This is a recruitment thread for a gladiator style battle royale where you will be pitted against the other players in a Player vs. Player style battle. We will start off with 16 players who will go one on one with a randomly chosen combatant in a duel to the death. Winners will advance to the quarter finals and so on until we have two players left who will face off in the Final Bout!
Character Requirements:
25 Point Buy
Level 20
Average HP per level
Gold: 1,000,000
Restricted to Pathfinder Only, no 3PP
Races: Mostly Anything, ask for approval if unsure. Race builder from ARG is out.
Classes: Any Pathfinder
Anything cheesy will be cut
Post your interest, but don't post your crunch to the thread or to your alias, please PM it to me. This will prevent people from designing characters specially designed to destroy their chosen opponent.

Anything Pathfinder, yes. Which leads me to two points that I forgot to mention. If you want to attach a template or two to your character, that's fine as well. But keep one thing in mind, every character must be the same CR rating, which is 19. So if you add the lich template, your two levels lower.
Finally, if you use hero lab, please say so in your PM along with your crunch as I will need you to send me your portfolio file.

Define Cheesy or give an example.
I am sure infinite damage or hit point builds would count as cheesy, but other than that what is cheesy. No I don't know how to do that in Pathfinder. I was just using an example.edit:Will we fight in the same "arena" every time or will the location be random. If it is always the same what are the dimension of the arena?

Define Cheesy? Off the top of my head Drow noble half dragon Lich wizard. Just don't go overly crazy and insane with templates, pretty lax on everything, just make sure to stay as CR 19
edit: Different per match, including dimensions. Some will have a 30 to 60 foot range, some will have 40 to 120 foot range, and some will have random difficult terran and features. I will give the discriptions before each battle as well as basic maps

Should resist, but a level-20 Scarred Witch Doctor is so appealing...
I'll put something together and post soon.
EDIT: I just threw this together really quickly. I love it. I haven't applied any gear or added any spells, but the hexes alone are quite nasty. Add in the massive Con boost and he could be tough to kill. I considered going with the Endurance patron, but the damage goodness from Vengeance is pretty appealing.

Depends on who your against. We've gotten some interesting character so far, everything from glass cannons, to tanks, to damage dealers with way to much AC!
We have about 5 or 6 finished characters so far and I will leave recruitment open until we get 16 or until the end of the week (Saturday Night), whichever comes first.

Final question: Will these bouts be 1/day, or more than once per day? Thinking of resource conservation.
Also, how would we enter the arena? Time for buffs (if so, how much time) or is it no time for buffs?
This is a good question.
I am also going to make a build. I have not done a straight 20 build in a while so I am checking to make sure everything works, and to make sure I get all my options in order. I will be participating though. If casters buff the melee types will be in a lot of trouble. If they don't buff, the casters are in a lot of trouble.
Oh well I am down with whatever decision is made, but I won't present the build until I know so that I can plan accordingly.

I was going to go threw the main rules once we are done recruitment, but I will outline them here.
Once your place in the tournament is determined you will each head to a seperate thread to start the fight. You will then be shown the randomized map of the arena so you can begin to formulate tactics.
Once the fight starts, both combatants will be annouced including race and class. You will then be given a single round (swift, standard and move, as well as free actions) to buff before the gates open and the match starts. This one round will give casters the chance to cast mage armor or barkskin and for martial characters to get whatever they have ready. Any other buffing will need to be done during combat
