The door creaks open and you finds a set of archives. The archives are a series of wide, interconnecting hallways with high, arched ceilings. Long, stone-topped reading islands run down the center of the halls, dividing them. Dust and cobwebs cover everything, easily marking the recent passage of several large creatures. Tall shelves line the walls, filled with assorted tomes and grimoires. Some of these bear recent damage: shelves smashed and singed, and books lying in scattered piles, torn, tattered, and burnt. Ten feet from the door in front of you sits a large desk covered in an assortment of dusty tomes.

I'll advance slowly, allowing the others to try to hide if the wish first, and take a look around. It's clear whatever that last encounter was has drained him considerably, but he finds hidden reserves to keep pushing onwards.

The group looks around for the source of the mysterious chanting in the nearest section of the archives, but before they can do much more a shadowy bat-winged humanoid appears in the low-light area of Thor's Continual Flame. As this happens, the room is plunged into preternatural darkness, save for the light shed from Thor's hammer.

The low-light portion is now darkness and anything outside the darkness is supernatural darkness. If there is an bookcase between Thor and somewhere, then the area is one step lower in light.

Wei Ji needs to make me a Will Save.

The shadowy bat thing lifts off into the air and charges Thor, trying to shred the Asgardian's flesh with its claws and teeth.

Shel rubs the Oil of Daylight over her kukri and the magic of the oil seems to counter the darkness permeating the room.

Light conditions return to Normal Light in first circle, Dim Light in second circle and Darkness for the remainder. Any obstruction between Thor and a square reduces the light by one step.

After the initial assault, Irina screams in terror, dropping both of her axes when she catches sight of the shadow bat, retreating back up the stairs towards the exit to the garden. Blackthorn mewls before quickly following her.

@Thor: Since you are using a Called weapon, you cannot Fervor Bull's Strength AND call back Mjolnir (both are swift actions). Since you Fervor'd first, Mjolnir is now in the square of the red shadow bat.

Thor flings his hammer at the shadow bat, but it falls limply on the ground and does not return to his hand when he tries to call it.

Wei Ji:
As the light is restored, you see a beautiful woman standing next to you in the archives. It appears that no one else can see her due to the bookcases. She smiles at you and you feel your skin grow hotter.

"Will you please go stop your friends from harming my pets? They are just protecting these archives." she whispers just over your shoulder so only you can hear. "You have trespassed on my library and they won't stop until you leave. Help them leave through force as it will be the quickest way for them to not die."

You are now Dominated by the woman.

Thor:
As you step back and fling Mjolnir, you see Wei Ji starts to move towards you and behind him appears a beautiful woman. She glares at you as her eyes flash.

"Remove your armor for me..." suggests the woman to Thor.

There shouldn't be any darkness, as my Continual Flame has been Heightened. Unless I'm mistaken, (they have changed the rules a few times), any magical darkness effects that touch my light should removed completely unless they are 5th Spell Level or higher.

@Thor: The Will Save is from the spoiler in my most recent combat post not the quoted post. Also, Continual Flame overrode the Deeper Darkness spell within the 20' radius of the torch like effect, but only raised the light level by one step in its farther radius per the Light blog that Paizo put out. Shel's Daylight actually negated the effect due to Daylight's wording.

As Thor's mind becomes fraught with the will of another, he is overcome with an immense need to take off his own armor, rather than follow the orders of his tengu comptriot.

Darro and Voros unleash a bevy of arrows at the shadow bat in the forefront with Voros' arrow exploding in a burst of color, but the creature seems to resist most of the damage from his combination explosive, as well as the sheer force from the arrow.

Darro has similar bad luck as only his first arrow connects and it seems to do nearly nothing to the shadowy creature.

Voros takes this all in stride and looks at the creatures once more, realizing that they are shadow demons. They are highly resistant to magic and energy damage as well as only susceptible to cold iron or good weapons. Fighting them in the dark is a bad idea.

The creatures move to fill the doorway, lashing out at the only target available to them: Shel.

Going to delay the demons until after Shel to make this move faster.

She lashes out with her kukris as the shadow demon is struck by the blade, however the blade seems to pass through the creature, doing negligible damage to the outsider.

Irina and Blackthorn continue to flee in fear from the crypt, climbing out of the tunnel and back into the garden. It seems that the High Priestess has returned to inside her temple and the Pathfinder tries to rush inside to flee from the shadow demons, but she finds the door is locked. She realizes that this door must lock automatically and can only be opened from the inside...

Thor, shrugging at the Suggestion, begins to unstrap his breastplate, pulling on the leather and metal clasps on his right side as the woman strides around the corner.

Wei Ji:
You hear the woman's voice in your mind. "Ignore the dwarf. I will handle him. Take care of the rest of your friends here and convince them to leave my presence in whatever way you can."

As this happens, you see the woman's eyes flash a deep crimson.

Voros and Darro fires off a salvo of arrows at the foremost shadow demon, one of which is equipped with explosives. Two of Voros' arrows land, however they do significantly less damage than expected as they seem to phase through the beast.

The demons cannot be critically hit.

Two of Darro's arrows phase through the beast as well, but it is looking definitely worse for the wear from the attacks.

The woman turns to Wei Ji glares at him.

Wei Ji:
In your mind, you hear her speak to you. "See, your friends have no honor and will not retreat even after you offer them quarter. I even held off the guardians (Delayed to after Shel) and they still relentlessly attack and disrespect you."

Sorry, forgot a key part of that. The beasts attack at touch automatically, so you being in darkness just makes you flatfooted as well, so only things like Deflection count as they apply to all ACs.

This scenario is pretty rough, btw.
