No, Dimitrio does not have those abilities even though he can see the shimmering light. :) In any case, he will just use one move action and use the second standard/move action to start inspire courage (+3 to hit/damage). Please adjust my icon on the map. Thanks.

Allarnon defeats the Hezrou demon, and while Tarkir doesn't hit the snake, he does manage to drop another image with his last blow. Dimitrio moves up a little and inspires courage lending assistance to his allies. Lief confirms his critical hit, whittling away a little further. Kaylayne glitters the demon, reducing its combat effectiveness. Ederin finally overcomes his sickness to heal himself.

The snake continues a combination of murmurs, taunts, and other distractions, as it tries to get the advantage of Lief.

Lief feels another tail tighten around him, and wonders enough where the others are to take a brief look around. He gladdens a little with Tarkir at his side, if only the damned xacarba would find the bear a suitable second target.

When Dimitrio begins to sing, Lief opens his eyes for a moment, surprised to hear the inspiration, after so long. He turns back towards the xacarba, while he closes his eyes again.

"Alright, not in the mood to talk. Fate of the world, and all. I understand. Everyone, please shear the mirrors!"

The young man waits long enough to hope that the demon loses all of its mirror images before he levels his attacks.

Roll 20 Map

Allarnon charges forward, drawing an AoO which misses while Tarkir takes out two images. Dimitrio charges in also drawing an AoO, and takes out an image. Kaylayne hits the demon three times, though it does little damage after natural immunities to fire. Ederin also hits the demon, doing a little damage after DR. Lief delays, hoping to make his attacks more effective, but he too faces one remaining mirror image.

The giant snake, who a moment ago was doing so well, took well over a hundred hit points of damage in the round, and it's lone image, spins softly a moment longer as the snake behind the magics falters and falls to the ground with a loud wet *slap*.

It lies there bleeding...

Lief continues to stick the xacarba several times, while the others heal themselves. Given a small window of time, he looks into the maw of the demon, wondering how easy it might be to harvest the creature's poison. Instead of risking poisoning himself, he cuts a swath of snakeskin from the beast, and wraps it up, tucking it away for later study.

"I suppose we should pilfer what we can from the priestesses, eh?" Lief ransacks the drow quarters, and demonstrates what he can find to the others, before proceeding.

The young man produces an old healing wand, and treats some of Ederin's wounds. "You really got savaged back there. I suppose I don't need to point that out."

"Thanks Lief." Ederin grunts as his wounds close a bit and his head stops swimming. With the loss of blood no longer hindering his thoughts, he fishes one of his own wands out of his bag and heals himself some more.

Lief hears nothing through the double doors, excepting maybe the lapping of not to distant water? Hard to know what was heard through the very heavy rune encrusted portals.

The party perfunctorily searches the drow quarters while Ederin heals, but nothing magical reveals itself in your checks. The items that are there are sumptuous, and will fetch a high price in the markets of home, but not likely heavy on your mind just now as demons could teleport in at any moment.

The drow however had a small treasure trove upon them. You find 8 +2 short swords, 5 wands of fireball (5 charges), 3 wands of lighting bolt (5 charges), 8 +2 chain mails, and 8 +2 cloaks of resistance (not that their saves needed the boost!).

Roll 20 Map

Kaylayne finds an adjoining bathroom, complete with running water.

The double doors appears safe, and are opened by the observant adventurer into the nave.

Four towering rooster-headed, snake-legged statues of stone dominate this large antechamber, massive sculptures that seem carved out of the pillars that hold up the cavernous ceiling (30' up at the peak). Glowing runes wind around the statues, along the walls, and in strange shifting coils across the polished stone floor and domed ceiling above.

A pair of double doors to the north bear more symbols, dominant among them the demon head with snake tails trailing from the mouth. To the south, the chamber opens up into a large cavern largely filled with, well, water. Mostly. Some of the blood has seeped into the otherwise fairly clear fluid, clotting and scabbing the surface of the water.

Lief nods quietly, taking the full CLW wand, and clicking it into place on his wrist sheath, after healing himself.

Allarnon walks towards the waters edge and extends his senses into the dark... but nothing comes back as all is quiet.

On the map, you can ignore the small tunnel leading NW from near Allarnon. That tunnel does not exist - map error.

The runes on the pillars are unintelligible, but they are not the final glyph, of that you are certain. The nearest Kaylayne can figure they look like Abyssal, the glyphs use a lot of the same characters, but in some ancient tongue of which she's unfamiliar.

Lief too comes up empty. There are some glyphs on the door, but they seem to be like the last door - informative and not combative.

"And neither of you can read the glyphs?" Ed frowns as he nears the door and looks it over. "Hope we ain't missin' anythin' important then, but ain't much for it. We need to keep movin' or we'll be over run. Surprised we ain't been ambushed yet to be honest."

With Lief indicating the he thinks the door is safe, Ederin will wait until Allarnon and Dimitrio are close by, then open the door.

The last formula he drinks is followed by the sound of cracking bone. His arms begin to elongate, while he gauges the new length of his rapier's attack. Cast Long Arm

When it is clear that they will breach the double doors, Lief renews Hialin's Displacement, the third of five full group administrations.

Roll 20 Map

As soon as Ederin approaches the doors, they are flung open from the other side, to reveal a menagerie of drow and demon folk, ready to stop your advance.

This wide, spacious hall is lit by constantly writhing runes dancing along the walls of the room, bathing the contents with shifting purple lights. A much larger rune, circular and fifteen feet across, oats a foot above the oor in an alcove to the west at the far end of a wide upraised pulpit.

A circular flight of steps leads down from the front of the pulpit to a lower area. Pillars carved to resemble coiling snakes support the cathedral celing a hundred feet above, and in alcoves along the walls stand immense stone statues of a snake-legged, bird-faced demon.

When you first arrive in this room, you find a strange and eerie ritual in full swing. Standing
in a semicircle in the lower portion of the chamber at the edge of the steps are several of Allevrah’s most devout soldiers, while a few of her priestesses stand atop the pulpit.

All the drow face the master glyph, and are deeply focused on it and chanting a complex hymn to aid in its call to the falling star far above.

Vrocks perch on the statues of Abraxas or cling to the pillars throughout the room, occasionally lending their raucous calls to the chanting.

Allevrah herself stands just to the edge of the master glyph, facing it as well, a statuesque beauty dressed in shimmering chainmail, wielding a demonic shield in one hand and a writhing scaly whip in the other. Her right ear, clipped o halfway down its length in a decisive battle against an enemy she’s long forgotten in her previous life as an elf, is the only feature one who knew her in her former life could use to identify her.

She reacts to your arrival with the smile of one finally reunited with an old, almost forgotten lover. She has no speech to give you. She simply directs the attention of her minions, drow and demon alike, to them with an almost casual wave of the hand, and the battle is on as they rush into position.

Dimitrio, your inspire courage is NOT going as yet as the doors were opened before the party was fully prepared. More to come in a moment. Ederin's feast bonus lasts all day. :)

Kaylayne rubs her eyes at the hordes of a#~$&$&s arrayed against her. She shrugs, having no idea what might be useful offensively or defensively.

Kaylayne looks again at the hordes of enemies, hoping many of them have disappeared. She looks back at her companions.

"If any of you charge in there, I'm personally going to include you in every fireball, lightning arc, and distintigration I cast. HOLD THE PIDDLESPOTTING DOOR! DON'T LET THEM SURROUND YOU!" She waggles her fingers menacingly at the bears.
