I'm really hoping we have concealment, since we're fighting in the dark.
Well, Um'Bala still has a light spell active, although it's only a standard action to dismiss (on his turn).
GM BrOp
Mach, you're in the shadow of the building and in the "outer" area of illumination of the light spell where the ambient light of the area (darkness) is increased by one step to "dim light". This means you have concealment and can make stealth checks to gain total concealment so that you can get another sneak attack next turn.
GM BrOp
I've updated the combat map to show the current lighting conditions. Everything in yellow is normal light, and in blue means dim light. This is based on the "source" of Um'Bala's light spell being in the NW corner of the square he is currently occupying.

I actually made a mistake, which you can now see corrected on the combat map. I made the 4th grade math class mistake of confusing "radius" with "diameter" when I said that Mach was in dim light; he's actually in darkness. The light spell is actually fairly weak and only has a 20' RADIUS for normal light.

If Quintus hasn't posted an action by this evening (PST), I will bot him for this turn, just to keep things moving.

this is Nimt. either my computer or the site is acting funny. can't change my alias. I meant to take a 5 ft step backwards and go full defence. Could someone test for me whether it's an alias bug or someone else ?
GM BrOp
Good news! I've got my old crappy laptop (craptop?) working, so I can now check in more regularly at home. Huzzah!
Yay!
GM BrOp
Folks should go ahead and start the leveling process. Petronicus will take another level of fighter; it seems we need all the martial help we can get, although due to the lighting conditions, Mach and Nimt were really able to shine in this last combat.
GM BrOp
:D
So, how are we doing HP for this?
You can take your chances and roll or take the average (i.e. 4, 5, 6, or 7).
GM BrOp
I've updated the "Loot Sheet" shown in the page header. Please claim any item you wish to keep by adding the number you are keeping in the column underneath your name. Anything unclaimed will be sold (generally at half value) and the gold will be divided equally.
Please note that there are a number of magical items that have yet to be identified whose true value is unknown.
EDIT: If someone else has claimed an item that you are interested in, please let us know here and we can hash it out.
Mach Star
I think I'll stick with the average.
So... that's 5 HP for me.

Stats look good. Petronicus would have no trouble with you having the mithral sword if he can have the mw chain shirt :)

And here's the description for the second-story harness:
Second-story Harness
A second-story harness is a series of straps, trusses, and buckles that can be worn over clothing or armor. A second-story harness allows the wearer to, as a move action, secure herself in place on a vertical surface so that both her hands are free. The wearer can remain in this position without needing to make additional Climb checks, and does not lose her Dexterity bonus to AC as long as she remains anchored. As long as the wearer is anchored in this way, she cannot move and gains a +5 circumstance bonus on Climb checks made to avoid falling whenever she takes damage. The wearer can release herself to start moving again as a move action. A second-story harness costs 55 gp and weighs 3 pounds.
Quintus Valdemar
Quintus doesn't want anything from the loot sheet right now, but might after we identify the boots and the wand.
Just a question for the group, but do we want to keep the potions as party loot, so we don't sell them, but nobody has to claim them? That way we have some healing in case anybody goes down.

Somebody should take even the potions, just so I know who is carrying them when stuff hits the fan.
Um'bala
|
Well, I don't have shield in my spellbook, so I'd like to take one of them to add to my repertoire. Like Quintus, my interests may change once we identify the rest of the stuff.
HP: taking average, and applying favored class bonus, +7 (now 16)
BAB: +1 (now +1)

Here's an idea concerning loot. Potions should not count as part of anyone's loot share. Since they are more often used by whoever is in need of them rather than the person who "picked" them, its more useful to think of them as "party" property. If they stay on the "loot sheet", however, they become part of the "loot/person" calculation. I therefore suggest the following:
Claim the potion you want to carry in the "loot sheet". Once they have all been accounted for, I will change their value to "0", so that they are not part of the final "loot/person" calculation that the spreadsheet does so nicely. Any unclaimed potions will keep their value, as they will be sold at half price.
What do folks think?

Makes sense. Just to keep things flowing and not spend time on trivial matters, I will assume that you eventually identify everything correctly. I will take the shard off the loot list for reasons you will soon discover ...

Cat Burglar’s Boots
Aura faint transmutation; CL 3rd
Slot feet; Price 2,000 gp; Weight 1 lb.
DESCRIPTION
These soft-soled boots provide their wearer with a +2 competence bonus on Acrobatics, Climb, and Stealth checks. Once per day as an immediate action, the wearer of cat burglar’s boots can reroll any one failed Acrobatics, Climb, or Stealth check, taking the result of that check in place of the first failed check (even if the second result is worse). In addition, a secret pocket in the boots is built to hold a fully functional set of masterwork thieves’ tools. A DC 22 Perception check is required to notice this pocket. Any other object in the pocket causes it to bulge and become obvious to even casual observation.
CONSTRUCTION
Requirements Craft Wondrous Item, cat’s grace; Cost 1,000 gp
GM BrOp
Bah, don't worry about it. Things like this even out over the course of an AP. We'll all make out like bandits eventually. :)
Agreed.
GM BrOp
Problem is, a lot of the loot here is geared (heh heh) towards rogues.
I don't want to come across as being greedy here...
Well, you ARE a rogue, so you could say you're just following to M.O.
We still have the ring of feather-falling and the wand of mage armor. Who wants those? Perhaps the ring should go to Nimt, since she is not able to cast that spell and none of the other loot is really tailored to her.

Alright... I'll keep the boots. I'd get the most use out of them anyway. :)
I don't have any objection to letting someone else keep the mw chain shirt.

It really only makes sense for you to wear it. Um'bala, Nimt, and Quintus can't wear it, and Krupt really doesn't need the extra point off his ACP, since he doesn't really use those skills all that much.
Mach Star
Okay...
Mw chain shirt for me it is, then.
At least it's cleaner than my studded leather now. XD
EDIT: To Sell:
--1 set of common thieves' tools
--1 suit of studded leather armour
EDIT PART 2: Gold Gained
Common Thieves' Tools: 15 GP
Studded Leather: 12.5 GP
Total: 27.5 GP

This is actually a good idea by Mach here. If you sell something that you already own, just notate it here in the discussion thread and keep track of the gold yourself. The loot sheet will only be for items that are found that need to be split up among the party.
The party should probably also pool some resources to invest in a fully charged wand of CLW, which can be purchased from the Bank of Abadar for 750 gp, which comes out to 150gp per PC. This purchase will extend your "game day" by quite a bit. Does Mach have that much cash left?

Nope. I'm 10 gp short.
Argh. Perhaps I've got some other stuff I can sell off...
We DO have a second set of mwk thieves' tools to sell... that'd put me over the 10 gp I'd need to contribute my share for the wand.

The 2nd set of mw thieves' tools are already calculated as part of the loot for everyone. Krupt can simply advance you the 10 gp (OOC, of course), but first everyone needs to agree that the CLW wand is worth the group investment.
GM BrOp
Quintus and Nimt still need to let us know what they want from the loot list (if anything).
GM BrOp
Really? Nobody wants the ring of feather falling, the wand of mage armor, and the scroll of shield? They will be sold if nobody speaks up. Remember, you're only going to get half value for it if you sell it.
GM BrOp
I thought nimt had already claimed the ring. If she doesn't want it then Quintus will take it.
Nimt has not claimed it. I suggested that she would be a good candidate for it. You could take the wand of mage armor instead, however.
