Petronicus Krupt |

Petronicus Krupt II reluctantly reporting to the undisciplined Pathfinder Society. I can't, however, believe that you allow fiendlings into your company. In Cheliax they are all considered to be criminals at best, and their best use is thought to be for target practice.

Petronicus Krupt |

"Well then, I should probably be grateful this isn't Cheliax then, shouldn't I?"
Petronicus ignores the Tiefling's rantings but then remarks, "Once of Cheliax, always of Cheliax".

Petronicus Krupt |

And just to be clear, Petronicus is a pompous a**, but will support the group. I am playing up his ... difficult personality, but it does not at all reflect how I, the player, feel. I just find that some internal conflict within the group can lead to interesting RP opportunities.
Internal conflict is a must-have for any TV show or movie, but somehow in Patfinder games most of the time everyone is supposed to always be buddy, buddy.

No problem with that either, PK. I'm also playing a bigoted Chelaxian fighter in another game, so I'd be a liar if I said it bothered me. As long as it's all RP, it's all good.
"And what was Cheliax before the coming of Aroden, again?", says a Mwangi dressed in purple-and-yellow robes. "There aren't many things that are universally true, but this much is: that which is is rarely forever. These lands are proof of that."
Hmmmm, two arcane, a tank and a skill monkey. Hopefully we get someone who can heal!

GM Dak |

Welcome all. Still looks like we are waiting for a few more people to check in. I wanted to start out this week with opening up the gameplay thread and give you all a little time to know one another. I'll open the gameplay tomorrow around noon GMT-6 (Central) then we will go from there. In the meantime I am going to update the campaign info a bit.
Additionally, I generally like to use Roll20 or Google docs for my maps. Generally I reserve it for combat situations but I'll keep you updated on the map as I am describing it. If there are any preferences on one solution over the other let me know.
Note One thing that is a huge help for me is if you could all update your profile to match Quintus, specifically the classes/levels section :)

Quintus Valdemar |

"Friends let us not argue about such philosophical things. We are living in the here and now. Why don't we have a friendly game of dice, or cards while we travel?"

Quintus Valdemar |

Quintus smiles at the Chelaxian.
"I'm ready. Shall we put a friendly wage on the outcome of the game, or shall we just roll for the fun of it?"
As Quintus speaks he swiftly pulls out a pair of dice each bearing a simply display of dots from 1-6.
These dice are loaded.

Reporting in ! Very happy to have made it. There were a lot of great submissions
Petronicus Krupt II reluctantly reporting to the undisciplined Pathfinder Society.
Many of them are, but there's also a few bands that are very professional

Petronicus Krupt |

Krupt shrugs at Nimt's comment, but his eyes grow wide when he notices her otherworldly nature. "Yes, a few may be," he notes, glancing over at Star and then turning back to face the aasimar, "but some seem to be little better than menageries." The Chelaxian then turns back to his dice game.

Mach Star |

Mach looks the new arrival over. Something about her made his blood boil... well, a lot of things did that. But this time it felt instinctual.
Silently telling himself to grow a pair already, He approaches the new girl.
"I don't believe we've met before."

GM Dak |

Alright, looks like we've got everyone! Update campaign info with posting style guides and some other general information. I'll add a link to the map in the near future.
Also, will have a post up in the campaign thread to kick off some pre-game RP even though you've kind of already started it :P As a side note, the gameplay thread is open if you want to dot it for easy access via your Campaigns page.

Quintus Valdemar |

Quintus nods stiffly at Krupt.
"Well if we are just going to use the same dice no need for me to pull out mine don't you think?"
Quintus rolls Krupt's dice quickly while placing his away and looks at the other members.
Dice rolls: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 2) = 7
Standing up after noticing Nimt, Quintus offers a bow.
"Milady, may I just say that I am sorry I was so churlish as to not notice you as soon as you walked in. The only thing I can say is that I was most likely blinded by your radiance, and my own mind conspired against me, so that I might have a chance of not making a fool out of myself in front of you."

GM Dak |

Honestly, I would expect that he would get used to his party members. While they are Outsiders, they are Native to the material plane which makes them much more human than a pure outsider. So.. I will house rule that you can get used to your party members and avoid the shaken condition unless they do something particularly otherworldly, IE use SP/SQ related to being an outsider.

![]() |

Heh, just noticed that! Two aasimars and a tiefling. This ought to be a challenge for Um'bala!
As for party members, I figure he'd still be put off by them, given his experiences with the supernatural, but he should get used to them eventually. I'm good with whatever stipulations you wish to place on this, GM.

![]() |

My bet, posted with the wrong alias. One Tiefling, one Aasimar in your party. Who don't know, as yet, that using their supernatural abilities will worsen Um'bala's anxiety.
Also, can we be(come) part of a faction during the AP ?

Petronicus Krupt |

GM Dak, after some consideration, I would like to rework my PC a bit if it's okay with you. We have pretty low damage output at the moment, and I feel that since I'm on the only fighter in the group, I should increase my DPR a bit. I still like the trip fighter idea, and will keep some of that in the build.
If it's okay with you, I'd like to switch around some feats and switch my weapon to a guisarme instead. I think I can be more useful to the party that way.

As I see it, the two casters will incapacitate the enemy, and the two martials will then be able to finish the helpless lot. But do what you like best.
as for roll20 and google docs, I don't care. Pick the one that is less work for you. I would like it if we could start the chat as soon as possible, whatever option is chosen.

Quintus Valdemar |

I prefer google docs personally as I haven't used roll20 all that much, but I would be fine learning about it if that is the better option for anybody else.

GM Dak |

Ha yeah, that is fine. I read it and thought "That's fine" why can't you read my thoughts? :P
As an aside, I am going to put everyone in HeroLabs this weekend. If you happen to already use it and want to send me the .por ahead of time shot me a PM and I'll give you an email to send it to.
After this process I will let you know if I have any questions on crunch.

Petronicus Krupt |

If you're looking for advice, I would recommend either the Community or Weather Domain. Community allows you to spontaneously cast bless spells, plus the calming touch ability can occasionally be useful for removing the fatigued, shaken, and sickened conditions. Weather gives you a 30' range electricity touch attack that also debuffs the target (NO SAVE!) for 1 round, and allows you to spontaneously cast obscuring mist, which is a great low-level battlefield control spell. Also, since you have PBS, this would always make the touch attack even more accurate and damaging!
Just my $.02.
