Jolis narrowly misses his target, his blade slashing into the table and sending coins flying. Vitranna's spear comes close as well, but her target just manages to avoid it. Grelda strikes true, sending a bugbear tumbling to the ground but not enough to incapacitate him. Miya crosses the room in her fox form and bounds up the stairs to block the way, though it doesn't seem like the bugbears have any interest in running.

Normally I wouldn't complain, but I 'just' missed him the first time and this time my attack was 3 better! Normally I wouldn't try to bring up rules in the middle of the combat, but I've had too many GMs use this one against me...Those who fail their surprise checks are Flatfooted until they finally get to act! That means, if they ALL go last in initiative ALL of them are still flatfooted (still surprized) until we finish attacking again. Now I know that means I might still have missed, but...

Ghost Sound; Will DC15 (Disbelief):
Ghost sound allows you to create a volume of sound that rises, recedes, approaches, or remains at a fixed place. You choose what type of sound ghost sound creates when casting it and cannot thereafter change the sound’s basic character. The volume of sound created depends on your level. You can produce as much noise as four normal humans per caster level (maximum 40 humans). Thus, talking, singing, shouting, walking, marching, or running sounds can be created. The noise a ghost sound spell produces can be virtually any type of sound within the volume limit. A horde of rats running and squeaking is about the same volume as eight humans running and shouting. A roaring lion is equal to the noise from 16 humans, while a roaring dragon is equal to the noise from 32 humans. Anyone who hears a ghost sound receives a Will save to disbelieve. Duration is 1 round per level.
