And so it begins!
First Seeker Elsebo Luwazi clears her throat and makes an announcement to all of the gathered Starfinders as they slowly trickle in. “Starfinders, we stand at the precipice of momentous history, and I want to thank you all for making it possible for us to be here today. The Starfinder Society has spent the last year recovering from the Scoured Stars incident, our greatest defeat in recent history. We are finally ready to return to the Scoured Stars, find out what happened to our missing colleagues and friends, and rescue any survivors we can find. Report to your stations and lend your assistance to our fleet by performing the final preparatory tasks. More instructions will come shortly.”
Table GM's. You are good to go on the introductions and preparation.

After a long voyage through the Drift, the bulk of the Starfinder fleet has arrived at the outer reaches of the Scoured Stars system. Several immense carriers form the core of the fleet and contain docked transport ships, fighter craft, and scout vessels.
Each of the stored ships contains armor, weapons, provisions, and other equipment. There is an almost palpable feeling of tension and excitement as hundreds of Starfinders aboard the central carriers prepare themselves for the mission. Ahead, a shimmering veil of golden energy conceals the three stars known to be within.
Venture-Captain Naiaj, a no-nonsense bleachling gnome, approaches with a datapad in hand. “Do you have all your gear? Are you ready? Good. Now let’s help our fleet get ready for the final journey into the Scoured Stars. But first, tell me your names and what special training you have so we can assign an appropriate task for you to assist with.”
The ship has a very vast supply stock, so any last minute things you want to buy can be bought now - there is also a possibility that there might be a chance of you guys at some point having access to the supply stock at some later point in the scenario once more
This is also the part in the adventure where you finalize the boons you will be slotting for the duration on this scenario. If anyone would have had the First Skirmish boon from Starfinder Society Scenario #1–13: On the Trail of History that they could have sloted this boon as a Starship boon for this scenario to receive a bonus at some point in the scenario. But it's a level 3-6 scenario and I don't think anyone here is above lvl 2 so I don't think anyone here would have the boon

![]() |

The ship you are aboard on right now as it's flying through the drift on your way to your destination is a large carrier
Most of the Starfinder Society's current leadership is also aboard this vessel and is handing out some last minute tasks that need to be taken care of which Venture-Captain Naiaj directs you towards to keep you from sitting around twiddling your thumbs
You can earn (small) rewards with these tasks. Rewards will be better the better you perform the task(s). You can attempt the checks individually, or you can use the aid another action, provided that all of you are using the same skill. Unless otherwise mentioned, using a reward gained from a preparatory task is a free action. If a reward gives a bonus to a check or otherwise affects a check, you must declare the use of that reward before rolling. These rewards apply to the group, and the group must agree to use the bonus before a you can gain the benefits.

Historia-7 needs some help with the diagnostics at the science station on the bridge L1
Venture-Captain Naiaj needs some help in the hangar bay L8 checking all the ships engines.
Radaszam, leader of the Acquisitives, requires your assistance in the cargo bay L3 to go over all the equipment stores there (weapons, armor, survival gear, medical equipment..everything you need for a large scale operation like this)
Zigvigix, leader of the Exo-Guardians, has an issue with one of the missile tubes in the missile bay L5.
Venture-Captain Arvin on the bridge L1 wants you to try to boost the morale of the crew.
Fitch, leader of the Wayfinders down in the science lab L6 could use some help with the threat analysis of what we will be facing

Hido walks through the halls of the massive ship, a little in awe at the hubbub and commotion going all around him, as well as the momentous mission they are embarking on.
His squat, powerful frame is covered in the beautiful ringwear of his people, engraved bands, forcefields and plates tinted to a dark purple, almost black. From the dents and scratches, observers can tell that the armor is well used. A simple pack and laser rifle are slung on his back.
His helmet less face is typical of his race, especially Korasha. Blunt, square chin, bald head, dark skin and swirling patterns run up his cheeks and across his head.
Hearing the call to help, Hido is immediately inclined to assist Historia or Nalaj first.
Do we need to do the tasks as a group?

![]() |

@Hido, you don't have to do them as a group..but everyone can only roll for each task once..so either try them on your own or as/with an attempt to assist. And if you are not together you can't attempt an assist. and in this case there are 3 lvl of succes you can get..the higher your total die result the better the reward can be
Since there's not much time for this part I'll just give you a bit more info to act on
Hido hearing the call for help goes of to talk to Historia and Nalaj to see how he can be of assistance.
Historia-7, leader of the Dataphiles, shows you the carrier ship’s science station on the bridge (area L1).
“Thank you for your assistance. Once we jump into the Scoured Stars, we will need to scan the system to locate any survivors from the previous expedition. Please check connections and run tests on the ship’s computers to ensure the sensors, comms, and other critical systems are running without glitches.”
Relevant Skills: Computers, Engineering, Perception, or Profession (electrician)
Remember, you can only assist if you use the same skill as the primary roller
While trying to figure out where his help is most needed he excuses himself by saying he's going to get more help and wanders over to the hanger bay (L8) where he spots Venture-Captain Naiaj.
“All right, let’s get to work. See all these ships here? Work with the chief engineer to check the engines of these transports, fighters, and scout ships, and help her make any necessary adjustments.”
Relevant Skills: Engineering, Piloting, or Profession (electrician or maintenance worker)

![]() |

OK, seeing as how I am a lower level than our other mechanic I think I'll probably aid instead of primary here. My dice of late have been horrendous. Have time to post more later today

![]() |

Caught up in the excitement, Vchk stands at the edge of a corridor while he ponders how to best assist the expedition. Golden compound eyes and dark orange chitonous plates peak out from under a set of dull grey ceramic armor plating, expertly fitted and well-worn from use. A simple hunting rifle and a sun-bleached backpack hang casually from one shoulder.
Well, I know a bit about flying. I could assist with the engine inspections. I could also help log the supplies - it's important to know what we have on hand. Or I could head to the science lab - I'd like to know what we're up against.
Vchk relishes the moment of decision, but he doesn't dwell on it too long, as he knows that the expedition is pressed for time. He decides to trot down to the science lab to see if he can lend a hand.
{"Hello. Name's Vchk, but you can call me 'Vee'. Can I lend anybody a hand down here?"}
Vchk is not the strongest when it comes to skills, but he can assist on potential Life Science, Medicine, or Survival checks.

Vandor looks dubiously at the job board and sighs. "And here I thought they might at least let us relax before sending us off on this fool's errand. All right, if morale is the issue then Arvin probably could use my help. Just seeing a veteran agent like myself on the bridge should boost spirits around here a bit." He looks over at the other Starfinders in his group "You guys look like you could use a hand, the hangar and the science station are on the way to the bridge we might as well get as many of these done together as we can. Then maybe we'll have time for a drink and a game of cards or something."
We should decide who and what we are rolling for these tasks. Vandor can assist in computers, engineering and piloting rolls.

![]() |

I'll just give you all the info on all the tasks at once and you can sort out who's going to roll what
You already know what to do for Historia-7 and Venture-Captain Naiaj. The others are;
Radaszam, leader of the Acquisitives, waits for you in the cargo bay (area L3).
“As you’ve probably surmised, things might get hairy once we’re in the Scoured Stars. Ain’t no glamor in this task, but it’s important—check these weapons, armor, medical supplies, and survival gear, and replace any faulty gear so we all might just make it back home alive.”
Relevant Skills: Engineering, Medicine, Perception, or Survival
You meet with Zigvigix, leader of the Exo-Guardians, in the missile bay (area L5).
“Hey! Thanks for showing up! I’ve got a special mission just for you! See those missile tubes? I need them checked to make sure that there’s nothing obstructing missiles from being launched, so could you climb or crawl in and have a look? I’m pretty sure it’s safe and we won’t accidentally fire you into space!”
Relevant Skills: Acrobatics, Athletics, or Profession (maintenance worker)
Venture-Captain Arvin briefs you in the access corridor just outside the bridge (area L1).
“Many Starfinders, especially newer recruits, fear what might await us in the Scoured Stars. Talk to your colleagues and see if you can lift their spirits. You have my permission to be creative—pep talks, jokes, or playing some music through the comm system are each valid options.”
Relevant Skills: Bluff, Diplomacy, Profession (any relevant Profession skill), Sense Motive
Her nose and whiskers twitching, Fitch, leader of the Wayfinders, reads something on a large screen in the science lab (area L6) while her children operate other consoles and devices.
“Hey, can you help me with something? What we have here is a database built from references to creatures in travelers’ logs and fragments of communication signals that were sent from the Scoured Stars before the force field appeared. Sift through the info and take notes on what kind of threats we might face.”
Fitch then pats one of her nearby children on the shoulder.
“See this red guy here, Kirkath? Your notes should be: This is a balor demon, if you see one… RUN!”
Relevant Skills: Engineering, Life Science, or Mysticism

![]() |

A quick look at our group suggests that Engineering and Diplomacy or Bluff will be the go-to skills for all of the aspects of this challenge - except for one:
{"Gee, I would love to help! Just let me take a minute to remove all these bulky environmental protections I'm wearing, and then I'm climb into the tube that definitely won't fire me into space!"}
Vchk takes about a minute and a half (16 rounds) to remove his heavy armor before leaping up into the torpedo tube.

If complete BS is what's needed, Vandor is your man
Bluff, Skill Expertise: 1d20 + 8 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 8 + (4) = 14
Seriously, a two!? *facepalm*
Vandor slaps Venture-Captain Arvin on the shoulder when he sees him and exclaims, "Arvin! You old dog, you look tired. Why don't you just take a break and leave troop morale to your old pal Vandor!"
Vandor struts onto the bridge and practically pushes the communications officer out of his chair and opens up ship wide communications...
"Attention crew, this is agent Vandor Draak speaking from the bridge. I just wanted to tell you about a restaurant I ate at last time I was on Eox, yeah, the food was good but the ATMOSPHERE was terrible!!
Haha, but no really. Actually, it's come to my attention that some of you may be feeling afraid of what's before us. Many of you fear we may face the same fate as those who went before us, and were never seen again. Well, I just want you all to know that there is nothing to be afraid of, because this time the Starfinder Society has one thing they didn't have before... me.
Some of us have family on the other side, of that barrier, myself included, or maybe a lost friend or colleague, and now we finally are going to bring them home. The way ahead may be dangerous are hard to follow, but we will find the path that will lead us to victory. Ha! Maybe they should have called us "Pathfinders" instead of "Starfinders".
But seriously, I'm absolutely confident that our leadership wouldn't send us in there if they didn't know exactly what they were doing. AND just as a show of good will, Venture-Captain Arvin has kindly agreed to buy a round for every recruit on the ship in the mess hall tonight. Domestic only. So everyone come on out tonight and have a few on the VC. Vandor out."
Getting up from the chair Vandor says "Well, this should get interesting., he rushes back into the corridor and says to the group "Well that takes care of morale, now let's get out of here before Arvin finds me."

Just to keep moving I'll roll aids for what I assume is Twitch rolling a better primary for, looks like primarily engineering. Too bad you rolled bluff, I could have aided diplomacy
Hido bounces from Starfinder to Starfinder, happily assisting in checking all types of equipment and mechanical systems, at home amongst the various machinery and computer systems. Seeing a few instances where other skills were needed, he was sad to note he couldn't be much help.
Even so, the stocky Lashunta was quite tired after the busy preparation work, only briefly able to introduce himself to any and every sentient he worked with.
Aid, engineering L1: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
Aid Engineering L8: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Aid engineering L3: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Aid Engineering L6: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
Unless this is one of those "use a different skill each time" deals

![]() |

@Hido; You can use any of the skills listed after the task. The only stipulation is that everyone attempting the same task (so primary+aid attempts) use the same skill. And only one attempt per task can be made
Also, you can try to assist on the bluff Vandor Made. Bluff is a skill that can be used untrained. You might need to roll higher then when you had to get to use diplomacy..but there's nothing stopping you from making the attempt (same goes for Vchk's acrobatics btw)
I'll wait to see if anyone else joins in on the tasks and then let you guys know what your result(s) will be
Summary so far:
Zigvigix :VChk; Acrobatics 24 - Vandor tried to assist but ended up stumbling around too much to be of help
Arvin: Vandoor; Bluff 14

![]() |

After Vandor's speech Hido tried to assist him by clapping, laughing and letting out a whoop at the end in regards to free drinks, hoping to rouse some support to his encouraging words.
Aid Bluff: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20

![]() |

Since it can't get any better I'll resolve the missile tube cleaning now and I'll post the rest of the results tomorrow
Unobstructed by his bulky armor Vchk crawls around through various missile tubes, most seem clear but in one of them he discovers what seems to be the nest of some giant space hamsters. A good thing it was discovered or something could have gone horrible wrong with the missile that would have been launched from that particular tube
"Well done, well done indeed. Nice find that was..it was going to be loaded with a new experimental missile"
You've earned: select any one successful starship weapon attack to count as a critical hit if it hits, even if the die result isn’t a natural 20.

Twitch stands around listening to the Venture Captain speak and plucking at bits of his fur that bear scorch marks. "This sounds like it will either be a death trap or quite the story to tell upon our return." He then hurries off to the the hanger bay to lend his aid in checking ship engines.
Upon his arrival at the hanger bay he immediately leaps into action and begins pawing his way through an open engine.

Suddenly, every screen aboard the Starfinder fleet switches to show nominated First Seeker Luwazi Elsebo standing next to a golden obelisk about two feet in height. Behind her, a large observatory window showcases the Godshield, a shimmering force field surrounding the Scoured Stars system. Luwazi Elsebo slowly lifts her eyes from the artifact and addresses the Society.
“Starfinders, this is the Tear, an ancient artifact some of our most skilled agents recovered during a recent mission. The Tear is our key back to the Scoured Stars—our key to liberating those who were lost a year ago. We are ready, so let’s not waste any more time.”
Luwazi Elsebo speaks a few words in an alien language and the artifact start humming softly. She then traces her finger along the artifact’s surface, and a set of glowing runes appear around the obelisk. The golden field surrounding the Scoured Stars starts twisting upon itself, and massive gashes appear as the force field starts tearing itself apart. As the final shreds of the shimmering field evaporate, Elsebo speaks: “It is time. Good luck, Starfinders. Fleet—activate Drift engines! Go!”
One by one, the ships of the fleet pierce the veil between the Material Plane and others, splashing through space like it was water, and then vanish into the swirling depths of the Drift.
*****
Whisked away through the Drift, the Starfinder Society fleet spreads across the three solar systems that form the Scoured Stars. The ships begin scanning the planets, asteroids, and other objects orbiting the three distinct stars. The fleet’s long-range sensors soon start picking up communication signals, energy signatures, and signs of life. After a quick analysis, the Society has identified a few locations where information on the lost Starfinders is most likely to be found. After nearly a year of waiting, the search for survivors can begin!
Table GM’s conclude your preparation phase and you are now set to start Part 1.

![]() |

First to conclude what you got for helping out around the ship
Vchk hears Vandor make a ship wide announcement over the ships intercom which seems to lift the spirits of the people around him a little bit..not enough to have them cheerfully rush into the fray..but they seem less down about having to go into what could very well be a war zone.
As Hido joins in with some clapping he can notice that the people he's standing near get caught up in the spirit and they seem to start to smile...the promise of free drinks helps a lot to lift the "spirits" around here
The overall morale improves, and you can rely on your allies to help you when the going gets rough. Once during the adventure, the group can gain the benefit of aid another (+2 bonus) to all skill checks and attack rolls for 1 round.
-----------------------
Twitch starts going through engines..and finds out that this ship has a real giant space hamster problem as he picks out an entire nest from one of the exhaust pipes. With the help of Hido they go through the entire fleet in no time flat
Thankful for the help, the chief engineer installs a special boost switch in your ship. Once during the adventure, you can flip the switch to force the crew of an enemy ship to take a –2 penalty to all Engineering and Piloting checks made during the round. The use of this ability must be declared at the start of the
starship combat round
----------------------------------------------
Hido with some help from Twitch go around the rest of the carrier to fix various odds and ends
Twitch would get pretty high rolls for every engineering check so even if I use the minimum you'd still end up with some nice rewards
Radaszam thanks the you for your help. Once during the adventure, each PC can requisition a weapon with an item level up to the PC’s level +1 for the duration of one mission.
The group must use this ability prior to starting a new encounter, and this ability cannot be used during Part 4. The weapon comes with a fully charged battery or full magazine. You can also requisition a single consumable item with an item level equal to the PC’s level. These consumables cannot have permanent effects, and PCs who do not use them during the course of the scenario must return them at the end of the adventure.
Thankful for the assistance, Historia-7 shares a priority code that allows you to divert CPU power from a carrier to your starship, granting you a +4 bonus to any one Computers check during starship combat. Alternatively, a PC can use this code on a ground mission, allowing that PC to count as being trained in Computers for one check.
Alternatively when a PC fails a Computers check, they may activate the reward to reroll the check with a +4 bonus.
Or they can roll twice on the Computers check, take the better result and add a +4 bonus to it.
Going through the information on the threat analysis gives the you a good idea of what type of monsters you might face: misshapen abominations, carnivorous plants, dead things, megafauna, robots, terrible extraplanar beings, and worse. You can reroll one check to recall knowledge about any creature they encounter within the Scoured Stars.

![]() |

The Starfinder Society’s fleet has identified five locations where clues about the whereabouts of surviving Starfinders are most likely to be found
And remember; if things get to hot for you to handle..you can always call for an emergency extraction
R-TEP represents an option to opt out of an ongoing encounter using special communication channels to call a specialized transport ship. Activating the R-TEP does not take an action, but the transport doesn’t arrive until 1 round later, which means the PCs must survive for another round before they get out. When the ship arrives, the
party is immediately removed from the encounter. Dead and unconscious characters (and any gear in the same square as the character) are also extracted— and if dying are stabilized. The ongoing mission is aborted, and the Table GM doesn’t report a success to the Overseer GM, but the table may immediately start a new mission.
Admitting defeat and using the Society’s limited resources for extraction is stressful for the PCs, and as a result, each PC at the table must spend 1 Resolve Point when they activate the R-TEP. If a PC does not possess the necessary Resolve Points to afford this option, then another PC at the table must agree to spend an additional Resolve Point to cover them. If the PCs do not have enough RP amongst them to engage the R-TEP, then they must
continue with the encounter
This will also be used to move you guys to next parts of the scenario if you are still in an encounter when we move forward - that option will not cost resolve

Happy to have successfully helped on so many necessary tasks, Hido listens to the broadcast. Even as a relative newcomer to the Starfinders he cant but help feel the thrill of the massive task.
Looking over the mission parameters the mechanic lights up at the mention of poking around a starship graveyard.
graveyard is my first choice

![]() |

Vchk is also feeling excited about the enormity of both the challenge before them and the might of the Starfinder armada. Looking at the mission briefings, he notes that Agillae-2 (Planet of the Dinosaurs) may suit his skill set best, but his squad might be more adept at some of the more technological or social-oriented challenges.
The Survival-based mission may be the most difficult, so we should either tackle it first to get it out of the way or leave it for last in case we need to skip one. How ambitious are we feeling? I'm down with anything.

![]() |

Twitch looks over at Hido with the same sense of excitement at the mention of a starship graveyard. "Would you all mind terribly if we started there? We might just find ourselves some useful items for use later on during this mission."

![]() |

I see 2 people for the graveyard and one for the planet of dinosaurs right now. Since we do have a time restrained I'll go with the majority and go for the graveyard right now. You guys can discus what order you want to do the other missions (let's assume you'll have time to do some of the others after this ;)

![]() |

Historia-7, leader of the Dataphiles, briefs you on this mission.
Plugged into a nearby communication station, the Historia-7’s eyes blink rapidly as she collates data from many teams across the Starfinder fleet. She snaps out of her technological trance and fully opens her eyes.
“Greetings, Starfinders. I have assigned your team to a mission on Agillae-5. Our scans indicate that many Starfinder starships from the previous expedition crash-landed on the same spot on the planet, forming an enormous concentration of wreckage that spreads out for miles on the otherwise barren planet. Investigate the ships, locate any survivors, and retrieve any useful data from the ships. We don’t know what caused so many ships to crash-land on the planet, so exercise caution during the investigation.”
You guys prepare for your investigation and board your dropship
As you start your descend towards Agillea-5 you receive an incoming transmission from Venture-Captain Whiskan as soon as you open the channel you hear a distressed voice over a garbled line
" *** go back! There are gravitational anomalies here *** _arn you..go back while you still ca_ *** "
before the communication get's cut off and your ship starts to shake

![]() |

Since it would be very slow in a pbp to do this round by round I'll give you all the skills and you guys can roll them in order and we'll tally the results tomorrow
Mechanically you can do a bunch of skill checks going down towards the planet. I'll list what skills you can use for each part. You guys can try a check yourself or aid someone using that skill. Each succes on a separate skill counts towards the overall total, not every succes you guys get (so succeeding on engineering 3 times = 1 succes while succeeding on engineering once and perception once = 2 successes. Some skills might be easier to succeed on then others

The ship’s computer issues the following message: “Landing gear functioning at 50%. Collision imminent, brace for impact.

Having spent most of the time on the ship locked in his room, furiously typing away at his latest holonovel, Ceolor completely misses the call of the faction leaders to help out about the ship and only emerges bleary eyed form the dim room when the jump to the drift breaks his concentration. "Wait we're jumping again? What are we doing?" After a second he realizes the rest of the team around him has jumped into action and is already starting to analyze and decode the warning signal.
Analyse the incoming communication
Some adrenaline pumping through his system, Ceolor replays the warning in his mind.

"Hmm, I think I can fill in those missing words."
The ship’s sensors indicate nearby gravitational anomalies, and the ship starts gently shaking.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Ceolor stays so engrossed in the message that he misses the reactions of the ship.
The ship starts shaking uncontrollably and barely responds to controls
Ceolor finally gets an idea of what is going on though as the shaking gets worse. He jumps up and rushes to the controls of the ship to try and help Vchk and Vandor.

The ship’s engines stop working altogether, and the ship starts rapidly losing altitude.
Ceolor gives a small Desnian gesture of luck and protection, muttering a short prayer, before tryign to help wrench the controls the way they are supposed to go.

Celon recognizes Venture-Captain Whiskan as a senior Starfinder who was lost during the original Scoured Stars incident
You manage realizes that the sensor scan data must be false and can you calculate more accurate navigational information.
Twitch can implement a quick fix that momentarily stabilizes the ship while Hido realizes a virus is interfering with the controls and can write a script on the fly that allows limited access to the hijacked systems. This allows Vchk to steer the ship—albeit with great difficulty
Twitch can manually activate some of the thrusters to decelerate, which turns out to be a good thing because Vchk can't get a good grip on the ship.
It's a rough landing but Vchk saw it coming - being at the controls and all and manages to steady himself on landing as does Vandor and Celor...Twitch and Hido fall over, but quickly get up again
You guys have enough success to get the best result
You manage to land safely and soundly, not damaging your ship or yourselves in the process.

You manage to land safely and soundly, not damaging your ship or yourselves in the process.
"I'm not sure how we pulled that off, but I am grateful. It would be very embarrassing to lose a ship within the first hour of our assignment."
..you look outside and see the starship graveyard complex and discover that some of the starships have fused together to form interlinked complexes across the surface of the world.
"That... that doesn't look like a starship graveyard. That looks more like a sharship.. upcycling project?"
Vchk ensures his environmental seals and functioning and that his rifle is loaded before preparing to disembark.

Shortly after exiting your ship you spot a few (3) humanoid forms in the distance. Focusing in on them you notice they are wearing uniforms with the Starfinder Society's logo on them. Two of them are wielding tactical semi-auto pistol and survival knives, the last one is a bit bulkier and is wielding a pulsecaster pistol and a tactical baton.
They stare at you for a moment and then attack, their mouths opened in silent screams but not producing any sounds.

If you really want to do something after someone else has done something put in a comment saying I'll ready for when X does this/Y happens - and post relevant die rolls in a spoiler block so we can fit them in when they happen

Life Science check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
"{Well, they appear to be humans. Still, I've never seen a human do that before."}
Vchk moves up slightly, drawing his rifle as he does so (move action). He points the gun at the approaching "humans", but hesitates.
They look like Starfinders. What if this is just a big miscommunication?
Vchk will hold his standard action to attack the first enemy who attempts a ranged attack against Vchk or one of his allies.
Rifle Damage (P): 1d8 ⇒ 7
Vchk will also spend his reaction to use the Bodyguard feat to protect an adjacent ally if applicable.

Hido readies his rifle and watches the newcomers carefully, warming up his targetting computer on his exocortex for instant action, should these "humans" turn hostile.
While watching he communicates telepathically with the whole group.
They look hostile, but they are wearing starfinder gear. Anyone have a silver tongue?
Still, he sets himself ready for hostilities.
Holding for enemy hostile action. Will use Move to Target, and Standard to shoot the first enemy who makes an attack against us

Ceolor cocks an eyebrow at the unusual appearances of the men, but decides to give them a chance before anybody does something stupid.
Without anything in hand he waves at the men. "Oh, hello there! You all must be shocked, but you can close your mouths. Yes we're Starfinders and, more importantly, we're here to rescue you! Now just put down the weapons and let's talk. I'd love to hear your stories about this place!"

Hido sets his exo cortex to track the closest threat and then readies to attack the first thing to attack his party
Rules wise you can only ready one standard action and you can't delay until someone else actions have started so you'd need to split up your action
Vchk readies his rifle to shoot at anyone attempting to shoot at him or his party ..or if needed to put his body between an attacker and his party
Twitch sets his reticle in place and takes aim at this nearest enemy
Ceolor tries to talk his way out of this..but he doesn't get any response at all other then that all 3 heads turn to to face him now
Ceolor waits to see what happens
The slightly better armed starfinder moves forward in a sort of shuffling motion and raises his pulsecaster pistol which causes Vchk, Hido and Twitch to unload at him
Vchk attack cause some small scorch mark on the ground a few feet away from his target
While Hido's attack results in a similar hole in the ground a few feet behind that

Also to make it a bit easier on me to know if you guys hit or not, could you include if you aim for EAC or KAC with your attacks? I can figure it out but it takes more time. Including what type of damage you're doing would also be nice. There might be some opponents where doing non-lethal/fire/acid/blunt/magic/etc damage might matter

![]() |

Backtracking a bit...
Vandor picks himself up off the deck of the engine room floor feeling all over his body. "I'm... okay..., I'm alive. I'M ALIVE! Ha! I told you guys we'd be fine! Just a little turbulence, nothing to worry about I said. Right?!" he grabs the nearby Ceolor and embraces him "We're alive!...wait, who are you? Have you been here this whole time?"
Vandor draws his pistol and disembarks with the rest of the crew. Looking around he comments "Wow, love what they've done with the place here, we could have gone to a beach resort on Castrovel, but no this is much better, keep your eyes open for a gift shop, I always buy a shot glass, everywhere I go..." his jabbering trails off as he notices the survivors.
"Hey, survivors! Mission accomplished guys, hello promotions!" As the strange Starfinders begin to scream silently he says "Look, they're so happy to see us they're speechless. That's what genuine gratitude looks like fellas..." then the shooting begins, cursing Vandor scrambles to the nearest cover he sees (that thing in the middle of the area on the map not sure what it is ) and uses Not In The Face against the pink Starfinder.
NOT IN THE FACE (EX) (1ST): As a move action, Vandor can choose one enemy within 60 feet. That enemy must succeed at a Will save or take a –4 penalty to all attacks it makes against him until the end of his next turn

@Vandor; I also have no clue what that thing in the middle is...the dilitum core of a space ship? Let's just call it the thing that provides cover
Thanks for including a spoiler on what Not in the Face does Vandor it's helpful to quickly know what some of the less common stuff does. But for the future it would be nice to include the DC for things you guys do for which I need to roll

Burning
You are on fire. As long as you have this condition, at the start of
your turn each round before you take any actions (or attempt the
Reflex saving throw described below), you take the listed amount
of damage as fire damage (or 1d6 fire damage, if no amount is
listed in the effect that causes burning). Fire damage from
multiple sources that inflict the burning condition is cumulative.
At the end of each round you are burning, you can attempt
a Reflex saving throw to remove this condition. The DC of this
saving throw is equal to 10 + the amount of fire damage you took
this round from the burning condition. If you succeed at this
saving throw, you lose the burning condition. You can attempt
a new saving throw each round you have this condition, and
you receive a +2 bonus for each previous saving throw you’ve
attempted in consecutive rounds.
You can also automatically end this condition by jumping into
enough water to douse yourself. If you don’t have enough water
on hand, you can spend a full action to roll on the ground or
otherwise smother the fire to attempt a new saving throw with
a +4 bonus (plus any bonuses from previously failed consecutive
attempts) to end the condition.
