Post this little under sewer interlude - more I think about it, more that Kamau having the +1 Mithril Breastplate makes sense - treated as Light Armour... get one of our magick wielders to mend/fix it and it'll be perfecto... (might need a clean though... :)

So.... it's been over a week since we've heard a peep out of Ventar. I have a plan for taking him out of the rotation at this stage of the adventure, but I will give him a few more days to resurface.

It will never cease to amuse me when I see evidence of the differences between American English and "proper" English in text on these boards. Most of the games I'm involved in here have a mix of American and British/Canadian/Australian players, so there's a lot of spelling the same words in different ways. :)
Must admit I can be chaotic with my spelling - normally "proper" english, but having spent a fair amount of time in the States i'll slip into americanisms like they're an favoured old t-shirt :)
BTW - loving the atmosphere to this game and interplay - kudos to one an' all :)

I encourage all of you to pay a visit to the new recruitment thread and let me know (via PM if you like) what you think of the new prospects and concepts. I want to be sure that, by bringing a new character into the fold, you all understand what effect it may cause on the existing party dynamic and thus have a say in it. I won't be making my decision for a few days yet, but if any of you have input I'd love to hear it.
Also, I have added the party's unidentified magic loot to the campaign front page here. This should help us keep track of what you're holding onto that hasn't been defined yet. Once the items are identified, it's up to you to record the items on your sheet (whoever gets them).
Looking at the recruit thread and noticed an annoyance of mine that appears common to re-recruit threads. When people list what character class needs replaced, someone always tries to submit a character that cannot possibly fill the same roll. Monk =/= cleric.

I chose Dark Netwerk's Fiendish Vessel cleric concept for the replacement PC. He's still settling on some specifics, however, so it hasn't been 100% realized just yet.
I added the +1 mithril breastplate to Kamau's item list and updated his stats. I'd appreciate it if one or two people would doublecheck me to make sure I didn't forget anything.
Kamau has stowed the chain shirt for now. While I realize that mechanically they're interchangeable, Albrekt is simply *more bigger* than Kamau and the idea of just trading armors has not occured to him.

Kamau has stowed the chain shirt for now. While I realize that mechanically they're interchangeable, Albrekt is simply *more bigger* than Kamau and the idea of just trading armors has not occured to him.

That said, however, because the armor currently has the broken condition, the enchantment is nullified and the base armor value is halved (+3). Once you can get some of the party casters to lay some mending on it, it'll eventually get back to being a masterwork breastplate (+6). You'll need make whole to restore the enchantment, however.

Fair enough. Assume that the breastplate is somehow stowed or carried along nearby since we're heading out of the sewers anyway. Kamau still has his chain-shirt on. Broken armor would make his armor check penalties for climbing and stealth pretty nasty, too.
Hi folks. Dark Netwerk here. I've more-or-less completed the character (in this alias). Just need to select a second trait, a second feat, my typical spells, and purchase equipment, along with other minor tweaks.
Feel free to have a look and comment on anything. Nothing is really set in stone and so can change to better fit with the group.
Looks good so far, Dark. Welcome aboard. As far as the equipment is concerned, please refer to the first post of this thread for guidelines on my somewhat unorthodox method of determining starting equipment.
One of the big questions I have is: Why is Pyrrius in Caliphas? Perhaps he is following Haruk for some reason? Maybe they are old acquaintances? The Pathfinder the party recently came across, Milo, was a worshipper of Asmodeus as well. Perhaps Pyrrius is somehow allied with Milo and is responding to some missive he received from him (albeit a bit too late)? These are important character motivations to consider moving forward. Additionally, I've mentioned several times now that the overarching plan of the campaign will involve the research and acquisition of ancient artifacts, so it would be good to justify reasons for your character to pursue such goals in the long run in order to keep things on-track.
Pyrrius is a contract lawyer (thus the points in Prof (lawyer) and Linguistics) slash cleric of Asmodeus (they seem to fit hand in hand). Originally from Cheliax (of the Crispin family). Left Cheliax when people were getting a little too close to discovering his true nature.
Although not affiliated with the pathfinders, he could very well know fellow worshipers of Asmodeus (Milo and/or Haruk), particularly in places, such as Ustalav, where such things aren't necessarily as prevalent.
Ancient artefacts = Power. Using the structure/letter of the law to attain personal power is always nice but not even having to worry about the law (since these items would presumably be outside of such things) is better. Aside from personal power, he could have sided with Milo with the goal of improving the power of the Chelaxian wing of the Pathfinders. Such things could also improve the power of Cheliax as a whole (he loves the country despite being something they would despise), or furthering the goals of grandfather Asmodeus.
Ok. I think the character is finished. Second feat was Craft Wondrous Items, to help fill the void the other cleric left. Second trait was Contract Master - doesn't do much apart from an extra point in linguistics (also helpful in research into the ancient) but fits the theme. Equipment is complete, I think.
One thing is that I may alter Pyrrius' languages to perhaps pick up Azlanti, Aklo, Ancient Osirion or something that may be useful with regards to ancient things (and could perhaps be a reason Milo would consult him). Any advice/suggestions?

Everything looks good so far. I should be able to get Pyrrius into the thick of things relatively soon. For languages, I will say that both Azlanti and Thassilonian would be excellent choices for a scholar of ancient things (and would offer less overlap with Solace's choices as well). Aklo will almost certainly come into play as well eventually. Ancient Osirioni maybe not so much (but who knows?).
I will say that the idea of an Asmodean contract expert is fantastic. I would, however, highly recommend ranks of Profession (Barrister) if you really want to play that up. It'll synergize well with your high WIS, too.
Ah, I just now noticed that you had a rank in Profession (Lawyer) which is the exact same thing. Excellent! :)
Pyrrius looks a great addition to the dark fold - very interesting character :)

Albrekt, question: Are we looking to swing for the fences on these two guards? Is Albrekt looking like a guy who's about to kill someone, or does he just look like he's going to viciously beat the lunch money out of them? I don't want to waste the stealth and tear onto the scene unless we're planning some full-on murder, here.
Albrekt: It's worth noting that you actually have to choose a single cruelty that you have access to. I'm assuming that you've chosen "Shaken" for your 3rd level cruelty. You don't actually get to swap between the 3 choices every time you use the power. It's just that, when you do use it, you can only select one cruelty that you have chosen (in your case, at this level you only have the one option).
So, if you're choosing shaken, the fatigued and sickened ones are off the table for Albrekt until you get to pick another one at level 6.
Mmmm Albrekt will probably plan to end them both... so swing away Kamau, swing away!
Ahhh - cheers for the clarification DM Fate, will indeed go with Shaken as my Cruelty of choice (seems more fitting for a Rovagite); Sickened and Fatigued perhaps as his worship shifts...
I'm going to be gone until late tomorrow night (my time), so I've left instructions with Fatespinner as to how Kamau will play out this combat, assuming that I end up missing it. If I get back in time, I'll contribute, and I'll see how practical it is to contribute from my phone during the day.

Yeah, and Knowledges should be largely covered by the aspiring Loremaster anyway, so no worries there. You all have your niches. :)
I have a few plans with how to get Pyrrius involved in the story. Which avenue I choose to take kind of depends on how the current combat plays out and what the party's next steps are afterwards. Don't worry, it won't be long now! :D
Based on Albrekt's bloodlust we'll probably need him to defend us in court :)

Bahahahaha, "Baying like a wild animal." Holy crap, the group had no idea what it signed up for. We got an Albrekt+Ventar duo and then within a day we lose Albrekt's minder and suddenly it's like we're carrying around an axe murderer.

Hah - not intentional, "Albrecht" was the name of an old, favourite WFRP character I had back in the day - always been a name I really liked. Fits nicely here though lol
