note about the noble your escorting:
she is a farghul(like a cat person), who is quite vain and is very rich. she is also young, and the oldest heir to an even larger inheritance. if her father dies she gets quite the sum of credits, but if she dies, her step-brother gets the cash.
her step-brother is also a farghul, but is much older than her, and very poor(for a noble). just something to think about

What about dark side? While I don't plan to go full cackling Emperor (I'll spend Force points to reduce my score if I have to, rather than going full dark), is it okay if I'm not a saint (especially since my character has no Jedi training to be like "There is no emotion, only peace.")
Other than that question, I just need to pick my 3 Force powers and my talent (trying to decide if I want to take a scoundrel talent or a force talent at first level)

not being a jedi, there really is no difference in the light and dark side for you. however, you can still gain darkside points. i am allowing you to become jedi later on, but you have to have promise as a jedi (force sensitivity helps). however, you have to follow the rules of the dark side whether or not you are a jedi. you cannot use light side powers unless you have no darkside points. in my game, darkside points can be taken away(however they cannot be reduced to 0 one you have them) with good deeds.

Well, yeah dramatic heroism... and I really have no interest in becoming a jedi (at least this character) I'm more into the other traditions (my favorite is sadly not available in this time period) so force adept is the route I'd take.
And wait, that thing about not being able to use light side powers is that something you are changing, or did I misread? I know it was that way in Revised, but the saga book just says you can't spend force points on light powers if you have dark side points, not that you can't use them?
And you mean you can never ever ever go back to 0, or just not with minor good deeds?

about that processor, hero droids begin play with one of those , a vocabulator, two arms, and a form of movement. they get an additional 1000 credits to spend wherever they want( in terms of being a droid that is...attached weapons,more arms, armor, extra forms of transportation and such). you don't need to worry about the processor.

I'm looking to play a young Zabrak native of Coruscant named Kalimir "Kal" Volo. He has dreams of following in his father's footsteps as a notorious starfighter pilot, yet he can't seem to get himself off of Coruscant. He's taking up the job as an escort in hopes of leaving his dead-end Taxi job and hopefully explore life.
I am undecided on class. I could easily see the character as a scout, soldier or scoundrel. One thing I'd like to include, if GM allows it, is that Kal is force sensitive. I don't see him being a force user, per se, but the force manifests itself in his quick reaction time. Think of how Anakin was able to be such a great podracer and pilot with very little experience and you've got the right idea.
I'll have crunch posted as soon as I get some free time. (just throwing this post up now to show that I am officially in the running :D)

Wow, didn't realize there'd be so many scouts. I'll switch Volo to a scoundrel. The skills seem more appropriate anyway.
good idea. two scouts are fine, the HP helps and if we get a soldier we can have a tank... a jedi would help too, but no-one has submitted one yet :)
oh for everyone, assume the answer to your question is yes, unless you believe it may be no. most third party stuff is allowed as long as you give me some reference. however if your question is something like "can i be a rancor?" then it is obviously no.

Yeah I'm almost done I think, just need to double check that I got everything right (New to Saga, only played Revised) and I'll be playing a shi'ido scoundrel that is force sensitive.
Here is a link to a printed version of the fillable PDF I used (note it has a flaw, won't let me change my Fort level value, so it should be 1 not 0) and i also need to do equipment. Also, being a shi'ido that height and weight is technically variable, that's just her current 'preferred' form posing as a human or near-human (which depends on if I find a really cool but not totally human looking avatar I want to use, then she'll be a 'unknown near-human race' like Aurra Sing is :P )

Haven't had the chance to remake Volo, but after seeing all the scouts and scoundrels, I will go with a soldier, but stick with the same concept (force sensitive pilot).
Edit: on second thought, with the concept I have and the abilities scores I rolled, it's probably best I stick to scoundrel, if it's not too detrimental to the game. I will have the remade character posted tomorrow after work.
