Just woke up, didn;'t have time to catch up yet..but I saw someone mentioned communal resist, energy..so if that's a good action to take...I'll cast it..20 minutes for me, 10 minutes for everyone else..including Kreighton, energy type what Ezren suggested? (or default to fire seeing how they are demons), resist 10
Haily will cast resist energy communal

Both Brimoraks start coughing, then vomit lava in a line!
Brimorak 1 hits Sarion and Hailey.
Sarion: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Hailey: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Damage: 5d6 - 20 ⇒ (1, 5, 1, 1, 6) - 20 = -6
Brimorak 2 hits Aod and Hailey.
Aod: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Hailey: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Damage: 5d6 - 20 ⇒ (5, 4, 6, 2, 1) - 20 = -2

Resist is only 10 at my lvl so I think the damage should be -10 and not -20
So I think I take 4 fire damage and 8 fire damage, for a total of 12 damage. (I assume you rolled our reflex saves (although everyone get's a +1 from being hasted I think), but didn't list a DC so we don't know if we make them or not..I assume Hailey fails twice, but Aod and/or Sarion might make theirs)
Just checking, did Sarion's hasted smite attack happen to kill one of them before he got to attack? (he hit AC 29 and 22 for 27 and 25 damage..so if both hit that's a total of 52 damage..might be enough)
Hailey will move forward and aid Aod on his next attack (for a +2 to hit)
to hit AC 10: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 3 + 1 + 1 = 25

Aod dodges most of the fiend's burning breath and Hailey's magic protects against the rest. With Maidenscorn in two hands, he spins and slashes twice at the demon.
Two-handed Power Attack 1: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19
Damage: 1d10 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18
Haste Two-handed Power Attack 2: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23

The brimoraks fall and the ritual is completed!
Suddenly...
Arriving at breakneck speed, Venture-Captain Jorsal gives a quick nod as he brings his steed to a sudden halt. “The demonic threat within the walls is relatively contained,” he announces, “but we’ve received word of additional demonic reinforcements coming from the Worldwound. We need every able-bodied man and woman on the walls to repel this attack; however, word has reached me that several patrols of crusaders outside of Nerosyan are making their way back to the city. We need some of our more experienced agents outside the walls to defend the crusaders as they return."
“No doubt the demons plan to run down these reinforcements before they can get back within the safety of the walls. We need these crusaders to supplement our own number on the walls, and I can think of none better suited to aid them. Make with all haste to the Woundward gates!”
You make haste towards Woundward. There, you are sent out into the battlefield! Initiative and a map to follow.

![]() |

Hailey will use her wand of cure light on herself to heal some of the damage the lava vomit did to her while moving towards the Woundward gates
Cure light wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
"Is anyone else hurt?
We also still have 2 potions of invisibility and 2 potions of cure light wounds we took of those rogues in the bank. One invis for Aod and Sarion each and give the 2 cure lights to Ezren for safe keeping?

![]() |

You rush out into the battlefield. You easily spot 3 wounded and dying crusaders.
Initiative! (We will be using the same initiative for the remainder of the scenario)
Hailey: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Ezren: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Aod: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Sarion: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
The turn order is:
Aod
Ezren
Sarion
Hailey
If you do not post within a 12 hour period and we are waiting on your move, you'll be considered on delay and can post that move later.
The battlefield rages with hundreds of crusaders battling demons of all shapes and sizes. With every move, please make a perception check to discover the locations of newly injured crusaders.

Ezren, I don't think expeditious retreat can be cast on other characters. But thanks for offering.
Netopalis, I'll take one of the Pathfinder resource options to pick up a cold iron bastard sword.
The siege is beginning to wear on Aod. Each fight saps a little more of his stamina. Maidenscorn drew power from his resolve, and was able to cleave through demons when doing so, but should his determination waver it might lose the edge in a critical moment. Deciding to conserve his strength, and be prepared for an extended fight, he grabs a cold iron weapon from the Pathfinder's supplies.
Once on the battlefield, he draws his wand of healing and begins heading towards the nearest injured Crusader.
"I'll get one."
If using a charge from Aod's wand of cure light wounds will help get the Crusader back on his feet and to safety, he will use it.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

![]() |

I just remembered that Aod has a scroll of expeditious retreat of his own. First round Aod casts that. Round 2 he will spring his wand, cast shield, toss the wand to Ezren and move 60' towards a crusader.
"Take a charge. Won't last as long as one of your own, but protects just as well in the short term."

![]() |

"Aod go for one of the further ones..you have the speed to get to them now."
On my turn Hailey will double move (2*20 ft) towards the closest Crusader (unless something happens before then..in which case I might want to change what I'm doing).
You said a perception check with every move..so double move means 2 checks?
Perception check: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25
Perception check 2: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (12) + 15 = 27

![]() |

Huh, that makes the spell much less versatile.
Ezren focus on drawing the demons away from the injured crusaders and their rescuers, crying out the incantation loudly with an exaggerated gesture as he fires magic missiles at any demon who gets within range.
Hopefully I can take some pressure off of you guys.

![]() |

"Search for more wounded crusaders, and if possible gather them near each other and me."
Just in case my turn comes up again in the next 7-8 hours or so and we are not under attack and I would be the person we are waiting for, if we found more then 4 wounded crusaders within a nice 30ft burst around me I'll move towards a good place to channel and search for more wounded then channel once to heal, otherwise healing one crusader with a wand charge and moving on to search for more.....If we do get attacked by something I might still do that if it makes sense at the time.
Perception check: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30

![]() |

Sarion lowers his center of gravity and runs out into the field, his Tiefling anatomy allowing him to run much faster than he normally could in his heavy armor. He stops by Aod and the two fallen Crusaders, a healing wand snapping from his Spring-Loaded wrist sheath into his hand.
Perception 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

![]() |

"Quicker then you look." Aod chuckles at Sarion, then veers off to the left. "Think Hailey's got those."
"Hailey!" He calls to the priestess. "Sarion and I will round some up more! Wait for us before you channel!"

![]() |

Hailey finds one crusader.
Dice: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Suddenly, a terrifying Babau demon enters the battlefield!
Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Aod casts Shield.
Ezren casts Magic Missile.
SR: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16
Does not defeat the SR.
The Babau charges Hailey!
Attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17
Hits her flat-footed. (I secretly rolled a stealth check earlier to see whether or not her perception would defeat this.)
Damage plus Sneak Attack: 1d6 + 5 + 2d6 ⇒ (4) + 5 + (4, 3) = 16

![]() |

So My next action will indeed be to channel..
Hailey will take a 5ft step away from the scary babau (to the east) and then I am indeed going to use channel to heal, excluding any demons within burst. Should heal me, 4 crusaders (unless they find some more when moving before my turn comes up)
Positive healing: 5d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 2, 2, 3) = 16

Aod charges across the battlefield with his new cold iron bastard sword, imbuing it with arcane power as he attacks the demon.
"I'm comin!"
Charging Power Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
Damage: 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
Arcane point to give the sword a +1 bonus for 2 minutes.
Shield 1/10
AC 22
HP 43/43

Sarion grimaces when he sees the Demon appear. He strides towards the fight, much slower now that he is not running full out, and unable to charge in with Hailey in the way. He stows his wand as he walks.

![]() |

Impressive work! Four crusaders rejoin the battle and offer aid to you all! Three new crusaders have been discovered!
Aid: 4d4 ⇒ (4, 2, 3, 1) = 10
You all heal for healing: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 1) = 4.
One of you (your pick) now has a +1 demon-bane arrow.
One of you now has an oil of align weapon.
The crusader casts dispel magic on the Babau!
Dispel: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
to no effect.
Aod's attack is wide.

![]() |

Sarion moves around behind the Babau, providing a flanking opportunity for Aod. He swings his blade at the demon.
Move, provoking an Attack of Opportunity, Power Attack, Cold Iron Falchion
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
2d4 + 10 ⇒ (1, 3) + 10 = 14
Crit Threat
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
2d4 + 10 ⇒ (3, 3) + 10 = 16

![]() |

I wasn't sure how dangerous this was, but apparently I can't bring any demons to me. I was hoping they would all go "Look! A squishy wizard with nobody protecting him! Get him!" Then I'd wait for them all to flock to me before dimension dooring away. But apparently they just healthily ignore me.

![]() |

"You can deal with this demon for now right? Or do you want me to stick around?"
Assuming nobody tries to stop her Hailey will double move to the closest wounded crusader.
Perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (20) + 15 = 35
Perception 2 if it's one check per move taken: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (7) + 15 = 22
Planning to move back towards the middle of the map next round if I don't get attacked by a demon to try to heal the other 2 crusaders later

![]() |

It's one check per turn.
The demon takes a 5 foot step back and winks out of existence.
Dice: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Suddenly, 3 cultists take note of Ezren and attempt to stop him.
(Hey, you asked for it)
Cultist 1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Cultist 2: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Cultist 3: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
2 of their axes connect handily.
Damage 1: 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Damage 2: 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

![]() |

Hey, as long as I'm keeping them off the party I'm fine with this.
Ezren grunts at the blades, but steps back and throws a multicolored pouch of sand into the air. "Jiekra!" It blasts forward. "Sarion, tend to the wounded, leave me be!"
5 foot step away to avoid casting defensively. Color Spray, DC 16.

![]() |

"Damn." Aod mutters as the demon vanishes. When the cultists rush Ezren he almost joins Sarion, but holds back when the wizard directs him elsewhere.
"I'll try to manage some crowd control." He calls to the others as he steps away from where the demon was, just in case it's hiding, and begins casting a spell.
Perception for fallen crusaders: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Casting Enlarge.

![]() |

Hailey will move a bit to the east and channel positive energy to heal 3 crusaders (maybe more if we happen to find some nearby)
Perception to spot more wounded: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (18) + 15 = 33
Positive healing: 5d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 5, 4, 4) = 18

![]() |

Success! Hailey and Aod save 3 crusaders and spot additional ones!
Sarion connects, cleaving into one of the half-orc cultists!
Will saves vs. Color Spray:
Cultist 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Cultist 2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Cultist 3: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Epic failure! Duration: 1d4 ⇒ 2
They will be blinded and stunned for 2 rounds, then stunned for a third!
Dice: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Suddenly, a fiendish Schir enters the battlefield, breaking through the southern ranks! It attempts to stop Hailey from healing by charging her!
Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28
Damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
The demon finds its mark, but fails to infect Hailey!
