Eamon pipes in Thrice-Shrouded Necropolis? Hmmm, well if that doesn't sound like a cheery place, I don't know what does! The proud Taldian smirks. And if I wanted to talk to a raving woman, I'd pay mother a visit! It may be stale and boring.. Eamon, literally pats his mouth, as if to hide a yawn. but, my vote is; lets go visit this intellectual ..that's to say tomorrow. After we've had supper and a nights sleep. That vial of holy water was certainly used up for the ritual.

After some discussion and a good night's rest, the group wanders out first thing in the morning to visit the wayward alchemist. It doesn't take much to find the man and his shop, or what used to be his shop. A cramped, single-room establishment full of empty shelves. A sign is posted across the windows. "Closed for business."

A voice yells from the inside. "I don't sell nothing no more!"

Feeling intimidated, the supposedly crazed alchemist slowly and reluctantly hands the journal back to Alexis. Having a bit more time to digest the information, you are able to note that some spells are written into the book: memory lapse, spectral hand, and pain strike. Interestingly enough, the journal it references ancient markets the experimental necromancer frequented to procure supplies, as well as her service to the Pharaoh of Forgotten Plagues. This would certainly help in identifying the location of the Dungeon of the Ever-Dying.

You have three options from here:
1. Temple of the Reedeming Sun, where you can meet the raving woman
2. Visit the Thrice-Shrouded Necropolis
3. Back to the scholar
We shall go with the place that gets 2 votes first.

This temple is the largest in the city. It boasts a massive courtyard where the faithful congregate to pray under the open sun. The gold plating on the surrounding buildings focuses the rays of the sun inward on a tremendous altar at the center of the courtyard, it's been told that the heat at the apex is so intense that the priests require protective magic to survive giving their sermons.

One of the side buildings that provide shelter from the sun is the hospice wing. Inside you are able to find Mauta, the woman mentioned in the briefing as you are escorted to by a priest named Herhut. Mauta lies in a small room separate from the other patients, and her mad screams echo through the halls. The priest explains that Mauta started rambling in garbled Ancient Osiriani shortly after arriving at the temple. They are doing their best to care for her, but they are unable to ease her wild ramblings and hallucinations. She is strapped down to her bed, in her mad state, she yells incoherently, as if she's lost the ability to speak properly.

Driven by a search for answers, the group overrules Eamon's suggestion and heads straight towards the necropolis.

Priests of Pharasma, the Lady of Graves, oversee a large graveyard and several small shrines surrounding it. For reasons unknown to anyone, the necropolis possess some unique traits: the sun’s light shines weakly upon it, causing the graveyard to be dimly lit even on the brightest days, every sound made in this area is difficult to her, almost as if everything is muted.

Oddly enough, everybody feels calm and emotionless when wandering the necropolis. This is a forced feeling, therefore you cannot take violent (no combat allowed!), happy, or acts that could be perceived as one driven by emotion.

When you arrive, you are immediately greeted by a mid-ranking priestess. "Good day, I am Renofre, have you come here to pray?"

Mosquito Witch Handouts

She pauses, pondering, and comes up with a unsubstantial reply. "As far as I recall, forever. Some say it's been 500 years, but some claim 1000. I really don't know.."

Eamon growing impatient with the less than forth coming priestess says, Let me be plain. We believe a Doru Div or the spirit of a Doru Div has come back and started haunting the new excavations beneath the city. This 'Div' was most likely tortured by The A woman Pharaoh know as the Pharaoh of the forgotten Plagues. This Pharaoh was also a powerful Necromancer who may be trying to reach out from beyond the grave herself. We found evidence of this from a crazed alchemist and a raving woman in a lunatic Asylum. Now, you can stand there and act as if the world doesn't exist... and the problems of the rest of the city are none of your concern. Or you can furrow your little forehead together and begin to think about what the clergy of Pharasa might have to aid us in discovering and putting a stop to a possible cataclysmic event by outsiders and undead. Do you hear me priestess! It's time to act or at very least reveal any information that might help us! Starting with this Dungeon of the Undying.

OK I don't know how much of Eamon loosing his patience will pay off in Pleasantville. It seems if it were under a permanent calm emotions spell I probably couldn't even do an intimidate check. If Eamon does get that same dour passive response from this priestess though...He's done. He will Go back to Obahar to report his findings....with or without the rest of the party.
