulting blow is enough to fend the fighter's approach off for now. He silently thanks Nimt for throwing off Petronicus' approach enough to leave him open.

Mach MIGHT have enjoyed that more than he should.

"Your little mind control trick's rather impressive, Natalya," he said, gathering his power. "Too bad it only works on the weak-minded!" He throws another force fist at her, and smirks as it strikes her square in the stomach.

Nimt fires an arrow that whizs by Natalya. Quint, now up the ladder unleashes a blast of colors that wash over Natalya.

She blinks her eyes a moment but seems to be unaffected by Quintus' magic.

Natalya laughs and pulls out a short sword, moving forward to attack Quintus.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Her strike misses Quint but she looks ready to rip into him.

The remaining goblin turns to attack Quint as well.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2

Even with Natalya's previous attack Quint manages to avoid the goblin as well.

All things considered, Mach was not having a good day.

Being shot by goblins, ordered around, and dumped in filth had made him irritable at best. Add to the fact that the goblin survived getting a knife stuck in him and Krupt succumbed to Natalya's charm trick, and it's a surprise Mach's temper hadn't boiled over.

Until now. He yanks a cosh from his clothes. "Sorry, Krupt." He swings it at the charmed fighter's head...
