About Jolis CaileanInitiative: +1
Feat Info: -------
Emergent Divinity Heavens Oracle Mystery Lure of the Heavens (Su): Your connection to the skies above is so strong that your feet barely touch the ground. At 1st level, you no longer leave tracks. At 5th level, you can hover up to 6 inches above the ground or even above liquid surfaces, as if levitating. At 10th level, you gain the ability to fly, as per the spell, for a number of minutes per day equal to your oracle level. This duration does not need to be consecutive, but it must be spent in 1-minute increments. Legendary Beauty I (Ex): Diplomacy and Perform skills are always class skills. The godling gains a bonus equal to half his class level to Diplomacy checks made to make a request of a creature that is at least indifferent toward him (see the Diplomacy skill). Additionally, once per day he may make a Diplomacy check to make a request of a creature that is unfriendly or hostile toward him (though he does not gain the benefit of this trait on such checks, as the targets are not at least indifferent). Each time he uses this ability on a specific creature, it becomes immune to this ability until the godling gains a level.
Skills 4/Level, +1/Skilled, +1/Fast Learner, +2/Background Acrobatics +21 (6 Rank, 3 Class, 4 Str, 3 Physical Avatar, 5 Boots of Elvenkind)
SQ:
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A mighty godling is proficient with all simple and martial weapons; with light, medium, and heavy armor; and with all shields (other than tower shields). Lineage Domain Travel As a result of their divine bloodline, mighty godlings gain access to the powers (though not spells) of a cleric domain. The mighty godling selects his first lineage domain at 1st level, and gains additional lineage domains at 8th and 16th level. Once these domains are selected they cannot be changed. (While the player selects these domains, the mighty godling character gains these as inherent powers with no choice or effort required). Lineage domains need not be the ones the godling’s divine parent grants to clerics—not all godlings have powers related to their parent’s realm of authority. The godling uses his class level for his effective cleric level. A mighty godling uses his Wisdom modifier to determine save DCs and uses/day of all his lineage domain powers. A multiclass cleric/godling who has the same domain from both classes adds the two classes together when determining what granted powers the character has and their effectiveness, but uses only the character’s cleric level to determine what domain spells are gained. ^^^^^^^ Agile Feet (Su) As a free action, you can gain increased mobility for 1 round. For the next round, you ignore all difficult terrain and do not take any penalties for moving through it. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier. ------- Divine Traits Divine traits are special powers a mighty godling gains through his divine heritage. Players may select any divine traits for his character, regardless of the godling’s divine parentage. A godling gains the benefit of all the degrees of a trait he possesses (though in some cases higher degrees make lower degrees superfluous). A godling gains divine trait ranks at 2nd, 6th, 10th, 14th, and 18th levels. The number of ranks gained increases each time, 1 rank at 2nd level, 2 ranks at 6th, and so on. Each time a godling gains divine trait ranks, he may spend them on one or more traits. Raising a trait up one degree costs a number of ranks equal to its new degree, but the godling must buy each degree separately. Thus taking a new trait at degree I costs 1 divine trait rank, while taking a trait a godling already has at degree I to degree III costs 5 ranks (2 ranks to bring it from degree I to degree II, and 3 more ranks to bring it from degree II to degree III). A godling may save unspent ranks if he wishes, but can only spend them when he gains a new level. Once ranks are spent, the trait chosen is permanent and the ranks cannot be regained. ^^^^^^^ Paramortal I: The godling does not need to eat or drink. While the godling may partake if she desires, she suffers no penalties for lack of food or water, and does not suffer starvation or thirst. The godling ages only 1 year for every 2 years that pass. Paramortal II: The godling suffers no penalties from the fatigued condition. A godling that is fatigued and gains the condition again becomes exhausted, as normal. The godling gains darkvision out to 60 feet. A godling that already has darkvisions adds 60 feet to her darkvision’s range. The godling ages only 1 year for every 10 years that pass. ------- Scion Talents As a mighty godling gains experience, he learns a number of talents that aid him and confound his foes. At 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th levels, a mighty godling gains one scion talent. A mighty godling cannot select an individual talent more than once unless the talent states otherwise. ^^^^^^^ Force of Brawn (Su) Your deific heritage manifests in the form of amazing physical might, which allows you to accomplish things through sheer power of sinew rather than mental acuity or natural talent. This brawn also powers a barrier of divine defense which helps protect you from harm. You may add your Str mod, rather than any other ability scores, to your saving throws. (Replace your Con mod with your Str mod for Fort saves, your Dex mod with your Str mod for Ref saves, and your Wis mod with your Str mod for Will saves). You may also use your Strength modifier rather than the normal ability modifier for three Dex– or Cha-based skills of your choice. Once these skills have been selected, the choice cannot be changed. Acrobatics, Diplomacy, and Stealth Retribution (Su): When foes dare to strike your person, which is a vessel for the divine energies that make you a godling, you can call upon those divine energies to strike down the heathens who dare defile your physical perfection. When you are hit by a melee attack, you may make a melee attack at your full attack bonus against the attacker. Alternatively, you may cast a touch or ranged touch spell with a casting time of 1 standard action or less at the attacker. Using this ability counts against your attacks of opportunity for the round, and you cannot use it if some condition or circumstance prevents you from making attacks of opportunity. You may use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your highest ability modifier. Racial Traits +2 to One Ability Score (Str), Medium, Normal Speed, Bonus Feat, Skilled, Languages ------- Traits (Regional) Cosmopolitan, (Religion) Strong Willed and (Social) Charming Drawback Impatient ------- Items Items A cleric's kit (includes an ungraded MW backpack, a bedroll, a belt pouch, candles (10), a cheap holy text, a flint and steel, an iron pot, a mess kit, rope, soap, a spell component pouch, torches (10), trail rations (5 days), a waterskin, and an upgraded silver holy symbol of Cayden Cailean); a bandolier, 3 bottles of absinthe, 1 gallon of mead, a belt of giant strength +2, a aegis of recovery, and boots of elvenkind. Description:
Jolis is a tall, powerfully-built and very handsome human male with taldane features, a godling if there ever was one. The absalomian wears his brown hair short, and his face is currently clean-shaven. He wears a mithral shirt under his clothes for maximum mobility, to deceive opponents, and to take full advantage of his speed.
On his back, Jolis wears a masterwork backpack, often near bursting with treasure and bottles of alcohol; and on his neck, the godling wears a aegis of recovery (great for hangovers) and a silver holy symbol of Cayden Cailean. This often gives others the impression Jolis is a cleric. On his waist, Jolis wears a thick, fine leather belt with symbols of giants wrestling and fighting. On his feet, the absalomian wears exquisite leather boots of elven make. In battle, Jolis draws his Pharasman Longsword of Undead Bane, a grey-steeled blade with Pharasma's swirling symbol on the hilt. The weapon was found in a sea cave during his last adventure, to replace his missing +1 longsword. The godling also wields a beautiful mithral shield with sweeping designs on the front. Jolis also carries a light crossbow to handle distant foes, and keeps two daggers in his elven boots to draw as needed. Personality:
Jolis is every bit as fun-loving and jovial as his exalted father. The warrior is quick with a joke, even in the most dire of times. Yet, when the chips are down and lives are on the line, Jolis rushes headlong into danger to stop a great evil or save lives, much to his own determent. Jolis was hesitant to tell others of his true parentage, for others didn't believe such a claim. Now with several adventures under his belt, and several years away on an uncharted, yet-not-so-deserted island, the godling is eager to grow his legend among the peoples of Golarion. Jolis also likes to flirt with lovely ladies, garnish himself a reputation as a ladies man, again sometimes to his own determent. Recently, Jolis has decided to put some effort in refining his singing voice, once only used to sing tavern shanties. The Legend of Jolis Cailean. Chapter one - You Gotta Start Somewhere..:
Jolis Cailean, "Cayden's Boy", "The Prince of Drunkards", was born in parts unknown, being delivered to the married clerics of Cayden Cailean, Dexion and Barbana Zephorn, in Absolom, in the arms of a lillend one cold evening. Being told of the baby's true parentage, the lillend tasked the Zephorns to raise Jolis as their own, until he was of adventuring age. The boy was raised in the rowdy environment of Cayden's Hall, Absolom's largest tavern dedicated to Cayden Cailean, but with all the love Dexion and Barbana could give. Jolis often helped cleaning and serving drinks to the temple's patrons, eventually learning how to bartend, and keep accurate stock of temple wines and alcohols. When Jolis was about 17, Dexion and Barbana set Jolis down to tell him the truth of his origins, after the temple had closed. As if to emphasis the point, Cayden Cailean himself unlocked the bar door, and joined the two clerics who helped raise his son. Cayden tasked his son to go forth into Golarion and make his own legends, to be a hero the world needs. That night, Jolis changed his surname to Cailean, which didn't set off any fireworks, because back then, many people had the Cailean name. Kissing his foster parents goodbye, Jolis left Absolom for adventure in the wider Golarion. The Legend of Jolis Cailean. Chapter Two - A few Stumbling Steps:
Shortly after making the mainland, Jolis took another voyage on an ill-fortunate ship called The Sister's Grace where he and several passengers barely survived a whirlpool to be shipwrecked on an uncharted island. Jolis lead the survivors to meet with other marooned communities and help them maintain their jungle forts against an unforgiving wilderness. The godling's love life was not dampened by his situation; romancing 3 of his four female party members and fellow survivors of the shipwreck. After several critical battles with jungle warlords and goblin armies, Jolis and his fellow survivors sailed back to the mainland and parted ways. Rumors persist that Jolis may have fathered a half-celestial child with the changeling witch, Valeriya.
Unsure of what wrong-to-right next, Jolis finally decided that his Exalted Father would appreciate it if his godling son would close to Worldwound. So after several months of harrowing travel, including evading Nidal shadow hunters, crossing into paranoid Lastwall and through superstitious Ustalav; Jolis finally made his way into distant Nerosyan in Mendev.
