Marshal, Wyam |

Wyam feels the pull but his intention was to chase after the Undead, he forcibly put his gaze in the doorway and moved after the revenant.
WIll save, just in case: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18

GM Arkwright |

Disdaining the room's temptations, Wyam presses onward, deeper into the house.
Piles of broken stone, dirt, and a few ruined pickaxes line the edges of this room. The floor in the middle of the room has been torn up to reveal an ancient set of stone spiral stairs, obviously of much older construction than the surrounding basement, winding deep into the bedrock below. A foul stink, like that of rotten meat, wafts up on a cold breeze from the darkness.
Wyam suddenly experiences a vision- Aldern Foxglove, sweaty, filthy and wild-eyed, digging away at the stone floor of this room with a pickaxe. With each swing, two words- "For you." The vision ends with him breaking into the room below, and a horde of shrieking ghouls rising up to pull him below before they turn their eyes on you.
Given your lack of Channels, hope you don't mind that I'm just going to have the haunt affect you.
Using your previous will save... Wyam shakes off the vision, regaining his senses and descending.
The stairs end in a limestone cavern. The walls drip with moisture, and swathes of black and dark blue mold grow in spiraling, tangled patterns on the floor, ceiling, and walls. Bits of rubble and broken bones clutter the floor, and a rhythmic sound—as of the breathing of some immense creature—echoes through the cave from three tunnels, one to the north and two to the west. Of the two western tunnels, the southernmost one seems to be a relatively new creation.

Marshal, Wyam |

Wyam stops at the intersection and looks down all three ways, the image from the vision playing again in his head as he looked down the newly constructed way. He hesitated, putting his hand to the wall.
Was that really an illusion... haunts are caused by traumatic events, could that man in the vision really be the same one we met in Sandpoint?
But his knowledge of Revenants told him otherwise. He looked to the southernmost tunnel heading west.
"That way, I think... don't trust Aldern if we find him. He may have lied to us." he said, as he started making his way to the south-west.

GM Arkwright |

Wyam directs the party through the southernmost tunnel.
This long cave stinks of rotten meat. The source of the horrific smell is readily apparent in the swath of carcasses strewn about the floor of this place. Most seem to be of small animals and fish, but at least three humanoid bodies and one partially eaten horse lie in the mess as well.
Scenting new flesh, a loud and terrible SCREECH shakes the cavern, and a terrible bat with empty eyesockets and protruding bone fingers. It screams a challenge.

Haste round 1/5

Marshal, Wyam |

Wyam's neck was very nearly torn into by the bat as it bit towards him. Fortunately, he had spared no expense in acquiring the best armor he could afford.
He raised his shield at the last second and even though the bat immediately knocked it aside, it's attack was thrown off just enough that instead of finding flesh, it met with metal. Spectrum's spell shot through Wyam like a jolting shock of electricity, allowing him to move all the quicker as he raised his blade against their foe.
"You have chosen the wrong prey today, prepare yourself!"
Wyam is challenging the bat. +2 to attack and +5 to all damage rolls.

Isme |

I still have a move action so if I can just follow up before Spectrum's turn...
The raven suddenly cackles, countering the bat's screech with her loud ominous caw.
Cackle to extend Misfortune by 1 round.

Spectrum |

Sorry for the delay. Life got rough for a few days.
Haste, round 2/5
Spectrum was a bladed blur as he lashed out at the bat-

Wow, that was sad. Only 10 points of damage from 3 attacks.

GM Arkwright |

The bat lashes out at Spectrum's clumsy concentration. Confounded by Isme's curse, its bite misses.

Evil Eye (-2 AC) on the bat, 8 rounds, DC 17 Will reduces to 1 round. Cackle to extend Misfortune and Evil Eye by one round.

Isme |

Isme continues staring at the bat, dragging it down with the weight of her curse. Her cackle echoes through the room.
Evil Eye (-2 attack) on the bat, 8 rounds, DC 17 Will reduces to 1 round. Cackle to extend Misfortune and Evil Eye (-2 AC,-2 attack) by one round.

Spectrum |

Annoyed at the creature's resilience, Spectrum resorted to more precise tactics. he stepped back an unleashed a barrage of multicolored bolts.
5' adjust back
Magic Missile: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (4, 4, 2) + 3 = 13

GM Arkwright |

Spectrum's blow finally fells the creature.
After some moments of recovery, you spot the remains of three men scattered around the cave.
Some equipment remains on the third body. 356gp in gold, adamantium longsword, hat of disguise

Isme |

Knowledge (local) {take 10}: 10 + 11 = 21
Isme's eyes linger on the third body and points it out. "Some good equipment there. That's also Shaz 'Redshiv' Bilger and he's a bounty of a good amount of coin on him. Might be worth it to bring proof of his death back."

Marshal, Wyam |

Wyam took a moment to catch his breath after the beast had fallen. He'd lost a fair amount of blood and took the break in the fighting to tend to his wounds.
As Isme examined the corpses and identified the equipment, Wyam's adrenaline started to wear off and he found himself feeling faint from the loss of blood. The pain from the dozens of scratches of the crows outside, the ghostly fire trap, the bites and claws from the day were adding up.
"Not sure... how much more I... can handle. " he said more to himself than to the others.
"I was wrong, this wasn't the right way. The corpse isn't going anywhere... hopefully. The bat would have attacked the Revenant. We should go back and check another way."

Spectrum |

Spectrum handed the Adamantine sword to Wyam without a word. He eyed the hat for a moment and Said "This does not seem terribly useful to us. It allows the wearer to disguise themselves."

Glimmer |

The little dragon snatched the hat and crawled half way inside it head first, trying to figure out some way of wearing it. Once she had it hilariously stretched over her face she hissed triumphantly.
"PURPLE!"
She tried to look at herself but the hat was covering her eyes.
"Am I purple?"

Isme |

"Yes," Isme says, not even looking at Glimmer.
She turns to look at Wyam then flaps on his shoulder before trilling a long comforting birdsong.
Cure Moderate Wounds: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (1, 4) + 5 = 10
Cure Moderate Wounds: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (5, 8) + 5 = 18
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Marshal, Wyam |

Wyam took the adamantium long sword from Spectrum. Eyeing it as Glimmer and Spectrum conversed about the hat.
"Heh heh." he chuckled at the tiny dragon's antics.
Isme then flew over Wyam and began a lulling bird song. By the time she was done, Wyam looked about as ready as though he'd started the day fresh.
I'd completely forgotten you had healing magic on hand, Isme.
"You have my thanks, Isme. I'd largely forgotten about the nature of song healing magic. It feels different but in the end it all turns out the same."
Strength fully returned to his body he took a few test swings with the obviously superior weapon.
"Alright, let's head back to the forking path."

Glimmer |

Full sized humanoids? Or just ones within one size category of her?
The effect also mentions it can be used to make cosmetic changes as well, like changing the appearance of clothing and things like that. Could it be used to change her coloration?

Marshal, Wyam |

Wyam hustles his way back toward the intersecting tunnels and decides to to follow along the older western tunnel.
The western tunnel then.
