Upon hearing the noises, Karla give a blank stare and an open question to her new allies, maybe it was friends, maybe not.
Taurven get up from his meal and pick up his bow, preparing himself if there’s any need for violence.
Eamch, moves to the door, and takes a careful look outside, Eamch: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (6) + 16 = 22.
Gargamal, not trusting it to be hides in the trees just outside the house.

The approaching night is cool and pleasant. A fresh wind washes over the place bringing the smell of grass, wild life and… death. Looking on the road direction, Eamch and Gargamal see four large forms in the coming darkness. Untold and old memories flood their mind as they recognize the forms as Ogres. With them, elfs with skin black as the moonless night, cruel eyes and white hair.

They don’t appear to have seen Gargamal at the trees or Eamch spying from the door, but neither are them ignoring the house. Intentions? Map updated.


Karla lets her new companions go out and scout. Her task is to wait for battle, or for a nice conversation with fellow travellers. She unstraps her father's sword from her back and sits on a chair, waiting for a signal.

As soon as he recognizes the ogres Taurven acts. He does not want to be boxed up in the house, so he goes right out the front door. Once outside he lets an arrow loose at one of the ogres blundering about in the road.

His blood boiling with hatred a the sight of his dark skinned kin, Gargamal sights down his bow, and quickly firing one arrow at each of the hated drow. (Using deadly aim:-3 to hit/+6 damage)

After some thought, can both attacks go on just one of the drow..I think I want to try and take one out quick, rather than just wound 2 of them...thanks!

Noting the massive size and brawn of the approaching ogres, Eamch steps closer to the door opening, drawing a wand from his backpack as he does so. He invokes the power of the wand upon himself, dropping it when he has done so. He makes a mental note of when the wand falls so he can recover it later.

Gargamal silently creeps out in the cool near-night, positioning himself to ambush whatever is coming if it proves to be an enemy. Karla does not bother and keep eating, waiting for any signal that trouble is coming, while Eamch and Trauven wait at the door.

When Gargamal see his hated foe, he acts without thinking, sending two bolts in the unsuspecting enemy.

Taurven steps outside the house letting an arrow that strike the ogre down the road.
Eamch use this first moment to boost his defenses, casting a magical armor on himself.

Karla and Gargamal, you action for round one.


Hearing the first sounds of battle, Karla smiles and mutters a silent thanks to Torm as she gets out of the inn: "Ah ogres! Nice way to end a day!" she shouts to infuse her companions with courage. She raises her sword to the sky, then points at the incoming ogres in challenge. A wave of energy radiates out from her, making the air around her ally vibrant with excitement.

Aura of Heroism (30 feet): +2 morale bonus on attack rolls, saves, and skill checks;
Inspire courage: +2 competence on hit and damage

The other drow, carrying a greataxe, with a battle cry on this lips, fury bulging in his eyes, charges at the elf, bringing his greataxe down with furious purpose.

The dark energy washes over Taurven, draining his strength and crushing his spirit. Still, Karla stands like a beacon of hope; shoring up his will.
Taurven recognizes the drow spell-caster as the main threat, so he turns his attention in that direction.

Karla shrugs off the worst of the dark energies that wash over her. Noticing the undead ogres making their way ever so slowly, she acknowledges the greater and more imminent threat of the caster at the top of the hill.

She moves over to Eamch and says: "Eamch! I'm roo slow. But by His grace, I grant you the power to walk on air. Go get that priest!"

Casting Air Walk on Eamch as I move to him or he passes me by..


Will 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14 Eamch is sickened for 4 rounds

Despite feeling utterly wretched, Eamch bolts forward, making a dash toward the priest on the rise. As he advances, he experiments with Karla's spell. When he learns he can indeed step upon air as though it were the ground, he takes advantage of it to close with the priest.

With a 60' move, I believe Eamch can reach the spot to which I moved him on the map. If the zombie closest to the priest has a reach weapon in addition to its natural reach, it may get an AoO on Eamch. His path of movement is moving into Taurven's square, and then move diagonally until he reaches his current position on the map.

Once next to the priest, Eamch tries to grab him and pull his slightly off balance, hoping to make any spells harder to cast.

Grapple attack 1d20 + 12 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 12 + 2 - 2 = 28. That's +2 for improved grapple feat, -2 for being sickened.

But it seems that Torm is looking not only to his follower, but to her friends as well, as the huge and clumsy attack hits the ground just beside him.

The last zombie, attacks Eamch that is currently holding the priestess.

The attack, unlike the others, had more accuracy and less power into it, and because he was holding the priestess, the Eamch was unable to properly avoid it, taking the full burnt of the attack.

Eamch shakes off the spell washing over him, even though the near overwhelming illness lingers. "It's not that easy, sweetheart!"

With a zombie in striking distance, Eamch releases the priestess, only to follow up with a spinning flash of blows targeting her.

Trading his bow to his off hand, Taurven darts forward. In the same motion he draws his sword and attacks the dead ogre.

Karla moves to side with Taurven and administer Torm's medicine to the undead ogres. Her father's sword rings and flashes as it dances lightly in her powerful hands, and she lets it crash in the ogre's skull.

Working together, Karla and Taurven were able to destroy one of the zombies, but unfortunately two others remain, still threatening them.

Without any regard for their own safety, the zombies press on the attack on the Karla.

With a superb precision, one of the zombies hit the cleric, and behind all the armor, sound of bones breaking could be heard.

Eamch launches a sequence of punches aiming to stun the drow, but only one of them hits;
Fort: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25 and it's not enough to make the priestess unable to move, more it look like it pissed her off.

"You dare?? Die!!" she screams as she her hand seethes with eerie dark fire.
Concentration DC 25: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (3) + 20 = 23
The spell however fails, as she attempted to cast without giving any opening to Eamch attack back.

Spell craft DC 20 to identify the spell as Slay Living.

Taking a step over the body of his fallen foe, Gargamal sees the last drow battling Emach. He lifts his bow and fires another 2 arrows at his most hated enemy.

Karla reels from the pain, but keeps her spirit as she spits a glob of blood on the ground: "Ahahah! You're a sly one Torm! I'll give you that, BUT. WE. WILL. PREVAAAAAIIIIIIL!!!"

She pivots on the ball of her left feet, and her swords circles round her in a deadly arc that almost catches Taurven, then she sneds it up and crashing down again on the bext ogre.

"Well, yeah I dare. Frankly, you haven't given me a reason not to dare!" Eamch hopes his voice carries a tone of confidence.

He presses his assault on the priestess. Flurry of blows with power attack and stunning fist attempt on each attack. If any connect, a DC 19 fort save is required to avoid being stunned for one round.

Eamch launches again a barrage of punches, but his aim was compromised by the force he used and the evil effect that made him weaker.

Karla steps over the fallen ogres with heavy steps to get closer to the priestess and her bodyguard. Bones crack under her feet as she points at her with her sword: "Dodge my wrath!" she shouts as she keeps her allies bolstered and unleashes holy energies around her and the last ogre.

Eamch is already preparing his glib reply when the column of flame comes down. Dozens of irreverent, sarcastic and biting remarks zip through his mind, but his body is not fast enough. He manages to avoid the worst of the blast, but his skin is still blistered, red and raw in places. He looks up at the dark priestess, knowing he might die in this next moment, but all he can think to say is "You burned my coat! I love this coat!"

With that, he leaps at her.

Taurven and Gargamal, firing with deadly accuracy kill the priestess while Karla and Eamch group in the remaining ogre, and before the brute has a change to finish off Eamch, he dies under an avalanche of punches and kicks.

Without losing any time, you go about searching the dead bodies, since money after all, even from a bad guy, is still money. Better yet, is evil money turned to a good cause, and the cause in this particular moment is getting more money.

Lithara, the drow priestess also kept a detailed journal. She writes little about herself and her activities; her writings chronicle larger, broader topics. She details the worship of Lolth, the religion, rites, and services. Her entries also reveal a wealth of information about the political and social life of drow among the upper classes.
Most of the personal information about Lithara and her life appear as margin notes among drawings and doodles. In the last entry, she has made the following notes in the margin: Rule-of-Three of Sigil intrigues me as few others have. As he would say: a riddle, an enigma, a puzzle. Regardless of his ultimate loyalty (impossible to determine), he would make a fine sacrifice to honor the Spider Queen.
