Looking to the half-orc, Jolis laments.
I thought we were waiting for the skeletons to pass the barrier. Oh well. I'm not gonna let Grelda handle those alone.
The big warrior advances just outside the barrier as the skald has done.
"Come one, come all, you boney bastards!" Jolis shouted as he advanced on the undead army. With lightning-quick practiced skill, Jolis draws his longsword and shield and attacks the skeleton in his sights. In front of him. With a mighty swing, Jolis crumbles a skeleton into a jagged mess.

While Grelda's attack strikes true, Jolis only deals a glancing blow to the bony undead. Even Richard's bullet leaves only a small crack in the skull before ricocheting away.

Half of the undead split off to target Jolis and Grelda, while the rest charge through the center - the ones who were hurt by the trap lagging behind.

The crossbow bolt catches the drow squarely in the shoulder and her bodyguards attempt to reposition to block the next attack. She catches a glimpse of Miya as she moves, but has trouble spotting her in the underbrush. She aims as close as she can and fires a blast of violet light. It explodes next to Miya, and she begins to glow faintly. "I see you, little mouse."

Under the onslaught of undead attacks, Jolis feels a anger rising within him.

Facing only one foe and with most of her allies engaged in melee, Grelda begins to stomp and clash her clubs together, chanting and beginning a song to inspire rage!

Begin raging song to inspire rage. When the skald begins a raging song and at the start of each ally’s turn in which they can hear the raging song, the skald's allies must decide whether to accept or refuse its effects. This is not an action. Unconscious allies automatically accept the song. If accepted, the raging song's effects last for that ally's turn or until the song ends, whichever comes first.

Affected allies gain a +2 morale bonus to Strength and Constitution and a +2 morale bonus on Will saving throws, but also take a –1 penalty to AC. While under the effects of inspired rage, allies other than the skald cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skills (except Acrobatics, Fly, Intimidate, and Ride) or any ability that requires patience or concentration.

Affected allies also gain access to the following rage powers:

Intimidating Glare (Ex) The barbarian can make an Intimidate check against one adjacent foe as a move action. If the barbarian successfully demoralizes her opponent, the foe is shaken for 1d4 rounds + 1 round for every 5 points by which the barbarian’s check exceeds the DC.

Renewed Vigor (Ex) As a standard action once per rage, the barbarian can heal himself for 1d8 + his Con modifier.

5-foot-step north.

Unfortunately for the cleric, she made the deadly mistake of underestimating her opponents. With one last arrow and a final peal of thunder, the drow falls dead. The skeletons do their best to obey her final order, but with no direction or support, they can only shamble ineffectively around the battlefield.

While I would love to play out three more rounds of crit fishing and chasing Lera around in circles, I think it's fair to say you should be able to mop up the fight without any casualties from here. If there are no complaints, I'll give you your loot in my next post.

Sorry guys! My intent was to only stun her long enough for us to defeat her minions. Then force her to surrender for capture. I assumed she had a lot more HPs than that...and that she actually might make a save or two.

It's okay. I wasn't ready for the skeletons to be such a problem, thinking them as just fodder. I assume the cleric juiced them up a bit.

Grelda doesn't stop smashing the skeletons until they all lie in piles at her feet. Only then does she take a moment to calm down, looking around with grim satisfaction. She twirls her bone clubs in her hands before slotting them back on her belt. "Not so tough," she mutters.

Looking to his longsword, Jolis mutters, "Well..it helps when you have clubs."

"Swords make a terrible rhythm. They're all 'splortch, skrrtch, clang.' Clubs are much more pleasing. 'Thud-thud-thud crack! Thud-thud-thud crack!'"

Checking the bodies of the fallen, you see that the drow and her entourage were well equipped. Each skeleton carried a +1 shortword. They each also wore masterwork chainmail, though it appears to have been badly damaged in previous battles (broken condition). The drow carried a heavy, steel shield that acted as her unholy symbol, a masterwork flail, and 600 gp worth of spell component materials. Her armor is a masterwork full plate. She also carries a hand crossbow on her hip, yet only has a single bolt on her person.

As Miya rushes to Richard's aid, she finds one skeleton lying on the stairs to the second floor, the back of its skull blasted open by a gunshot. Continuing up, the finds a second one in a similar state in the lab. A trail of dripping blood leads towards the center of the room, and there is a single bloody hand print on the iron globe. Yet Richard is nowhere to be seen.

Not bad loot. The short swords will come in handy. The full plate is kinda useless for us I think unless Jolis wants to wear female shaped plate-mail? You want a good weapons to destroy skeletons with Jolis, then the MW flail would probably work.

Vitranna casts Detect Magic on all the stuff, just to be sure. Especially the hand crossbow and the single bolt, which is odd.

Maya frantically looks for Richard disregarding all else, then she heads back to the Globe trying to work it to go where he went but nothing.

She comes to the others as they loot and inspect the drow.

"Richard is gone!, some how he activated the globe. I don't have the skill to make it work so I can go help him, anyone can you help me, can you make it work?"

She seems deeply upset and troubled.

Jolis runs up the stair to meet with Miya. The big warrior looks all around the globe for any sign of Richard.
