Hi all!

I thought it might be fun to run a play by post scenario for PFS to begin my journey as a PFS GM. What I'll be looking for is players who are familiar with PFS rules and can help walk me through some of the nuance of registering our game turning in chronicle sheets ect..

A couple things will be high on my wish list for prospective players.
1. you post as often as possible and are not overly critical of either myself or other players
2. You have access to herolab and know who to send me a link to your character
3. You haven't played or spoiled yourself on this scenario.

Other than that all I require is that you present a Pathfinder(society) legal character that limits itself to the following resources:

I'll close up recruitment after I receive 8 or 9 genuine inquiries (of which I'll pick 5-6). If you just want to play a pre-gen that's welcome too. My goal is to finish this scenario b4 May so players/GM can apply PFS credit to their characters b4 Piazocon .

Include your character's class lv. ect.. in the first response and a short reason as to why'd you like play in this Play by post scenario. Remember, though I'm not a new GM: I'm new to both play by post and PFS so be willing to put up with a little frustration and help me along.

Hi, welcome to the ranks of PFS GMs. I don't have any pcs in tier that are free at that moment, long story -serously long story, and while I could create a new level one character I prefer to play level one in repeatable sceneros.

I wanted to thank you for GMing and suggest you PM Hmm aka GMHmm she's the PbP Venture Officer for PFS, she's at a con this weekend, as are a number of the other regular posters on these boards, but she can help you get set up so everything goes well.

She just posted a survey in the Flaxseed Lodge disscussion thread and posting there would probably get her attention pretty quickly, as well as a number of other experienced PbP GMs (Not me I've only GM'd home games years ago- see long story above).

I'm definitely interested, either with this character - a halfling Swashbuckler (Mouser) 1 (I may tweak it a bit before we start play to finalize my starting feat and skills), or with a half-orc Wizard (Conjurer) 1, depending on what best fits the group. It would be the first adventure for either. Like you, I am not new to gaming or to Pathfinder, but I am new to PFS and to play by post - I have played one live PFS scenario at a small local convention, GMed The Silverhex Chronicles for my son's friends at his birthday party, and I am four weeks in to my first PbP game (playing Garduk the Unteachable in Chaosorbit's PFS #2-01: Before the Dawn—Part I The Bloodcove Disguise. I am GMing Reign of Winter for my wife and kids in one of our home games (we just finished book 1, starting book 2 this weekend), so I'm interested to see more of Irrisen.

I do use Hero Lab, and can send you a Dropbox link to the portfolios for either or both characters if you want them.

Any chance you would consider including the Pathfinder Society Field Guide and Pathfinder Society Primer in the permitted materials?

I've never done PFS as a PBP before, but I'm definitely interested! I'm interested in either a dwarven Alchemist or an aasimar Samurai. Both would be starting at level 1.

This cleric of Sarenrae was originally created as an alias for a non-PFS PbP (that I didn't get selected for). I later decided he would be a good fit for my PFS portfolio, as I didn't have a cleric yet.

He is level 1.0.

I would be happy to play him. I also have a Lvl 1.2 Samurai, if needed.

I want to particularly thank Bigguyinblack and Ghost1776 for steering me in the correct direction. It looks like the first thing I will be doing is reviewing the Pathfinder guide to organized play. The second is Private messaging GM Hmm. For now consider yourselves all invited to this scenario!

I have made a campaign page and will be inviting all three of you shortly. I also will be PMing you all with my email shortly. A couple things I want to address. Although it's not required to have herolab for pfs play I would highly recommend it for this scenario (otherwise I will have to make proxies of all non herolab characters in my system this will eat into my time to GM). Also it was pointed out to me that herolab is not enough to qualify for legal Pathfinder play (which I already knew). You must own a hard copy of the sources you're using or a watermarked pdf.

I am going to keep this simple. We all play this game and enjoy it. It's on your honor to own a legal copy of the material you are using. Goodness, knows how much $ I've sunk into this game. However, I wouldn't change a thing!

On to happier things! CrusaderWolf, Jawhar, and Jamir expect an invite and a PM from me sometime today 2/18/17. Instead of waiting for 7-8 players I'm just going to stop recruiting after the first 6 apply. That way we can get the ball rolling a.s.a.p.

In the mean time I highly recommend you guys to interact on the campaign thread about what kind of characters and party balance you want to play ect.. I am just the GM I really don't have a preference as to what you play. I just want the module to be fun and interesting for you all. Also Jamir technically everything that is legal for PFS play is also legal for you guys. I'm just stating my preference of running things from Herolab and the source I listed are ones I already have purchased. Having said that, I just purchased a bunch more sources and both the PFS field guide and PFS primer were added in those packages so yeah go for it!

Lastly if you are new to PFS play by post I highly recommend looking up Painlords post..or just peaking in on an existing play by post thread..O.k. here's hopping we get 3 more payers soon!

I assume given where Jawhar, CrusaderWolf, and Jamir are, we are looking at a subtler 1-2 game? I don't object to playing up if the other three players are higher level though.

All you need to do to join the campaign is post in the discussion and or game play threads discussion and/or gameplay

Please keep in mind I'll need to review if your character is Pathfinder legal before we actually begin play.However, if you want to post something in charter, on the game play thread in the interim; you may comment about being in the city of Kalsgard and having an appointment with Venture-Captain Benarry later that day.

Ok - I'll take the plunge. First time PbPer; long time PFSer. I can bring a number of 1st level Pathfinder Society characters to the mix - I've got an itch to try out a Brawler character, race as of yet undecided. I'd also be interested in trying on an Occultist, if that would fit with the group as well. Consider me down to game. I'll play it by ear to hear if I've been selected. Thanks for the opportunity!

I am interested but I also have no access to herolab. This character is a lvl 2 arcane caster. I haven't played for almost a year but I would like to use this to get back into it. I also have a skill monkey if needed more.

I have played a bit of PFS in-person, though it's been a while. I do have over a year's experience on PbP, but this would be my first time combining them. It looks like you're still down one player, and looking for a skill monkey? I'd be glad to join if you don't mind showing me the ropes of how to combine PFS and PbP. I have a ninja in tier (I believe level 4), but I'd also be happy to build a new character. Thanks, and welcome to the world of GMing!

Baring that you're both fine choices for this scenario (don't worry about not having Herolab two players already seated don't use it; so it won't mater if I have a 3rd).
