Dru winks at Velinov
"Thanks, but I'm going to stay far away from any innuendo the Fae may read into that. They can be quite particular in their interpretations. Besides, I'm not goods with knots. Can someone else do that while I go check on Virml?"
Velinov moves towards the cage with the toothless Virml.

Bokkah attempts to resuscitate the poor Virml, and he slowly regains consciousness, he looks at the group in somewhat of a shock. He takes a minute to understand what's going on but he once he does, he shares with you his encounter. "eh..eh.. foc!He states, barely able to enunciate without his teeth. Dru chuckles at her joke, then comes close to the toothless Virml, smiling.
You know, it's rude to say "foc" in front of a lady. So I'll say again what I understand of your sentences, and you will nod if I'm right.

Hanlin, who's spent a fair amount of time listening to regional dialects and different languages from across the Inner Sea, nods slowly as he works out the flapping gums of the prisoner. "Sounds reasonable, a bit gummy but reasonable. We should get him upstairs and track down whoever it was posing as him asap. At least get the guards to summon the Venture Captains and start searching."
He then stows away his key in his belt pouch and begins slogging back to the room's doorway, looking back over his shoulder to see if the rest of the group is coming as well.

You can go back anywhere! But there's only one unexplored place, and I would guess everyone is keen to head that way.
The party heads backwards to the entrance towards the scriptorium, where "Virml" was last seen. The journey, a mere five minutes of strolling through the murky waters, was somewhat uneventful. Walking up the stairs, to everyone's surprise the door to the scriptorium is locked.

Eraith stands over the fey for a few seconds, before shoving his blades back into their scabbards and walking away. Slaying fallen foes where they lay had no meaning, regardless of how devious they are. Still, he makes a note to ensure that he is protected from such mental assaults in the future while he watches the...flirtation(?) that plays out between Velinov and Drusilla with grim amusement.
As the party approaches the scriptorium, a thought strikes him, especially upon finding the doors still locked. "How many pieces of the scroll do we have?"
While he asks, Eraith fiddles the door to unlock (but not open it!) whilst also checking for traps

Hanlin swears under his breath when they discover the door heading out is locked. He starts to again go for his key until Eraith begins picking the lock. Well there we go, he looks like he knows what he's doing.
"How many fragments did we need to collect for that oversized fey-fish that ruined my shoes? What do we have... 4 so far? Honestly I'm a bit more concerned with escaping and warning Paracountess Zarta than a few old scrolls." I wonder though if I could get a 'real' mission if we cleaned this one up well...
Edited
Hanlin straightens himself up a bit and adjusts his collar, trying to ignore the sloshing coming from his shoes declares "Once we find for sure we can get out of this place and aren't trapped, then finding the remaining fragments is priority. We can't recapture the fox without it and can't end the water without him." He then turns to Velinov and Sigias "Have the two of you scanned each and every room for magic? Should be the quickest way to find those damned scroll pieces."

Your diligence yields no rewards, the basement scanned over with detect magic shows no further signs of anything that was not already found.
Back at the scriptorium, Eraith prior to unlocking the door notes a simple ink trap that is set to fall when the door opens. He disables the trap and opens the door revealing the room.
This large chamber is crammed with desks and lecterns designed for copying scrolls and manuscripts. Along the north wall, a tall, broad shelf sags with sheaves of parchment, while near the exit to the south, a stack of ceramic ink jugs stands near wall-mounted racks of quills. Two bays of windows on the west wall offer an impressive view of the Lodge’s greatest landmark, Skyreach Tower, while the eastern windows overlook the library’s main stacks.
In the middle of the room lies a giant croc, just laying there, but it looks too real to be fake. In the end of the room, Master Shane seems to be sitting down, studying a bunch of scrolls, he looks up at your entrance. "Well? Did you identify the source of the water? Did you stop it?"
Next to the crocodile on a table, you note another similar fragment of scroll.
Will get an updated map later.

He nods at Master Shaine "Send that boob Virml home already?" then focuses his attention on the croc, raising an eyebrow at it as he looks into its eyes. Bokkah realises along with the rest of the group, that while Shaine's behaviour is surely unusual, this is definitely not the Master Shaine you know. You are more than confident with the gathered evidence of the trap, the croc, the lying scroll fragment, the shape changing fox. This is indeed him, the fox.

Wow! That took a turn of events.
Almost immediately, Shaine falls prey to Sigias request. He stands and follows the party towards Ms Koi, leaving behind the crocodile in the room.
If you wish to do anything with the Fox, please include that in your next post.

You have the scrolls, it takes a magic word to activate. Something like the foxes name, but for the love of my mind, I cannot remember what his name is, and where is the ..."
But before she could speak, at command of Sigias words, Shaine transforms himself into the mysterious fox in question! However you also note that the hypnotism starts to wear off slowly. Ms Koi again is impressed, "You found him! If only we could trap him now..."

As Sigias says the words, the face on the fox sulks as he realises that he has been defeated. A magical wind entrances the room and catches the fragments of the scroll, glowing it bright orange. The scroll pieces levitate and sew themselves to make it one piece. A vortex appears and sucks up Caught the fox. He screams at you as he flies through it."Noooooooooooooo." and he disappears.
"This is just wonderful!" Exclaims ms Koi. However there is a look of lingering worry on her face. "I'm afraid there is still trouble admist, I sense that Caught has released another creature. If you don't take care of it this place may be in danger!" She speaks, referring to the crocodile you just encountered.
