Eramos |
"you lot are paranoid. Not everything is out to kill us." Eramos picks up his greatsword and rest it on his shoulders. He ties off his horse to a nearby tree, making sure he has efficient leeway to get food and water. Then climbs aboard the ferry.
He looks to the others,"You all coming?
Feybella |
"I'm not sure, this is a good idea." She and Wolfie climb aboard the ferry.
Elris the Hawk Eye |
"Seems like you're right Eramos. It doesn't hurt to be a tad paranoid in my experience."
The elf sighs as he makes his way into the ferry, slowly testing his footing and the boat's stability by pressing his leg down 8n a few spots.
Tesi |
The barge barely keeps the weight of the group afloat, you feel the water licking your boots.
The strongest members of the party pull the ropes with frantic rythm.
Within thirty seconds, you arrive to the twin ferryhouse on the other side of the river, safe and sound.
You leave the raft, happy to be on solid ground again.
Roll perception peeps!!
Feybella |
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Percpetion Wolfie: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Faybella carefully looks around when she steps onto the other shore. Wolfie follows.
Elris the Hawk Eye |
Putting away his bow once again, Elris peers around Eramos' shoulders and knocks slightly on the doorframe.
"Excuse me for bothering you, but are you the one who mans the ferry?"
Mykel Therinor |
Mykel eases his stance slightly, relieved that nothing had befallen the ferryman.
Well, at least we know he's all right. Maybe he knows what happened to our friend?
Tesi |
The man wakes up slowly, looking at you without understanding.
"I beg your pardon, but I was resting my eyes..."
The man slurs. He runs his hand through his thin hair and streches his hunched back with a groin.
"Strangers, huh?"
Mumbles something, his face showing disgust.
"The wolf in the water let you cross the river? That filthy beast eats children’s guts for breakfast, it must be your lucky day."
His hand points to an unusual-looking skull nailed to the nearby shack.
"Since we killed his mate, he is being hunting our shores... Nasty creature indeed. But here you are. What brigs you lot to Ravenmoor?"
Feybella |
Faybella walks forward to speak to the man. "We have been tasked with looking for a man named Elias. He came through about month ago. Do you recall seeing him?"
Know Nature: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Eramos |
"Ah, impressive. How many men did it take to bring the beast down?
No knowledge nature and even on a 20 I can not hit the DC.
Tesi |
"Elias? Care to describe miss? Some people going on and about t'place, I don't happen to remember everyone's name."
The man scratches his patched scalp.
Eramos (and everyone else): You CANNOT make an untrained Knowledge check with a DC higher than 10. ;-)
Feybella |
"He's an Ulfen like that tall gentleman over there." Faybella points at Eramos. "Only our fellow has red hair and is less tall that that one."
To Faybella almost everyone is tall or less tall not short.
Elris the Hawk Eye |
"Elias was the tax collector from a few weeks ago. He hasn't returned home, and his family is worried about him, as they have lost correspondence with the man."
No nature for me either, at least for now.
Tesi |
"Ooooh! That guy from Magnimar!" the ferryman smiles, showing his scarce teeth "Nice and chatty fella! I crossed him to the town some time ago, collected the taxes from the mayor and then left town... Although he didn't use the ferry... Maybe he tried to cross the river and the wolf in the water drowned him and ate his innards." the man shrugs.
Eramos |
I didn't even roll for either since I can't make either. I was just playing dumb/along with what the man said. I didn't look at the spoiler. I know beter
"I guess that means, we better find the mayor, since that's where he went to next. Sir, you mind pointing us to where the mayor might be."
Teena Akash PFS |
"Forgive my ignorance, but how did he leave town if he didn't use the ferry? What other entrances and exits are there from this place?"
Elris the Hawk Eye |
"He may have believed that was the truth. Other than that, I think he was just being lazy, considering that ferry doesn't look like it's used often."
Eramos |
"I say we head towards the town, that more likely where the mayor is at. And we can also rest up, if we need to. "
Tesi |
If noone objects I will asume you head for the town.
You have updated Ravenmoor's Map
Building C
There is a sign that reads "Weaver". This one story building is painted in tan tones.
Building D
"Barber".The front of this small building has a wide, overhanging roof that provides shade for a few benches and chairs out front.
Building F
This is a ruined church. The ceiling of this abandoned church has mostly caved in, and while the church’s two-story steeple still stands, the bell that once hung within appears to be missing.
Eramos |
Well if you want good stories and some information about the community, you should always chat with the barber.
Eramos goes to the barber shop, and enters if the door is not locked.
Elris the Hawk Eye |
Fully agreed, as they get all the juicy gossip from everyone in town.
Elris, spotting the barber's shop as well, follows the ulfen man.
Teena Akash PFS |
As it was just across the street, Teena headed into the Weaver building. She was going to ask about Elias. If they didn't know about him, she would find directions to the Mayor's.
Tesi |
At the barber's:
You find a man lying on a wide bench, while a man dressed with beige scrubs asks him to stand still. The man with the scrubs cleans the leg of the lying man with a towel, and makes a small incision with a scalpel, pushing some of the contents of the boil outside.
The lying man groans softly.
"Do not worry, I am almost done. I am sure this will not trouble you anymore, Kayth."
The barber cleans the wound carefully sewing the wound in the blink of an eye.
He then turns to the newcomers.
"What do you need gents? Haircut? Beard fixing? Both?"
The barber smiles, opening his arms.
At the Weaver's:
This shop is filled with simple clothing, cloth, thread, and yarn; a large loom and spinning wheel take up most of the shop's back area, along with a large cage containing Mushfen silkworms.
The town weaver, is a stooped crone with a quick smile.
"Good day." says the crone. "How may I help you dear?"
Teena Akash PFS |
Weaver:
"Good morning, ma'am. I'm not exactly from around here, but your place looked quite inviting. I'm in town looking for a friend of mine named Elias. He visited town about a month ago from what he wrote. He was doing some tax collecting work, and I haven't heard from him since. Do you remember seeing him? Do you know where he might have gotten off to? I'd heard he struck up a friendship with the mayor..."
Diplomacy 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Feybella |
Faybella follows Teena to the weavers. She allows her to speak to the woman, while she browses through the shop. She's also taking care to look for anything odd. This whole place is odd. I wonder if they didn't pay taxes for the last several years is because the "water wolf" got the tax collectors.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Eramos |
"I am not here for services friends. No, I am actually looking for another Ulfen man by the name of Elias, about my height, red hair, scars on the face. The ferry man said that he came to town quite some time ago. I was wondering if you could point me to where you last seen him or who he last spoke too."
Eramos gets a smirk on his face then slaps his hand on the back of Elris' shoulder. "how ever this young specimen may need his bangs touched up"
Mykel Therinor |
Now that you mention it, I could use a bit of a trim...the hair gets in my eyes sometimes in a fight....can't hit whatyou can't see, right? But, we do come on business as my friend here says. We are looking for him...he's gone missing and his sister is worried about him.
Mykel sits down in the chair and waits for the barber to finish cleaning his tools.
Tesi |
At the Barbers
"We can talk while I cut your friends hair, if you don't mind, sir." he grabs a hot towel and puts it around Mykels neck. Picking the scissors starts his work. "Red haired man, hmmmm, big with a red nose? I think someone came all the way from Magnimar matching that description if my memory serves me well... He spoke to the major and then went back to the big city." the man looks concentrated on his task, speaking as he trims Mykel's hair.
As soon as he is done, he brushes your clothes to clean the fallen hairs.
"One copper coin will serve, sir." turning at Eramos, asks "Would you need something else?" the barber starts to wipe the floors while talking. He looks quite a busy bee.
At the Weavers
"I do not to remember such a man darling, although I do not go out that much. I am too old to socialize, darling. Have you asked to other people about this man?" the woman moves slowly but you realize she keeps herself busy, folding clothes."I weave clothes for everyone in here, child, and noone by that description has come through that door." the woman smiles at you again "Do you need anything else? I happen to have very beautiful dress just your size!"
Eramos |
"Yes if you could tell us where we might find the mayor, that would be most helpful."
Mykel Therinor |
Thank you, my good man...at least now I can see what I'm doing... Mykel jests as he hands the man 3 copper coins.
Oh and by the way...what happened to the church? It looks like the bell is missing? Rather odd....
