In a blaze of blade swings and fired projectiles, the party ends the final two men!
Out of Comabt
The captain comes over to you. "Well done. What was that whole row about?" Reaching down, he rifles through one of the men's belongings, producing a bronze Apsis badge. He frowns and hands it over. "Well that explains much. Trying to get their hands on the relics, I'd say."
Going through the belongings, you find: studded leather, buckler, composite longbow (+1 Str) with 20 arrows, rapier, sap. (x4) on the fighting men and potions of cure light wounds (2), potion of shield of faith, scrolls of comprehend languages (2), scroll of endure elements, scroll of enlarge person, scroll of grease, scroll of mount, scrolls of shield (2), smokesticks (2) (x2 except the grease)
Now what?

![]() |

Nice loot! I'll take one of the bows, though I'm not sure whether I'll end up using it or not... between +1 to attack or +1 to damage, I think I'd be better off with the bonus to attacks.

Mrachni nods and passes another of the healing draughts over to Belroar.
I'm going to vote we stay in Outer and try to get one more encounter done here.

![]() |

Yeah, there are four longbows, 80 arrows, four CLW (one used and one given to Belroar), two potions of shield of faith (Mrachni will take one), four scrolls of comprehend languages, two scrolls of endure elements, two scrolls of enlarge person, one scroll of grease, two scrolls of mount, four scrolls of shield (Mrachni would like one), and four smokesticks - unless I'm misreading. DM, can you confirm?

![]() |

How about what's next - you good with staying in Outer? The alternative is to go back to Confluence, since it's only had one successful encounter this phase. Either way, let's try to finish one more before the end of the phase, yeah?

![]() |

I will take the potion of shield of faith. Barham is the only arcane caster we have so I would suggest we give him the arcane scrolls. Nicolae isnt too kind in staying out in the open but I dont mind if you guys prefer to stay longer in the Outer.
You sure? Look, there are some very nice walls over there...

There are the items you find during the scenario, and the items you can purchase from the chronicle. Even if the same item appears on your chronicle, you need to buy it to keep it around, regardless of what happened in the scenario.
Thanks for taking the wheel, Mrachni. Looks like Barham has used one wand charge, and one spell, and four bolts in my absence? Barham will take the remaining scrolls, and support staying in our current sector.

GM Tektite |

The party leaves the docks and head off to find more carnage! As you pass by the northeastern gate, Venture-Captain Jorsal rides up, quickly assesses the conflict outside, and hands down a soot-stained parchment. “Friends, I’m glad you’re here. There are still some Pathfinders nearby who weren’t able to make it on time to our gathering. I’ve plotted out their positions on this map, but I need capable agents to go and retrieve them. I have enough mounts to spare. Waste no time.”

![]() |

Oh joy... mounts...
Mrachni groans inwardly at the sight of the horses, but nonetheless mounts up and heads off to find the missing Pathfinders.
Let's do this!

GM Tektite |

Jorsal thanks you and hands off the reins to four horses he was trailing behind him and a roughly drawn map. "You are setting an exemplary example Pathfinders!" Turning and spurring his horse, he rides back into the city.
Riding off to the outlying groups, the party heads for the closest party. In a short amount of time, you see four men walking through a field. Seeing you they wave you down. The leader, a dwarf speaks. "Oy! You a got a horse or four we could borrow? We was attacked by demons and they slew our horses. We're trying to get back to the action!"

![]() |

Belroar reigns in his horse.
"We've been sent to get you and send you back to the city. Venture-Captain Jorsal needs you back there and trust me, there's action. It's back that way." Belroar points back to the city. "We've got a few more groups to get back there to reinforce the city. Sorry we can't spare the mounts"

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Can we/they ride double or something, DM?
Edit: Oh wait! We have scrolls of mount!
