Gabriel, The Just |
Gabriel will take a moment to channel energy into his hands and lay it over his wounds.
LOH: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
"I'm fine master elf. I will hold the breach and fend off the spiders if the rest of you can deal with them from range."
[ooc]Gabriel can stand in the doorway full defense while the rest of you deal with the spiders it may take a bit but they should have trouble hitting AC 24
Jor Majere |
Looking at the group and sighing as Jor turns towards Mithas "Its your opinion now Mithas. A dogs salary with this kind of contract" smirking at him "I would say but I do hope to get something out of this if you decide to clean those spiders? After all I am hired by you"
High God of Krynn |
Cole looks flustered and says "Why are we even bothering with this? Besides I all got against spiders is my fire spells and I can't use them in there. You guys took my dagger, crossbow and bolts away from me and then sold it all at the marketplace so don't ask em to go in there. Lets just move on and get to where we need to go."
Mithas Aran |
"We'll I think there there is still some time on the clock, Jor, but if the spiders' lair holds an item that strikes your fancy, consider it yours. If we decide to fight, of course."
Mithas peers into web filled room, "Why don't I just take a quick peek. No point in just running in there, when we can just lure them out and squash them on our own terms. And if there's like 50 of them in there, we can just walk away."
MIthas will sneak into the edge of the spider room and take a look around.

Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
Quintus, have these spiders been a threat to the enclave? I do not recall hearing that they were. inquires the elf while handing his quarterstaff to the sorcerer.
High God of Krynn |
Quintis says, "The spiders have not caused any trouble to the enclave. While they are dangerous we know to keep away from them and no one of the enclave has been harmed yet. They mainly feed off the local goblin population. Still I suppose it would do us a favour if we could kill the spiders off before they become a real nuisance."
High God of Krynn |
Ok Mithas sneaks into the room and avoids touching the webs. He finds that there is one large spider, 4 Medium spiders and 8 small spiders as well as a large nest with a lot of eggs. He also gets a closer look at the glittering object. It appears to be a greatsword that is tied up in the webbing but beyond his reach to sneak out without jostling the webs and alerting the spiders. There appears to be a mix of other objects in the webs as well. Quintis was also correct as you can tell the foundations in this room are crumbling and it seems only the webs are holding it together.
Alathea of Solace |
Feel free to DMPC me if I fall behind, I missed Round 2 and 4 actions in the last combat.
Alathea shrugs, "We may as well eliminate all troubles for the elves while we are here though the spiders are part of the natural order of things we cannot have them slaying defenseless elves either.
Alathea casts cure light wounds on Gabriela 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Swap out Sanctuary for CLW.
Mithas Aran |
Sneak: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Mithas sneaks back to the group and reports his findings.
"So what do you think? There's definitely a big sword in there and maybe some other goodies. The whole room is a mess and I don't think we should fight in there, but I think if we lure them into the door way and only fight them a couple at a time, we should be able to hand the spiders. Thought? Or we could just walk away.
High God of Krynn |
Quintis says to Alathea, "Were you not listening? The webs are flammable and if you set a fire in there you risk bringing down the whole ceiling and burning out the entire room. If we have to fight we have to fight without using fire."
As for Terevalis you move within 60 feet of the sword and detect magic. It detects as magical. You also detect there is a weak potion-like magical aura in the webs as well.
Jor Majere |
Hearing Mithas out and thinking a plan Jor shrugs his shoulders. "Well, I do carry my Crossbow for a good reason. Never had the chance to use it anyway so might as well pick first shot with it"
Picking up his heavy crossbow dangling from his side "Just make a bit noise, shoot at the spiders and then Gabriel just blocks the front.
Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 Might as well roll it out if necessary
Alathea of Solace |
Alathea turns to the elf, "If the ceiling falls so fall the spiders, we can pick through the rubble if need be, if not the threat of the spiders will end. Baubles and trinkets are not my reason for being here. If we must go in, we must go in, but if you perish, that shall be no fault of my own".
Alathea will cast Bless on the party.
Initiative 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
High God of Krynn |
Ok the Pashin Sewer Battle 3 map is up so you can play from there. Cole is standing back and not involving himself in the fight as he has been told fire would be bad in this room and you "Acquired" and sold his crossbow.
Large spider Initiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Medium spiders Initiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Small spiders Initiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
So roll for initiative if you have not gone but it looks like Jor gets to go first with a surprise action for rolling a natural 20. So Jor yoy get a standard action and then your normal turn afterwards. The spiders see you but have not reacted yet giving you the jump on them. BTW if you step in any squares with the black webbing you risk getting webbed. Webs also provide light concealment to spiders as it is a thick layer of them and they obscure vision.
