This is Falco's new, improved character concept. The build and backstory are done. Let me know what you think! 8)
Alaric has always lived in Grunshire and will probably always live there.
Growing up, Alaric was a carefree and happy kid. His dad, Alistair, was the local blacksmith and he had begun to teach Alaric the craft.
After two summers as apprentice to his old man, Alaric's beloved Grunshire was raided. Alistair told him to hide in the smithy: he disobeyed.
Alaric followed his father into the street and watched from behind a water barrel as Alistair used his mighty greatsword to defend his home.
Pride swelled in his chest as Alaric watched his dad make a good account of himself with his house made steel. Then, all of a sudden, that pride morphed into panic. His father fell to a coward's knife:stabbed in the back.
Alaric felt a wild rage welling up inside him. He charged, knocked his father's killer to the ground and killed him with his father's sword. He went on to help drive out the attackers.
Today, Alaric serves as Grunshire's blacksmith. He lives with his mother and sleeps with his father's broken blade above his bed. He is always ready to defend his family and his town from attack. Though a kind and good person, Alaric is somewhat prickly. He doesn't put up with much and does not think twice what others may think of him.
This is close to what Alaric looks like. Imagine a slightly older man with less hair.

HP: Full hit dice at first level. average+1+con all levels after 1st
Languages: Common will be most spoken language. There are hints of elven ruins all around and an even more ancient civilizations ruins have been reported in the area.
Ill let players decide what languages they take but just think of your characters background and ask when would they even have time to learn such a weird language :)

I was going to take only the various Human languages (refer to Humans of Golarion).
You did not cover the weapons and armour questions, as I am doing equipment right now.

I think he's looking for simple, gritty characters Azure. Keep it easy man. Just my 2 coppers.
I like making sure I don't take or use things that are a no-no or where left unclear and I don't know it's impact on the game.
Do you consider the Brawler archetype of fighter gritty and simple?
@ GM Raventhorn,
Never mind about the armour question, I have enough for a chain shirt

Okay, this character just got the shaft in another game, and I really liked her concept before she got borked.
Need to rearrange her stats and such for 20 point buy, but, I give you Hermia Robin, fey-touched Cloistered Cleric of Erastil (since James Jacobs said that in Golarian, all clerics must worship a deity)

As i understand Hermia looking at ur stats u might wanna rly rearrange them. if u read above, the DM doesnt want any stat dumping. also i didnt read too much into ur background but u have to supply a reason why ur in this country and what ur doing, maybe as a mercenary or a traveling priest. either way its up to u just letting u know so u dont get the boot

Not to be rude, but read the first post; Core races ONLY. It's there

I am aware, Paizo just borked my efforts to do such...Bummer.

I did not know that it was a gensai, the avatar just looked rather fey like in appearance when I chose it.
Anyway, I have updated my profile. Hermia is from Grunshire, and wishes to represent the community, and protect it from chaos. Still NG, will focus in combating evil and what not. A diplomancer with a heart of gold.

Wow, just read that, and it is actually very rude.
My character is human. Fey foundling is a feat you take at first level. It gives you bonuses to healing when you're healed. It doesn't make you a super human.
My character has no more fey blood than a Gnome, which incidentally is Core as well.
And the GM has already stated that the religions in his setting are Golarian standard.

Sorry, thought it was Fey-touched race from Fiend Folio, since "Human" was no where in your post describing the character, you just had Cleric and Fey-touched (note they are bolded above as evidence).
This so is a misunderstandings on both our parts.

Yeah, is just a touchy subject at the moment, assuming I don't read or answer posts correctly. I just quit a very frustrating game, where I was using this character, and am interested in playing her and responding to normal challenges in a sane and balanced group rather than... what I quit.
My apologies for popping off fresh.

No worries,
I was almost going to pop of fresh in response, but quickly realized that a miscommunication occurred and that was the cause and quickly clammed myself. And relaying the source of the miscommunication to stop what could have lead to a bad flame war, or insult throw match. No one is perfect. I have characters I would love to run as well, but never get a chance to.

Alaric Moody |

Howdy Alaric, Mister Bad-rump, Sir. As my character is also from the town, you want to coordinate so we have awareness of each other at the very least, or would that displease our DM?
I think we should. 8)
Since his father's death, Alaric is openly bitter at the gods. However, his father's patron deity was Erastil so, in effect, he is Alaric's as well.
Being the town blacksmith makes him something of a public figure in the little town. Most people respect is advice but don't ask often because he puts forth a prickly countenance so as not to invite personal ties. Personal ties = risk.
Secretly, Alaric is fond of children and often does what he can to teach them and make their lives better, but he will publicly denounce them as truants and heathens.
Alaric loves Grunshire and its people: being the tough guy is really just a front.
let me know what you think our relationship could be!

Hermia Robin |

I had thought, as you, that since the forge is the cornerstone of a community, Hermia would try to minister to its smith. Because your father was a devout, or at least I imagine if you're devoted to a LG god you go to mass when it's called for, and if you're bitter and do not show up, she will likely have taken some time to come out and speak to you personally.
If you rebuff her because personal ties = risk, she will likely visit on occasion, but not so often that it becomes bothersome. I'm thinking that you'd know her name, and that she is devoted to the community. You might have heard some rumors while you were growing up about her being a wild child who saw things that weren't really there and made up fantastic stories, but primarily you would know her as the goodly soul that seems to find excuses to come visit once every 4-6 weeks, and she's the one that leads the temple mule in when it needs a shoe replaced, that sort of thing.

GM Raventhorn |

Not to be a downer guys however I probably should've mentioned this in recruitment that I wasn't planning on anyone actually wanting to be from grunshire lol
So im left with two options
1. Abide by my mistake and aloow both of you thus reconfiguring story a slight bt
2. Ask that you guys perhaps not be from grunshire and start off like everyone else id prefer a fresh start for everyone just so no one assumes they are getting in and dont have to roleplay as well as someone who isnt from Grunshire.
So I will allow you guys to decide between the applicants themselves, the others I mean what would you guys like to do
Otherwise I will come to my official decision later on tonight

Hermia Robin |

History has been revised, as well as motivation.
Hermia is a pure support caster, and sometimes band-aid. Cloistered Cleric affords her the added ability to be handy in terms of making knowledge checks. Her domain is community, which means she'll always have the basic buffs covered, as well as be able to remove minor cruddy conditions like staggered, etc.
Hermia loves puzzles, historical, political, whichever. She enjoys hearing stories, thinking on them, and will offer her advice on how to approach a certain situation.
Hermia hates evil, and threats to the community. I see her taking Alignment Channel (Good) at the very least.
Her motivation to join a band of mercenaries is to ensure that they follow a righteous path, and found a good community. She believes in the intent of their mission, and hopes that she might lead by example, or at the very least advise one strong enough to destroy the evil in their lands, and bring order to the chaos.

@ Tina only couple small problems I can see, one if your taking cestus' just for monk ability and plan on taking monk levels might want to re think weapons cause Im just going to say this so its over with lol Please no monks I hate the class and by my way of thinking how will an Ulfen woman almost barbarian take the time to get levels in monk. Second I have no idea what a tonfa is lol.
but only big thing is the weapons being taken for monk levels other than that looks good like I said rp starts tommorow and Ill be supplying setting for all of you after Ive decided what happens with the two characters that wish to be from the town
Also you have on your profile saying your only doing 1d2 dmg for cestus' and daggers why? your medium size and they do 1d4's

Tina Azura Valerius |

Tonfa is a police night stick (refer to crude "character" drawing)
--------------
|
Cestus are simple weapons in the Close weapons group
(Brawlers are pushed to Close weapons like; Cestus, Daggers, Tonfa, and a few others )
I have edited out the monk in leveling data and replaced it with barbarian, now I have an idea for a new twist in the build.
The weapon damage was incorrectly typed in for cestus and daggers.
due to copy and pasting from template.
