On Taanak's turn Monoc uses a healing surge. Now on 16 HP, no longer bloodied.

Unable to move from his current square, Monoc summons his reserves of strength.

Second wind. Now on 23 HP. +2 all defenses until somnt. Save: 1d20 ⇒ 20.

Are those positions correct? Per the description, D1 stepped back (shifted, presumably?) and attacked with a ranged attack, but per the map it's standing next to me (which would generate an AoO - or OA). R2 stabbed me with a spear (plausibly with reach) so he's not next to me (though it's not clear from the description). Just clarifying, since I can feel a dragon breath coming on and am anyway trying to hold the line.

Oh. Whoops. Huh. It saved the wrong version. Sorry. Yes, the darter shifted back 1. The rager has reach 2. I'll put the right one in... doh.

Right, link should point to correct map now. Lemris maintains his flaming orb.

Initiative

Ojal 11 - DELAY

T'klik 22 1 failed death save
Taanak 16 : Spirit of Athas (adjacent allies gain +1 to defenses)
Shamash 14 Bloodied

Silt Runner Rager 13

Silt Runner Darter 13
1 Marked by Shamash
Monoc 10
Lemris 5

Male Thri-Kreen Monk 1, Centered Breath, Wasteland Nomad

Chittering loudly out the front door, T'klik moves up to the opening to take stock of where the fight has moved to, loads another round and lets fly. Showing that he is almost as dangerous with his not oft used sling as he can be with his claws. "Get back in walls, we surround here, they surround out." he clacks, angry at the two who rush headlong into unknown danger, wholly convinced that it is different than when he rushes into known danger.

Move Q16, load free, Standard attack R2, 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23, damage 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9.

Male Athasian Elf Shaman 1

Taanak, seeing the injuries of his companions getting out of hand, rushes to the doorway near Monoc and sends his companion forth to assist the dray. Hastily, the elf commands his scorpion spirit to strike at the nearby rager.

Move to S16, spirit companion moves to T15. Watcher's strike against R2. 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17 vs. Reflex. 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 on hit. Adjacent allies (including myself) get +1 to hit and +5 Perception until end of my next turn.

Spending an action point for another standard action...

Meanwhile, he begins an incantation and conjures up a healing mist that envelops his allies with soothing moisture while searing the silt runner's flesh.

Spirit of the Healing Flood daily power, close burst 5. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15 vs. Fort on D1, 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21 vs. Fort on R2. Dealing 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 on hit, half on miss. Allies in the burst (everyone but Lemris and Ojal) gain regen 2 while bloodied and can heal 10 as a minor action (ending the regen).

Male Dray Swordmage 1

Move action: shift to R15. Minor action: attack with breath weapon, which should catch D1 and R2. Attack 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 5 + 1 + 1 = 23 v Reflex to hit D1, 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 1 + 1 = 21 v Reflex to hit R2. Damage (poison) 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9. Standard action: Whirling Blade ranged attack on D1, 1d20 + 6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 6 + 1 + 1 = 19 to hit v AC, damage 2d12 + 3 ⇒ (6, 5) + 3 = 14. I assume that hits, so I don't need to make the secondary attack on R2. And then I heal 2 points of damage.

Shamash presses back against the wall and unleashes his poisonous breath. He then hurls his sword at the silt runner with the blowpipe before it returns miraculously to his hand.

Taanak, all your attacks hit. Shamash - your breath attack will only get 1 of the enemies. Your choice.

Taanak and Shamash spring into action, galvanised by the primal spirits perhaps.

Monoc, Shamash, T'klik can heal 10 as a minor action (ending regen).

Taanak 16 : Spirit of Athas (adjacent allies gain +1 to defenses), anyone adjacent to scorpion companion gains +1 to hit and +5 Perception until eoTaanaknt

Male Human Awakened Psion 1

Ojal waits for the flurry of movement to die down before making his move.

i.e. who's still alive. He'll jump back in after Shamash is sorted.

Curses - misjudged the position. I'll get R2, since he hurt me baaaad.

R2 dead. And then Shamash kills D1.

Shamash breathes poison death over the spear armed runner, who falls to the ground choking. He then throws his sword at the darter, impaling the unfortunate reptilian, who also collapses dead. The obsidian blade returns to Shamash's hand.

Your choice as to whether to stay in combat rounds or not.

Male Dray Swordmage 1

Bwahahaha! Don't mess with the dray!

On the other hand, a few of us have taken a bit of a pasting - shall we have a quick rest here?

Male Human Awakened Psion 1

Ojal pokes his head around the door and sees nothing but carnage.

"You seem to have dealt with the problem terribly efficiently. Although I'm sure the screams may attract a little attention. Perhaps we should ready ourselves for the next wave?"

Short rest by all means for those that need it, but I can't help feeling they'll be back and in greater numbers before we know it.

Male Athasian Elf Shaman 1

I suggest we stay in rounds at least long enough for the bloodied people to maximize the benefits of regen, then pop the 10-point heal to get as much health back as possible. It's surge-free healing, and it's my daily power, so we might as well milk it.

OK, we'll stay in init order.

Initiative

Ojal 11 - DELAY

Monoc 10 regen 2 whilst bloodied
Lemris 5
T'klik 22 1 failed death save, regen 2 whilst bloodied
Taanak 16 : Spirit of Athas (adjacent allies gain +1 to defenses), anyone adjacent to scorpion companion gains +1 to hit and +5 Perception until eoTaanaknt
Shamash 14 Bloodied, regen 2 whilst bloodied

Male Human Awakened Psion 1

Ojal will ready a Mind Spike for the first creature to approach not bearing the white flag of surrender (or equivalent).

The potter keeps his orb at the ready while his companions restore themselves.

Male Dray Swordmage 1

Unless we are about to be attacked, shall we assume we just regenerate as far as we want and head back to the underground shelter? We can have a short rest there. Perhaps we can drag the corpses of the slain out of sight, to make it less likely they are spotted?

I'll go with that then - everyone under the effect of regen can regen until not bloodied, whilst you retreat and drag the bodies down into the underground hall.

The group grab the bodies and under the effect of Taanak's magic, heal their wounds.

Short Rest. 87 XP each

Male Dray Swordmage 1

I'll regenerate for another round and then take the 10. Then I'll blow a surge for full hp.

Male Thri-Kreen Monk 1, Centered Breath, Wasteland Nomad

T'klik will do the same, and be full.

Male Goliath Barbarian 1

Monoc takes the 10 healing, putting him at 26 / 31 HP. Is anyone tracking our XP? :)

Monoc, back in control of his legs, helps hide the bodies out of sight in the ruins.

I did a quick audit, since I hadn't paid attention until now. I think my total is correct.

Male Human Awakened Psion 1

Been tracking it and have us at 545XP. Shamash may well be right and it's 539. Don't know where the extra 6 might have come from.

Male Dray Swordmage 1

What's 6 xp between friends?

Let's say 545 XP. I am a munificent god.

The group retreats back underground, and finds some Urikite ceramic coins on the bodies of the silt runners.

40 gp worth of coins.

Male Human Awakened Psion 1

"Very useful."

I can keep a loot list if you like.

Male Dray Swordmage 1

That'll be handy.

Once we've had our short rest, and assuming we aren't disturbed...

"Alright, shall we get back up there and go hunting silt runners?"

Male Human Awakened Psion 1

"Agreed."

Ojal sorts the coin into careful heaps and places them in his pack.

Male Thri-Kreen Monk 1, Centered Breath, Wasteland Nomad

T'klik goes from his relaxed standing posture to a more rigid hunting posture. "Hunting prey good, me good for kill more."

I'm really sorry, gang, but due to health issues, I'm putting both games I'm running and all my PCs on hiatus until I feel better. I can only apologise for the inconvenience.

Male Dray Swordmage 1

Sorry to hear that. Get better soon.

Male Human Awakened Psion 1

Seconded.

Male Thri-Kreen Monk 1, Centered Breath, Wasteland Nomad

No need to apologize, take care of yourself.

Male Goliath Barbarian 1

Look after yourself Fabes. We'll be here when you want to come back.
