Dragonlance: Heroes of a New Age

Dragonlance spells are pretty low powered compared to pathfinder spells so I have no problem incorporating them into the game. As for learning them you can usually get them from scrolls or wizard libraries or taking them as your level up spells.

Sorry guys this is such a busy time for me, I'm away almost every weekend. I should have posted. Will be in Tampa next weekend so no posting again. I will catch up.
Not to worry, I certainly am willing to NPC your character if your posting cannot be done. Just hope that its ok to do that in order to move things along in the game.
Yeah I'm fine with being NPC'd, I love the speed this game moves at. I'm in front of the computer all day at work. I just don't get on the computer much at night or on the weekends because my job is at it.

Now as in OOC I guess Mithas would need those Bracers the most as he is monk. Unable to use armors so that would be a good benefit to him.
Regarding to Shield I guess Gabriel just received an upgrade or? Even if he earns Shield Bash for free, doesnst it apply still Two-weapon fighting penalties? or you are able to use it for free
Yes two weapon fighting penalties still apply if he does both a sword and shield bash at the same time. However the shield counts as a light weapon for purposes of dual-wielding. He can bash with the shield as a single attack for no penalty. However Shield-Bashing also makes you lose the AC bonus of your shield for 1 round.
Yeah I would need a +6 dex item before I could even take two weapon fighting. Not in the cards for this guy :)
Welp giving you a chance for more potential loot. That is one bad thing about this dungeon. As written you usually don't have a guide so left to wander the sewers on your own. You could hit the encounters and get loot or take the right path and get to the enclave without incident.

How are we doing HP?
I'm loath to pass up the opportunity for loot, especially in such a low magic setting.

The fighters look pretty beat up.

Actually, I am full hp. Just Gabriel and his condition does worry me since we do not have so much tankiness
other points is the healing of our cleric and magical slots of our mage . If we can do it without needing healing or at least so much, we can manage it

I cast my biggie damage causing spell on the ghast. The abjurations I have might be a little non result when fighting a spider but I can always try to burn them with acid.
HP: 96 | AC:20 / Touch: 12 / FF: 16 | Init +4 | Perception +12 | Fort: +9 / Refl: +7 / Will: +4
We are now waiting actions from Terevalis only or Alathea too?
also somehow I have a feeling we did bite a bigger piece than we could handle heh, no pun intended
EDIT: Also noticed that we are missing 2nd Round action from Mithas
The spiders aren't that strong though. They do have a good bonus to hit but they only do like 1d4-1 or 1d6 damage. The Small spiders are 1 hit kills basically. I did make this fight harder though by adding more spiders as in the book the fight was so laughably easy even for a party of 4 2nd level characters. You also have an NPC helping you too. The poison saves are pretty low as well.
HP: 96 | AC:20 / Touch: 12 / FF: 16 | Init +4 | Perception +12 | Fort: +9 / Refl: +7 / Will: +4
Alathea still to go and we can continue with round 4.
Sidenote: This game is advancing in a nice speed, just my opinion. A bit surprised about it even.
I like the pace alot, I feel bad about being so busy on the weekends. One day I may have a smart phone :) Maybe I will use the wifes this weekend or I will try and remember to take the tablet to Tampa with us so I can use it. Leaving after work friday and probably going out friday night so no posting for me friday after work till at least sometime saturday.

I am happy with the rate of advancement and the character development and the group.

Jor & Gabriel & Terevalis have already posted their round 5 actions. Waiting for round 5 actions from Mithas & Alathea

That last post was my round 5, I just forgot to edit the round on the post.
Sorry dinner party last night. Reading and catching up now.

I am taking a look at the WoHS PRC in the Towers of High Sorcery book. How would you handle the PRC if I took it with Enchanced Specilization? Depending on the Test would it be possible to retrain per the Ultimate Campaign book?
Humm, well I am considering scrapping the class altogether and giving the Magical Item, Moon Magic and Tower Resources for free. As for the Order Secrets you can buy them with Wizard Bonus Feats instead of meta-magic feats. Does that sound fair to you?
M Silvanesti Elf Wizard (Necromancer) 6/5 Renegade Hunter Int +2 AC 22, touch 22, flat-footed 10 (+2 Dex) hp 44 (9d6+9) Fort +5, Ref +6, Will +7; +2 vs. enchantments Defensive Abilities resistance; Immune sleep;
That sounds fair! The test would still take place at 4th level?
Well it would probably be done 3rd or 4th level depending on what you do and when you report to the testing ground. You will level up soon.
M Silvanesti Elf Wizard (Necromancer) 6/5 Renegade Hunter Int +2 AC 22, touch 22, flat-footed 10 (+2 Dex) hp 44 (9d6+9) Fort +5, Ref +6, Will +7; +2 vs. enchantments Defensive Abilities resistance; Immune sleep;
And how long it takes to get there. That is fine. How long would it take you to prepare a Test?
Its a 10 day journey on foot to Ak-Khurman. Its like 12 day journey to Kuri-Khan. Either place can give you the test unless you want to leave Khur and travel to somewhere outside to find a wizard. You also could go to Wayreth but that would take you probably a month of travel on foot to get there and you'ed probably be killed by Goblins unless you had some protection or are stealthy enough to sneak through there. The Qualinesti Forest is overun by Goblins at the moment and while the tower can keep the Goblins away, this does not extend beyond the tower itself.

Poor Towers and Qualanesti. I think it is easier to take it at either one of these places.
my vote is Ak-Khurman, I have business there :)
HP: 96 | AC:20 / Touch: 12 / FF: 16 | Init +4 | Perception +12 | Fort: +9 / Refl: +7 / Will: +4
Oh, ty for the information High God. Jor needs anyway time to prepare his letter for the Company so will take his time to write plus he needs to get a better armor for the future. Have to do some shopping
Also thinking what to do with Dove. Somehow or anotherway I have this feeling I got stuck with Female Courtesan as my cohort :P
Indeed I have MUCH planned in Ak-Khurman for everyone so going there first would actually be a prudent choice.

Everyone will level up to Level 3 after doing everything in the Elven Enclave and then getting a night's rest. So feel free to roll your Hit Points and get your level ups out of the way on the side.

Hm, we might need some tools but not sure what for the trip. Any ideas?

A chastity belt for Jor. :)
HP: 96 | AC:20 / Touch: 12 / FF: 16 | Init +4 | Perception +12 | Fort: +9 / Refl: +7 / Will: +4
Hey, totally unnecessary :D We do know that mercenaries are the bad boys :P chika chika bowwow

Can we just take the HD average for HP?
You roll but if you get less thatn 1/2 your Hit die you take half. I like to have some randomness.
Female Human Cleric 9 | HP = 61/71 - AC=23 - Channel 0/9 - Tear 11/20 - Hero Points 1/1 - Fort +9, Ref +4, Will +13 - Ini +1 - Per +14 Cleric 9
Alathea will wear the chastity belt since Dove will not be around. Getting on a flight now. Will level when I get home.
HP: 96 | AC:20 / Touch: 12 / FF: 16 | Init +4 | Perception +12 | Fort: +9 / Refl: +7 / Will: +4
Anyone want to offer an idea which way I should go with feat tree?
So far I have following buildup in my mind->
As Jor progresses I will get-> Weapon Spec + G. Weap. Spe + Disruptive Feats
Now the question is-> should I get
1) Furious Focus (getting rid of penalty to my PA)
2) Step Up (staying close to enemies casters and forcing them to defensive casting)
3) Combat reflexes (offer protection in form of pure attaccking and possible hits against moving enemies against other party members)
PS: Alathea, why have a fear against Jor :P
Step up might not be as useful in this setting. There is not a ton of casters in the Dragonlance World.
HP: 96 | AC:20 / Touch: 12 / FF: 16 | Init +4 | Perception +12 | Fort: +9 / Refl: +7 / Will: +4
Oh, I always pick "Step Up" due to casters since it really make fighter job easier when wizards / sorcerers are not able to cast their spells so often or even failing them.
Good to know. So either Furious Focus to bring extra accurasy for those PA hits or Combat Reflex to bring some battlefield control
M Silvanesti Elf Wizard (Necromancer) 6/5 Renegade Hunter Int +2 AC 22, touch 22, flat-footed 10 (+2 Dex) hp 44 (9d6+9) Fort +5, Ref +6, Will +7; +2 vs. enchantments Defensive Abilities resistance; Immune sleep;
I hardly play martial classes so the only advice he can offer is a vastectomy. :)

If you had a reach weapon, I would say combat reflexes, but as is, you might as well go with furious focus. If you are planning on putting points into intimidate, dazzling display is also a pretty solid option.
1d8 ⇒ 3 -> 4hp
Updated to level three. Took deadly aim as my feat.
Buying an ioun torch (if possible) and some arrows before we head out.
Are we all going to buy horses?
M Silvanesti Elf Wizard (Necromancer) 6/5 Renegade Hunter Int +2 AC 22, touch 22, flat-footed 10 (+2 Dex) hp 44 (9d6+9) Fort +5, Ref +6, Will +7; +2 vs. enchantments Defensive Abilities resistance; Immune sleep;
Have we gotten any other treasure?
Who is keeping track of group loot like the potions and stuff?
HP: 96 | AC:20 / Touch: 12 / FF: 16 | Init +4 | Perception +12 | Fort: +9 / Refl: +7 / Will: +4
Oooh, I completely forgot Dazzling Display.
Hm.. that does sound like a good option
