Unseen by those behind him, a quirky little smile breaks across Krupt's face as he hears the tiefling's comment.
I dind't think it would happen, but I think the Hellspawn is finally understanding his position in this group, he thinks to himself.

Heading into the 10x15 room you find nother of intrest and nothing that leads into the building proper. There are a pair of blankets on the floor, some empty bottles of alchol, a well work deck of cards, and a lantern.

Lets end them quickly, preferably using spells. Let someone assume full defense in front of the door so he can take the goblin's attacks.

Quint used his familiar to scout and didn't find any other entrances. I am open to inventive problem solving if you have ideas but currently the only way in is through the way you already went.

Without waiting for anyone else, he walks back to the original entrance.

"How about a plank long enough to stretch over the pit? I'm sure we can tear some siding off a building or find a local building site or something. Since we no longer have the element of surprise, we might as well do this right."

You spend some time searching around and find a new beam that looks like it would fit. You haul it back and set it across the first pit.

After setting the beam across, Mach steps aside. "After you, boss." He gestures at Krupt. He doesn't even bother hiding the contempt in his voice--he doesn't have much reason to.

Krupt completely misses the tiefling's attitude and takes the lead, with his shield and dagger held in hand. He briefly checks the door for traps and to see if it is locked or not. Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Heading back into the room with the goblins behind the boxes you find no further threats. The goblins are either hiding very well or no longer in this area.

Mach peeks around the corner of the door, trying to be as stealthy as possible while doing so.

Still using the Perception roll I made earlier.

Peeking inside the door you find another room like the others you have been. The floor has gone away to a pit of muck below. There is a ladder on the southern wall next to a crack in the wall that looks like it would lead to where the goblins had been hiding. On the western wall is an open door.

I'm assuming the ladder goes up? If so, I take off the shield and place it on my back and holster the nice dagger, drawing my guisarme and carefully approach the ladder, polearm held out threateningly in front of me.

If there is time, Nimt will move up behind Mach. If there is no reaction after P's move, she will slip past Mach and take up a position in the corner of the room, if she can stand there safely and stably. She will then ready an arrow for the next goblin to show up.

Krupt jumps down into the muck and swaps out for his other weapon looking up into the rafters above. There is no immediate threat. Nimt and Mach take up positions in case anything else tries to attack.

Petronicus moves up behind Mach with his polearm and briefly checks the door for traps or other devices. Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
He then moves back behind the tiefling, covering him with his guisarme and whispers to him: "Mind checking the door as well? You have more experience with these law-breaking types than I do."
Petronicus will try to assist Mach's Perception check should he chose to make one: Perception aid: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14.

While examining the door, Krupt whispers to to Mach: "I'm new here in Magnimar, but is it normal for goblins to be living in the city? In Cheliax we have largely driven them into the countryside."

Opening the door you find this room is floorless, with only an exposed septic pit where the floor should be. A dry sewer pipe extends from the wall of this pit. The west wall is dominated by a massive brick fireplace that still remains anchored in place, overlooking the sewage. A ladder extends from the sewage to the fire-blackened hearth above. As in other rooms, the ceiling here has collapsed to reveal the attic space.

Nimt moves besides the stairs. She will move back 5 feet if Mach or Krupt oppose to squeezing.

Petronicus creeps after Nimt and climbs up the ladder to the fireplace above.

He doesn't appear to mind squeezing next to Nimt.

Krupt momentarily takes notice of the closeness between the tiefling and the aasmir, but quickly shakes it off. Keep your head in the game, Krupt. Don't want to end up a goblin meat-puppet, he thinks to himself.

Krupt leads the way into the room and as he gets about a quarter of the way into the room you hear from the rafters above "Attack!" Shortly after bags and bolts begin to fly.
From the rafters above you see three goblins pop out, one with a crossbow the other with bags that you have seen before.
Attack-X: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Confirm: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Damage+crit: 2d10 ⇒ (9, 2) = 11
Attack-B1: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
Attack-B2: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2
The bolt from the goblins crossbow flies into Krupt's neck nearly knocking him to the ground. The two bags smash into the muck near Krupt but don't have any effect. Above in the rafters you hear some chanting but can't see where it is coming from.
-11 damage to Krupt. Map updated but a little complicated. Look to the left of the current map to see where things are (that you can see) in the rafters.
