Authion recognizes a dire-tiger that seems to have been touched by the fey. I'll roll K Nature for you on the man- 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20 He also recognizes a Bogeyman, a dangerous and evil fey bred to create fear in others.

A loud roar from the far side of the tunnel indicates that, yes, the Linnorm is still out there.

Jensel through a mixture of cries and clacks tries to speak with the immense dire bear; the silver-eyed creature opens its jaw and the word LEAVE emanates forth in a haunting pitch.

There isn't much for Tathlan to do than to begin backing out of the cave with his group. He certainly can't take on a small zoo of giant animals himself.

Hopefully the others realize that if they turn to leave and face the dragon-creature, this strange man and his pets will be able to attack them from behind.

Map updated.

Boogeyman demands that you all be out of the cave within four rounds. By your estimate, in another two rounds the Linnorm will circle back and belch fire down the cave at you; you'll probably want to be out by then.

Senna 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Authion 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
I'll roll init for the enemy in a round or two.

I didn't move my character from last round so I'm not sure we're exactly in those spots. I figured we were moving together (roughly). Based on that...

Alrighty gents, let's do this. Round 3 go.

Init Linnorm 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Init O 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

With a titanic roar, the mighty Linnorm comes into view. Authion fires a shot but the dragon-creature scornfully laughs smoke as the adhesive scrapes off of its scales auto-passes the reflex DC. It whips through the air before falling to the ground gracefully, whipping its way around Senna. Mouth raised, it launches a line of red-hot magma straight at Tathlan and Authion, scorching them.
DC 24 Reflex to halve 15d8 ⇒ (3, 6, 2, 2, 3, 2, 3, 6, 2, 1, 6, 4, 2, 2, 6) = 50 fire damage.

It turns a green eye to Senna, shining with a challenge.

Order: Linnorm, Party, O. This creature does have reach. Senna/anyone else who can, roll K Arcana.

Just to clarify, the tangleshot arrow still made the linnorm Entangled, correct? The Reflex was simply to not be glued in place.

reflex: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21; ouch.

”Dwin!” Authion yells through the fiery pain, ”Flank!”

His bow hits the ground as he draws out his blade and utters a quick word of power. The linnorm becomes as familiar to him as the hated giants, and after delaying the few heartbeats necessary for Dwin to get into position and attack, the hunter retaliates.

The elf fights through the pain, knowing the next attack from the linnorm will likely kill him.

Command Dwin to flank, and Delay.
Dwin 5’ steps left (on the map) into flanking, then full attack. Rolls include flank, favored enemy and Haste.

Dwin rolls:

Seeing Authion's plight, Senna realises the importance of giving the linnorm more targets rather than fewer... and the challenge in the monster's eyes just rankles her. Rebuffing the challenge, she deftly casts a spell right beneath the creature's nose. Suddenly, there are six Senna's in place of one. Then she draws the rod from her bandolier and waggles it at the dragon-kin as if it were a deadly weapon and issues her own challenge in draconic. "Fly off, cousin. The linnorm's eye raises in a smirk at Senna; any threat from the gesture is obliterated as Haldern descends upon the creature like the wrath of his god, shattering its scales with his lance as he penetrates deep. Jensal similarly claws and bites deep into its hide. Tathlan's bolts similarly dig deep, nearly tearing the great dragon's guts out with each meaty collision. The creature lives on however, barely.

Yep, everyone sees Tathlan get attacked. You can even roughly guess what squares they're in; the ones north and adjacent to Tathlan.

Haldern, I just remembered that Jensel's smite doesn't breach DR, so let me see...

The Linnorm survives the griffins blows, teeth curling as its flesh slowly knits together regeneration.

The flame blasts over Authion—who’d spent every last bit of his energy trying to kill the hated foe—and the elf crumples, a charred, ashen corpse completely devoid of life.

17 damage takes Authion to -13 … one below his negative Constitution score. He be dead. Like … dead dead.

And I guess Dwin is still active. Do you want me to run Dwin, Arkwright? Or do you want to treat him as an NPC for now? (I’m not aware that this crew has a way of Breath of Life-ing or Resurrecting mid-combat.

The linnorm grins a scaly grin as it manages to burn the elven archer to ashes; its face is shattered by Haldern's lance, digging deep into the creature's skull and chest. With a horrible wracking scream, its spirit departs this plane.

Still smoking and covered in liquid hot magma from the Linnorm, Senna's spell of quickness is the only thing that saves Tathlan from being stabbed to death by invisible assailants.
