Just so you know, you can train the large billista's on the dretches if you desired. They are mounted on a swivel so it is a free action to aim.

Actually, I'm thinking about myself to myself, "You idiot. You stupid, stuipd idiot! Why did you do that?! You know there's no tactical advantage to have moved into melee with two creature's capable of multiple attacks a round. You could just as easily have moved somewhere else. Stupid!"

The moving back and healing sounds good though, so that'll by my next post.

I'm unclear why it was two rounds. His action was to withdraw - and he only gets one action, being staggered. If he was 10 feet off the map, I could catch him in one move action and kill him in one standard action, so it should be one round.

Sorry. The reason its two rounds is because you didn't hit him with that attack. He is AC 18. He then withdrew again, and you would follow him to finish the job.

It swoops down, and prepares to engage your party itself!

I'm sorry to be nit-picky today, as it's not usually my way, but it looks like Seoni made both those saves. What am I missing?


Woops. That's why dice rolls are public. I don't trust myself. Fixed.


Also note that only one of those attacks was on Seoni. The other focused on one of the NPCs.

Rhyno spends any down time helping the ballista crew get ready to fire again. When the giant bee-thing makes its arrival, Rhyno grabs his maul and strikes out at the bee.

Downtime 1 round double move, 1 round move to Seon'i side and help with ballista.

Attack: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (5) + 6 - 1 = 102d6 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 2) + 6 + 3 = 14

And apparently tries to fell the bee with the wind from his mightily misaimed swing.

Bee only has a 5 ft reach, and can only target creatures directly adjacent to it. Do you want to get closer knowing this?

Is seoni still working on the engine, or is it firing? I moved Seoni so she's out of range yet can still be working on the Ballista
