Marsh Giant Mayhem Round 2 Update

Maitreya forced himself through the swamp as fast as he could, his skin still burning from the dozens of leech bites he'd suffered.

The marsh giant in front of him watched the aasimar come, hefting a massive pole ending in a cruel hooked blade. It grasped the pole in both hands and tensed, always keeping the gaff hook between its body and the approaching monk.

Brand splashed forward as well, gathering speed before jumping forwards and upwards, springing into the lower branches of a half-drowned willow tree. He clung there, soaked to the skin but free of the swamps mud and muck, trying to hide among the willows low-hanging branches.

Marsh Giant's Perception DC 29: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 11 + 2 = 30

Talon moved off into the swamp as well, concealing himself in a patch of marsh grass, reloading his crossbow as he went.

The giant with the crocodile toothed club moved towards the willow tree and then paused, thwacking the clun against his free hand.

Oi! Aint chu jus' a little jackrabbit, now? Well, little rabbit man, I'ma gon' grind yer bones fer me bread and bleed ya real slow. Ya hear dat rabbit man? Real slow!"

Using stunning fist is like using a disarm, it is an attack, I suppose that flurry isn't the same as multiple attacks though, so forget attacks 2 and 4? Then it is just standard attacks.

I guess my point is that, if Maitreya has to move more than 5 feet, he gets one attack, period. Starting at 1st level, a monk can make a flurry of blows as a full-attack action.

You are not in it yet. I would have described it, had you taking damage, and making saving throws if you were. Are you taking a move action in Round 2? A double move? To where? What is your goal? Are you casting anything? Be as specific as you can be. And also post round 3 since you are not in the swarm as you thought. Thanks

Ah, but my point was I reached him last round. I spent the ki point to boost my speed which is normally 60, and double moved. Half speed for terrain, but I should have made it with a speed of 80, no?

Difficult terrain halves movement. Are you able to reference the battle map? You are 15 feet away from the gaff hook giant after your double move. You were farther away than Brand (I noticed you quoted a post for him showing he was 130 feet away from the giants). You may have confused this for your own distance from the giants.

Bah. I see the problem. We quote people too much. I ended up with some distances meant for Jesse in my own quote box, hence the confusion.

For the sake of keeping things simple. Single move and stunning fist, as above. Ignore the rest of the attacks. Bring on the AoO

The first, a silver haired woman of exceeding beauty shot forward with amazing speed and speared two of the giants with a lance of brilliant silver lightning. Flee now and you will be spared. the monk promised. He noticed then the first of the leeches wriggling in the water around him, the main body of swarm seconds behind.

Enraged at the leaping, spinning monk, the marsh giant battling Brand brought his club down in several bone-breaking smashes, intent on pulping the quick warrior, the club always a split second too late.

No attack of opportunity. I gave the giant the option to run.

Swarms are better handled by balls of lightning. I'll make a double move away, before my stats are too damaged. 1 ki point for extra motivation.

Is it a feat or item that gives the double save thing? With my Fist of Heaven it could be a pretty sweet addition.

Good to know on the shield. Casting silence ON the Shaman means he will not be silent if he saves. Casting it on the reeds by him, means he doesn't get a save but it doesn't stick to him if/when he moves. P.S. I already have a Round 4 action from you. This is round 5, I believe.

Maitreya just makes it to the warriors side. From here, he can see the damage to the heavy armor the man wears and see a scalp wound that has turned the mans unconscious face into a mask of blood.
