You each receive 100 XP. I must apologise - Ojal actually succeeded in the last section!
The group have found what appears to be the main base for the silt runners raiding activities. The terrain has given way to an area of broken valleys. It would seem that from your observations, the main activity is to the north of your present position, and that there are two main ways into the valley area. The first is through an area of broken outcroppings that would be ideal for an ambush, or as a guard post. The second is more open but has some unusual terrain that seems to be constructed by sentient beings.

T'klik Chik |

"T'klik want ambush them, the natural outcroppings work best. Stone made by the world, buildings made by man, stone standing much longer than man's buildings." He chitters.
Then suggests, "Me think we check ambush site for ambush waiting, then me can sneak in and get idea of what inside as you get in good hide."

T'klik Chik |

We investigate the ambush site to ensure there isn't one already waiting for us. The rest of the group finds good hide positions, while I go scout (if someone else has good stealth we can go together). I will then lead a group back to the ambush site.
Fabes I have a question in the discussion thread if you haven't seen it yet.

Fabes DM |

The terrain is somewhat like this:
>>>>THE VALLEY<<<<
The terrain is very open, so T'klik will have to remain low (as I'm sure you realise). The rest of the group can squat on the slopes, and T'klik can Stealth to get closer. IF you can also roll a Perception check as well, that would be great

T'klik Chik |

The 'L'-shaped alcove on the upper right (just off the middle) of the pic would be great for a hide spot. If there is something like that
T'klik lightly scratches his carapace all over before semi-burying himself in the sand. Small granules of the local sand color stick in some of the scratches to help him camouflageStealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
Moving ahead, ensuring that he stays close to ridge so he can skip from cover to cover, T'klik keeps his keen multi-faceted eyes on the terrain for any signs of his quarry. Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20

T'klik Chik |

T'klik decides to go ahead and get their attention, and hope they take the bait.
He steps out of his hiding place, with his back to the ambush, walking back toward the party at a normal pace. All the while pretending to be looking for something on the ground.
He hopes that the site of a lone Kreen, not paying attention will be a tantalizing enough target to follow.
Guessing surprise round. So, if I only have one action I will take a single move action, to be closer to our own ambush. I don't want them to think I'm running, as a running TK would be hard to catch.

Fabes DM |

The rest of the group are about 100 ft (20 squares away) to give you an idea.
The mantis-man hears squawks of alarm as he makes his presence known. As he studiously pretends to be not suspicious in the slightest, he can tell that there is a small commotion at the outcroppings. One of the silt runners makes a dash northwards.
i.e. in the opposite direction to you. You are all to the south.

Taanak Dunestalker |

Ojal lies low and watches T'klik casually passing by.
"I think he's found something. We should ready ourselves."
"Agreed. They are likely to reinforce this position. I suggest we take advantage of this distraction and circle around to the other entrance to the valley. They may have placed traps there, but if we are vigilant, we may be able to turn this to our advantage and gain the element of surprise."

T'klik Chik |

"They not take bait, they run raise alarm. Maybe we move around behind ones on side opposite of direction of other path. If we kill that side, other side need cross ambush valley to get to us. If alarm put guards in other path, they need come more far to reach us." T'klik chitters, while angling his head and twitching his antennae in thought.

Shamash |

"Perhaps, since they have just sent away one of their number, we should attack them here before help arrives. We can spend ages navigating round the desert but for a lot of us it isn't our strong point. On the other hand, storming an enemy position is something I do know about."

T'klik Chik |

Sorry, what I am saying, is there are two paths, say one on the left and one on the right. If we are on the right one, and not the left. I say we attack the right SIDE of the right path. That way the left side of the right path has to cross the right path to get to us. The left and right side of the left path has to cross also the right path to reach us. We would in essence split the waves, and make them cross the open area that is good for ambushes, or they take the long way around. I hope that helps, if I could draw it in the sand in front of us it might, lol

Monoc One-eye |

"I agree with Shamash. Full attack. Now, before more come."
I say we charge in, keeping near to the right hand slopes. We kill anything that moves as quickly as possible, then get ourselves set to defend those rocks from any follow-up silt runner force. In short we just try to overwhelm them.

Shamash |

"Alright, Monoc, me and T'klik first, then Ojal and Taanak right behind providing back-up us as we charge. We stay together, and don't split up, so that the silt runners have to attack us as a group, not singly. We hit the rocks hard and fast and kill all we find, but unless we can stay together or kill them at range we leave any that run."
Shamash draws his huge blade. "Who is with me?"
Rock on.
