As the party makes their way towards the path, Erevan spots a small pixie looking at them. Before the half-elf can react, the fey shrieks, and dashes further into the forest.

Through the winding paths, the party comes across a small clearing; near a large bush, an ugly, toothy beast of a humanoid is sitting down eating a deer, its head now being crunched and chewed by the foul giant. Both groups see each other and it begins to rise, licking its lips as it comments...

Trolls are savage giants that are fearless in battle, due to their feared regeneration that make them overall immortal to conventional weapons. Only acid and fire causes enough of a shock to curb the regeneration enough to allow a troll to be slain.

DC 23+ Kn: Local:

This fellow is obviously experienced in some martial training. Given the way it is eyeballing Erevan, you're guessing perhaps ranger and favoring elves or humans.

It steps up, just outside of reach of Erevan's blade, and tries to back the half-elf into the trees.

Arkynn's rapier cannot penetrate the armor, even with the electrically enhanced pull. Nijena's swing fails as well due to the wound she just received.

Yeah... the four player adjustment for this scenario is very mediocre... I will say troll has a 24 AC. That being said, bird can flank with Nijena for an extra +2 to hit.

DC 18+ Kn: Local:

Trolls are small giants whose lack tactical acumen is replaced with a powerful regenerative ability. They will often run fearlessly into battle, knowing even severed heads can be replaced if given enough time. Fire and acid, though, stops the regeneration temporarily and is the only method that will truly allow a troll to die.

DC 22+ Kn: Local:

This troll has unusually short forearms; while it still has the reach granted by its superior height, it is unable to savagely rend its targets apart as most trolls are apt to do.

This troll also seems to be knowledgable about Erevan's anatomy, given the one attempt it tried to attack the agile fighter. It must have some training or favoring to those type of enemies.

The eagle manages a single scratch against the troll, who begins licking its lips while contemplating eating some poultry.
