Kaylayne tries to light up a drow but fails, though she holds another in her grasp. Dimitrio downs purple in two blows, though neither manages to confirm. Allarnon manages a hit on red, though a glancing blow. Lief DMPC shifts to keep his flanking position for Allarnon. Ederin tickles red a little with one shot - but manages to drop him, barely…
As the party begins to mop up, you see some odd reactions in the crowd. As guards fall, some are dragged to safety by the audience, given care, and even bandaging. Meanwhile, others, apparently less well liked, are pick-pocketed, or killed outright, as the mob mentality - and greed - takes hold. One of the servants is even doing his level-best to keep Kaylayne’s blood from pooling overmuch on the bar.
Orvignato re-appears, having walked up to Kaylayne, upside down on the ceiling. He attacks her viciously with his flail - presuming her to be the leader of this rabble attacking his home. He also carries a loaded hand crossbow, though he doesn’t use it as yet.

Dimitrio, striving to impress, dramatically demoralizes his opponent before cutting him down with a crit and hit combo. Allarnon hits his drow twice, but does not drop him. Lief prepares himself well, but sadly fails to connect with the mighty Orvignato. Ederin, who has been saving all his arrows and all his luck for this one round, unloads on Orvignato, hitting him three times to devastating effect - yet he does not fall. Kaylayne delays, then steps back and fires away, yet she too misses her target.
Orvignato eyes Ederin, ”I bet you can’t do that again! But just in case…” He runs along the ceiling and leaps into the air, falling to the door which he grabs with a tumble and propels himself out and on the ground, running hard. (double move)

As the lights go out, Lief tries to review the floorplan in his mind. He decides to wait out a little more time, flying over to Tarkir's last known location, discovering the bear lying on the floor. Figuring the bear for dead, from its many attacks earlier, he at least tries to revive it through healing.

Dimitrio manages to strike his opponent once more, yet the fresh drow does not drop. Allarnon stumbles into blue, connects once, and further injures the drow in the doorway. Lief finds Tarkir and ensures he’s not bleeding out. Kaylayne, seeing in the deepest darkness, rushes outside and brings Ederin with her. Ederin manages but a single hit, which does not drop the slippery drow, though he’s bleeding from many arrows still lodged in important organs throughout his body.
Orvignato, tagged again, drops his hand crossbow and draws another flask drinking it. Turning invisible yet again, he shouts, ”Now how good is your shooting?!” before moving off (well all he’s got left is a 5’ step you think).
The upstairs crew is heard to be doing something, but exactly what you’re not sure.

Dimitrio with one well placed blow, drops red-green in his tracks. Allarnon lumbers up and devastates poor blue standing in the doorway, but Tarkir, taking the brunt of the lighting full on, passes on to the happy hunting grounds… :( Lief drops the drider and the darkness bringing back the dim ambient light. Kaylayne bumps into Orvignato and lights him up for… Ederin who drops him like a rock in the middle of the street. He is still invisible, but glittery so you can’t make out items per se, just his general form.
With the drider unconscious, and the drow dropping like flies, the party makes quick work of the rest of the guards. Few, if any, surrender. It grows quiet as the staff considers, What next? and the crowd shifts idly thinking the same. You also wonder about the threats of reinforcements - truth or bluster? They certainly seemed to be fighting a delaying action…

Lief looks down on the dead bear, aware of a price paid. For deigning to take up this mission, something lost, for what gained? The pelt. You gained a pelt. Tarkir could really tie the room together. Stop. Do not think like that. That's drow thinking. Besides, you're no furrier.
Renewing his Haste, Lief moves to the drider, extending his spines for perhaps the last time, and finishes him off with his fleshwarping. As the spines retract, he turns to the bar, where he proceeds to locate the section of the bar he can reasonably assume to be the fleshwarping alchemicals, and takes what he can. For research, of course.
Given time, he moves to Allarnon, flicking the wand quickly, continually, to make sure that nothing else is sacrificed.

Dimitrio counts those drow fallen to his blade tonight. "One, two, three..."
He turned to one still lingering about not knowing what to do, "One last chance to save your life before my mistress notices you. Go!"
The bard then quickly checked the enemies for anything valuable before going towards Allarnon.
Putting a heavy hand on his shoulder, "I'm afraid the blessings I channel from Desna won't do here. I wish I were a more apt chenneler but my talent lieas in dancing. I am sorry."
Dimitrio then waits for Layne to come down and put order to the chaos of this bar.

With the combat over Allarnon looks about the devastated room. thoroughly pleased with himself with the amount of drow brought down he smiles as he changes back into a grizzled drow. Moving over he kicks off some of the broken table and chairs that lie strewn all about. leaping he lands on Tarkir's side with a smile and a laugh.
"Wakey! Wakey! Big fella." Tarkir's head falls limp in his hands and Allarnon's smile goes away. "Come on Tark! That drow poison ain't that strong...." His voice cracks as he looks to the others with a bit of worry in his eyes.
He shakes the bear a lot harder this time. "WAKE UP TARK! WAKE UP!" realizing what has ultimately happened Allarnon's voice gives way to pain and suffering as tears well in his eyes. He slams a fist down on Tarkir's side as he begins to cry. His voice quavers into a whisper as he rests his head down into Tarkir's pile of fur. "Wake...up...wake....up....wake...up"
With Tarkir lying there Allarnon quickly forgets about his own injuries.

Kaylayne nods at Drowderin as the villain fails, a triumphant/ smile on her lips. She spins, using unseen hands to drag the glittery body back into the Kiss, following her in jerky movements as if unseen hands are dragging the body.
Her happy smile fades as Tarkir's body remains prone and motionless. Her smile, her entire drow fascade drops.
"No. Tarkir?" Kaylayne looks to Allarnon, hoping the man has good news. Her lips tremble and eyes blur. She bites back a few tears, trying to regain her composure.
"Search the place, *sniff*, quickly. This man should stop his glitters soon," Kaylayne sniffs. "Grab anything of value or interest and let's go. Lethe? Lief? Go find what made this man so dangerous? Did he have blackmail or secrets stashed *sniff* above? See if you can find them."
She kneels and buries her face in her work, to both search the body of the Orvignato and to hide her face.
"Go! Search! We should leave her quickly."

One of the remaining guards says, "The office is upstairs." he gestures over his shoulder.
He hesitates, but finds the wherewithal to ask, "Are you taking over? Need some muscle?"
The crowd settles down and the few remaining staff continue to serve them, and start cleaning up the place in typical drow fashion. They pile the bodies in one of the curtained rooms - at least for now.

Ederin takes a moment to look over Tarkir. His face is emotionless, but there's a slight trembling in his hands. Without speaking he places a hand on Allarnon's shoulder and awkwardly pats it twice. He silently whispers a prayer to Erastil, not wanting to risk it out loud, then he leans down and ruffles the Tarkir's fur. "Hunt well."
When the guard questions them, Ederin takes the lead. "What did Orvignato mean about back up? Give me a good answer, and this place is yours, we don't need a hovel like this. Give me a poor one and you'll be staying in that room over there." Ederin points to the curtained area with the bodies to make his point clear.

He shows Lief into the office. There are a number of documents, papers, and assorted miscellany - but the man points to the safe. It is locked.
While Lief ransacks a few items from the bar and heads upstairs with the guard, Orvignato becomes visible and Kaylayne find a number of notable items. I’m assuming you’re not taking the time to ID everything now, just grabbing the loot and heading out, but I’m listing it for convenience. Two potions of cure serious wounds, +3 chain shirt, +2 buckler, +2 flail, +1 hand crossbow, a hat of disguise, a belt of constitution +6, a ring of protection +3 and assorted keys.

Hearing the jingle of keys on the body of Orvignato, Lief takes up the collection, and heads to the office, and the awaiting safe. He looks the device over for obvious traps, but worries a bit about magical workings, too. When reasonably sure he's not about to explode the establishment, he sifts through the keys first, disabling if none of them work. He only hopes that Orvignato's personal possession of them was safeguard enough.

You find a largish key which fits neatly into the lock. You do find traps, but are confident that the key will override their triggering mechanism.
Within the safe, you find a wide variety of things: 800 pp, 1,700 gp, 8 rubies worth 300 gp a piece, a House Moivas signet ring, 15 doses of vayav (a local wisdom-draining drug worth 20gp a dose down here, 200gp in Riddleport), a sizable emerald worth 6,000 gp that glows slightly and several ledgers detailing the complete dealings of the Razor Crown mercenary company along with some other maps and documents - likely what Alicavniss is looking for.

"Time to go." Lief nods to Dimitrio. He allows Dimitrio to gather the contents, before himself gathering the Vayav and the ledgers.
He bounds back down the stairs, readying another vial, should their way back to House Vonnarc prove obstructed.
Glancing over at Tarkir's corpse, he looks to Allarnon. "Are you able to leave his body? Or are we bringing it with us?"

Kaylayne collects what she can off Orvignato's body, not taking the time to ID it now, while trying to keep her face hidden as she mourns Allarnon's loss. She does not bother the man until it is time to leave and Lief has returned from above, Drowderin finishes his interrogations, and DimiDrow is ready.
When the safe is opened and everyone is ready, Kaylayne will approach Allarnon carefully.
"Bring him, Allarnon, If you need help, I shall provide help to carry him back. But we should...we should bring him back. There...we should honor his service to us," Kaylayne whispers to Allarnon.
She awaits Allarnon's reply before arranging help.

Allarnon doesn't remember the journey back at all as his mind is a blur. It races to all of the possibilities as reality has not completely hit him yet.

The party loots quickly and speed away into the city, carrying their fallen comrade with them.
You make your way through the busy streets and into Eirdrissier where you can get off the beaten path a little. Thanks to Ederin, no one can track you - and you feel you're safely away. You get closer to house Vonnarc and stop, at least briefly, to ID the items you possess, and, maybe, heal.

Lief applies his wand once to heal himself, but is ready to heal Allarnon fully, alone or with others helping.
Dimitrio stops Lief from using his healing wand all the time.
"Here, let me. It's a good idea to have more than one of the healing sticks."
He then proceeds to heal Allarnon.
"We should also take a look at what we got from this drow we just killed and his guards. What did you find Layne?"
He quickly added, "it may be a good idea to read the books as well. Information is highly prized here. Are we in a hurry to get back to the First Daughter?"

Most of the guards were looted by the good patrons of the bar. I added ~300gp to the other pot to cover what little you might have picked up. I'm assuming you didn't take the time to strip them of armor and weapons - except anything the might have glowed. :)

Kaylayne was at -24 hp (thx to false life) and will take 4 hits of wand of CLW: 4d8 + 4 ⇒ (7, 5, 6, 7) + 4 = 29 healing. +1 to getting more wands if we can find them.
Before returning home, Kaylayne will take some time to make herself presentable. She hides the extremely useful magics away and has the papers of interest ready for presentation.
She thanks DimiDrow for the healing.
When she and others are ready, she leads the group (from behind of course) back to meet her Lady.
"Leave the bear here, Allarnon. I share your loss, but we can not bring it to the Lady."
Unless someone wants the belt, Kaylayne will don it, even temporarily. Also, I think Allarnon wants the Ring +3.

Yes, the ring might help me get hit a bit less. Seems about each fight I am soaking 80-ish HP.
Back at the room Allarnon barely notices the others tending to his wounds as he strokes Tarkir's blood soaked and singed fur.
Hearing his name his mind snaps back to the present. "The lady.....yes...." Allarnons eyes gleam as he bares his teeth. "Let's go talk to the b#%**. She did this to him. Sending us in there to get killed." He points his finger back at Tarkir. "She will share a spot with him when I am done with her." Allarnon stands and walks with a new purpose as he leaves the room towards the tower.

If you think you'll be able to kill Alicavniss where she stands, when we get back, you're admitting to your desire to join Tarkir in the next life. And, you're consigning us to the same fate. To act against the First Daughter, in any way, is to guarantee a grisly death, after a long torture." Lief looks to Ederin, unsure about the next set of events.

As Allarnon takes the ring, the bard takes a closer look at the chainshirt. The underground motifs didn't catch his attention but the excellent quality and magical protection sure did.
"I'll be taking this unless someone wants it. I will offer up my own magical chainshirt if desired."

Ederin keeps quiet on the way back to report their success. He wipes the tracks of his party members, keeping them untrackable, and looking over his shoulder, just in case they were being followed anyway.
Perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (3) + 15 = 18
If Allarnon needs help carrying Tarkir, he assists, still quiet. Shutting his mouth was the only way he knew how to mourn and show respect, even when Al threatens their success by exposing his rage at Alicavniss, Ederin keeps quiet. It had been a long time since he's lost any friends, he'd almost forgotten what it felt like, but the wound had been reopened, the old sting returned. At least a drow body was perfectly made for brooding.

Allarnon spins around. "When does this end? Any of this?" Allarnon holds his arms up around him. "She is having us run errands. Til what? Til we are all killed?" He says as he gets close to Lief. His eyes filled with sadness and grief. "Her killed will being a great blow to an entire drow house Lief. And I will feel a little better......" The muscular drows shoulders slump. "Let's just get the information and get back to the surface as quickly as possible."

Allarnon spins around. "When does this end? Any of this? Let's just get the information and get back to the surface as quickly as possible."
Kaylayne doesn't try to temper Allarnon's rage...she feels it too.
"You are right, Allarnon. We should get what we came here to get. We knew it would not be easy or without risk, but none of that mitigates your loss. I'm sorry for your loss. I feel it too. Let us get done with this so we can honor your bear appropriately."
Kaylayne bites back some anger, then her tears. She wipes her face to make herself presentable.

Soft. That's what Alicavniss would say. Lief looks upon Kaylayne as she outwardly grieves. Not soft. Humane. Capable of sacrifice. That is the difference between us and the drow.
Lief nods to Allarnon, and Kaylayne, and follows closely behind, as they head to their meeting with the First Daughter. He only hopes that she honors their agreement, instead of assigning them another risky task, with more promises.
He doesn't suggest stopping for re-equipping. He wants to be gone from the Underdark as much as the others.

The party makes their way back onto the grounds of House Vonnarc. You proceed into the compound and again make your way to the Tower. The guards nod, and your rings again flare briefly as you open the door.
You wait only briefly on the ground floor before a servant - a mage likely of some power - escorts you again through the complex and up to the top floor where the First Daughter awaits. She has some papers in front of her as she sits in her high chair, and she looks at your countenance as you enter.
"It did not go well?" she inquires.

"Our bear died." Lief moves to the table in front of Alicavniss, and sets down the ledgers. "The material you requested. Also, Orvignato has been silenced permanently."
"The bear has value, if you have the means of restoring it to life."
